Michael W. "THE place for steaks in Milwaukee. Old school supper club that has been around since 1946! That's right, over 75 years and running! A landmark restaurant in Milwaukee. As soon as you walk in, you are transported back in time to the classic Wisconsin supper club scene, with wood paneled walls and old pictures hanging around a massive bar. The hostess will tell you to grab a cocktail at said bar and order your food from there as well. We did as we were told, and we ordered a couple of cocktails. I ordered probably the best sidecar I've ever had. Once you have ordered your dinner and saddled up with the bartender, your waiter will take you to your table where a bowl of salad, a relish tray and warm bread await you. Don't gorge too much on the salad and bread however, because when the steak you ordered comes out, you will regret it! We ordered a porterhouse and shared it between the two of us, and I'm glad we did! It was massive and probably the best steak I've ever eaten. They cook it just right, medium rare, and a little charred on the outside. It was incredibly tender and juicy. We told the waitress it was our anniversary, and she comped us a slice of Key lime pie, which was also incredible. To top it off, we ordered a dessert drink, a Brandy Alexander, a favor of ours at any supper club we visit. It was very boozy! A nice way to end an incredible meal and experience. It's not cheap but I didn't feel the prices were outrageous either for what you get. They have live music every Friday and Saturday at the bar, and there is additional seating upstairs in the Alley Cat Lounge. A gem of a restaurant, this place is fantastic. The atmosphere, drinks and food can't be beat. A must visit for anyone in the Milwaukee area!"

Rick R. "Several more visits since last review, and still great experiences. Tonight, a friend and I shared the Waygu Meatballs with Burrata and Caramelized Brussels sprouts as starters. The meatballs were a perfectly firm texture with the right amount of seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were as great as they look in the photo! My friend ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi, and I ordered the Bucatini Bolognese. The pasta and gnocchi are made in house. I had a couple pieces of her gnudi (gnocchi made from ricotta) and found them to bee too dense, but the sauce they were served in was delicious! My bucatini was a perfect texture, and the bolognese sauce tasted great! It's made with wagyu beef and Berkshire pork, so I wish the sauce had a lot less cream, so the meat could stand out in a thinner tomato sauce. Again, great flavor! For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Sachet, filled with white chocolate mousse and raspberry puree, and it was mind blowingly decadent! The Limoncello Chambord Mousse with sugar cookie was also decadent, but the Chocolate Sachet was our favorite! We each ordered a cocktail. I had the Blood Orange Manhattan, and it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had! Their cocktail program is pretty strong! I've enjoyed many over the years from them. Our service from Emily and Mary was on point! They were both fun and personable. The view of the lake across the street, as we dined on the patio, added to the great experience! They've been here for 10 years and still going strong! Check them out!"

"On a summer day approaching fall, we had a lunch in O'Toole's enclosed patio. The menu is creative, taking the pub approach but with upscale tasting ambition.I had the burger with blue cheese and bacon. The toasted bread was better than the typical bun, the coleslaw was prepped creatively. But a burger? Yes, but on advice of the server, putting in a medium rare request brought a burger with the perfect pink.My companion had a pimento grilled cheese - again, carefully prepared, creative. Honestly I would not mind a bit if that practice remains. I wish I could say more about their menu but every time I'm here it seems to be Friday and I cannot pass up walleye. The breading can sometimes be too thick or not crispy enough but overall it is worth the price. My guy was very happy with his filet this last time and was a big fan of the mashed potatoes and gravy. This isn't a fancy place but the food is solid and the all you can eat walleye on Fridays is a catch. Darrin M. "I needed to find a meeting point between Appleton and MKE. Fond du Lac was the city and Urban Fuel was the location. What a great choice. Urban Fuel is off the beaten path a bit, in case you are thinking it is just off the Hwy. Located on the east side of town in a residential type area. One may think you are heading the wrong way, but rest assured you will find it nestled in a small business center. First thing you will be amazed with is the size of the place. The pics don't do it justice. There is plenty of space and you can have a quiet place or be in the action. They have a nice fireplace area to settle into as well. The staff is great and can make abut anything you want. My almond milk green tea latte was perfect and came in a nice clear glass mug. No frill, no waste and no little green stopper needed. The menu is perfect for the appetite we had. Breakfast sandwich with choice of egg, bread, cheese and breakfast meat. Everything came out hot and cooked perfectly. Thomas T. "My experience with Alioto's is from a group gathering. We didn't have an open menu to work with, but 4 decent choices: Filet (beef), chicken parm, some sort of fish (maybe the cod?), and a veggie pasta dish. Most of the folks around me got the filet option. While it was smaller (I'm guessing the "petite" cut vs. "queen"), the flavor was fantastic. I savored every bite. And the button mushrooms just kicked it into another gear - they soaked up the beef juice and amplified all the flavors. I'm not eating potatoes currently, so I shared those (my wife gave me her salad, so it was fair).I knew a few people that got the chicken parmesan, and they really enjoyed it. it was served with mostaccioli. Service was well done - very friendly and efficient. The building itself is a little dated, carrying an old-timey "supper club" feeling. But the layout is pretty good to where they can cordon off areas for private gatherings while keeping a separate "public" are going. They do a GREAT job with groups - if you look at their website, they have various menus and options for whatever group event you have going on, broken into "school dinner", "bridal/baby shower", "funeral", etc. And various offerings under each of those categories. They just make it easy for you to plan something. With my son in college not too far away, and other family in that area, I think we'll try to hit Alioto's as regular diners and check out the full menu."

Sho R. "I was there for an eight course dinner. It was a fancy dinner. Most of the people were dressed up for the event. I took a bar seat, as that was cheaper and I was alone. I was the only person having dinner in the bar seat. Every course starts with chef explaining the food and the source of its ingredients. They will have a personalized menu with your name printed on it. I didn't go for wine pairing. I think that would have been fun. Dinner started with Canapes, which was 4 miniscule items. If anything it made me hungrier. Tipi farmed compressed cucumber was the next course. It was a veggie course close enough to salad (not salad though). J&S farmed purple and green asparagus was the next course. It was flavorful asparagus with some shell fish. They also gave fancy towel to wipe hands after this dish. There was a blindfold course, which was to taste 4 ingredients blind folded to appreciate its flavor without using visual sense. Right after that, a salad made with that 4 ingredients will be served. Spring green ramp risotto was a heavier course. This also happened to be my least favorite course. Something in the flavor combination was off for me. Before getting into the next course there was a 20 minute break. One can explore their wines, cocktails etc and can buy any. It was the time to stretch legs.Braised generations wagyu chuck eye can be treated as the entree. Though it is small to stand alone as an entree. There was a cheese course that followed with 4 good Wisconins cheeses. Finally there is the dessert course which was ice cream and stuff. The dinner took slightly above 3 hours. Because the 8 courses were spread across 3 hours I felt the food was adequate. Some people were taking boxes though."

Steven T. "Anyone who follows me knows that I don't give out 5 stars very often because that is truly reserved for an awesome experience but today I'm letting one out. My first visit to this new to me restaurant/bar had some issues with my takeout order, it was all messed up to be honest so I called to let them know. Well the woman who made my order realized it just as I left and couldn't correct it so when I called she said that she took full responsibility and would correct it the next time that I was in the area.Today I was in the area and the bartender and her remembered my situation and I gave them the benefit of the doubt in my first review because they seemed genuine in correcting the mess up and they did correct it as promised. The woman asked if I had frys with my first burger and I didn't lie and told her no because I was not looking for any extra free items and she said that she would throw in a potato of my chocolate so I said sure.Today's order would be the bacon cheeseburger rare with the works and mayo. I love how they pack the takeout with some thought and place the food in separate areas like the frys in one, the basic bacon cheeseburger by it self wrapped and the cold fresh toppings wrapped separately so when you assemble this bacon cheeseburger it's not all mushy from the drive home. The works is lettuce, pickles, red onions and tomato's with mayo which is just how I like my cheeseburger topped. The frys were my favorite, battered frys that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside seasoned perfectly, I'm sorry health nuts because frys need to be seasoned to be enjoyed. The bacon cheeseburger was cooked rare with a decent amount of bacon, thank you. When fully assembled with the thick cut fresh toppings it's an un hinge your jaw big burger to eat. The bacon cheeseburger was good and exactly what I wanted to fill my crave.Overall they honored their word and corrected my first experience and then some because sometimes I want a beer after work and take a burger home for dinner. Thank you once again and I enjoyed the perfect cooked bacon cheeseburger."

On weekends, they're open for brunch (buffet style $12, I question the wisdom of a buffet right now but maybe that's what folks want) til 1, but you can order off the regular breakfast/lunch menu. We opted for the regular menu. I had the German omelette ($10? - brats, Swiss, onions) and the Mister had the double brat, Sheboygan style ($7). Sides are extra so he opted for a side of curds for $4. Have you ever had a brat omelette? If you haven't, you're missing out! It was really, really good and Al isn't shy on size, I swear there were two whole brats in there! It came with about a pound of hash browns as well. I still maintain that Al's is one of the friendliest places out there - I wish I'd seen more masks, but hey, it's Sheboygan. We were seated promptly to a table overlooking the beautiful lake Nagawicka view. Georgeous. Also the entire setting of The Commodore and interior look to be a complete overhaul from what was here before, and they did fantastically, great ambiance, classy but not stuffy. We were served complementary bubbly for an anniversary toast, which we greatly appreciated. I ordered the Commodore's Cup drink, it was ok, a bit too sweet perhaps. We started with the Sea Scallops app and it was quite tasty, two decent sized scallops, grilled with a nice sauce. Some time had gone by and seeing that others had received bread, and we were hungry, I asked one of our three servers (taller fellow, Brandon?) about bread and was dismissed with a curt "yeah yeah" before he quickly turned and walked away. After quite some time had passed and no bread appeared, I asked another server about bread and he politely explained that the bread was coming out of the oven and would be served shortly. Not sure why I needed to get "yeah yeah"d and walked away from by Brandon, that was one of the few off notes of service all night.I had a glass of Pinot Noir and it was nice.We each ordered a fillet and had sides of carrots and scalloped potatoes. The carrots and potatoes came out first as the server explained that one of the steaks came out with two doneness markers and the chefs needed to look into this. It did take maybe 5-10 minutes for our steaks to come out then, while our sides were sitting there cooling, with no plates... Another service glitch... The food was delicious however. The sides were both tasty and the steaks very flavorful and cooked right. So... stunning location and venue... tasty food... generally very good service but some glitches... a bit expensive. A few service consistency things to work on for Bartolottas especially given the price they are commanding. Hopeful this place continues to work on service and becomes an all around standout in lake country."

The place is a big space with a big bar, dining rooms and an outdoor patio. The place is nothing fancy but it is a nice place and not a dive.My buddy got me into Gin not long ago and how could I have never got into Gin before so I wanted a Gin Rickey because they are refreshing so I ordered one. The bartender had this blank look on her face and asked me what did I ask for and she had never heard of the drink so I tell her it's gin, carbonated water and half a lime juice. She brings my drink over and says they are out of limes so my Gin Rickey looks pathetic and I must have got commercial lime juice which was not like the real thing. How the F does a bar not have limes to make cocktails is beyond me.I ordered the 6 jumbo wings tossed in Franks hot sauce which comes with ranch or blue cheese the menu states but I was given ranch and never asked what I wanted. The wings looked good with some celery but only two wings were jumbo and four were regular which was odd, see my pictures. The wings were on the dry side and a little tough like frozen but they were just OK and they were all drummys which was odd again because you usually get a mix of sections. The celery twigs were fresh and crisp while the ranch sauce was completely average lacking that big tang of a really good ranch.Overall my drink and food was completely average but it's a nice place filled with locals and noisy for how few people were at the bar, maybe 10 at the most."
