"Being my first Milwaukee layover in a few years I was eager to try Lazo's because of everyone raving about the birria tacos.I will say this, the moment I took a bite of the chips and salsa, I knew the food would be good. A good chips and salsa is a strong indication anywhere of things to come. The birria tacos did not disappoint. The meat was tender, juicy and had soul in it and paired with the consommé it was phenomenal. All in all the food hit the spot.Service was also excellent and the server with the glasses was very attentive.I look forward to coming back on my next Milwaukee layover!"
"What a great space! Despite its size, it's often quite busy, but in summer, the outdoor space adds a lot of real estate. It's a very family-friendly spot, with regular and "high-top" high chairs. There's often live music. Food is great, including rotating specials. We especially like the Notorious PIG and Tony Pepperoni pizzas; the fries are perfect for sharing. We really enjoy their wide variety of beer too, and they recently started carrying wine. The only issue we've had is a few SNAFUs with the QR code ordering system, but the staff is quick to help with any problems."

"I stopped by while in town celebrating my birthday solo; I was feeling a bit lonely but thought it might be weird to ask for attention while out on my own, so I wasn't going to say anything. The extremely welcoming and kind server chatted with me and made recommendations; I had a huge, delicious sandwich and greens with the best strawberry vinaigrette I've ever had. I felt comfortable enough to mention why I was there, and he brought me a slice of heavenly lemon curd cheesecake as a birthday treat. I stopped feeling lame and just enjoyed being celebrated. I so appreciated the kind reception and will happily visit this spot again next time I'm in Madison!"
"I have wanted to try Paloma for a while now, and finally got the chance to stop in! For a weekday night, it was busy! We waited about 20 minutes for a seat at the bar area, but we did get served drinks while we waited. We got their margarita to start while we waited. The staff was all very friendly and attentive and the inside is well decorated and welcoming. Though, when it is colder out, I do wish the waiting area was a little bigger. After getting seated at the bar we ordered chips, salsa, and queso and they were gone in a blink of an eye. We also ordered the house infusion margarita, pineapple jalapeno, yum! It was the perfect spicy margarita and paired well with our entrees. We enjoyed the Paloma Taco Pocket, Spicy Chicken Taco, and the Gringo All the Way! Taco. The flavors were amazing and we will definitely be back for more!"
"Came on a Saturday afternoon, not very busy, service was fast and friendly and the food was great! I wanted to try each of the tacos so did the keto taco, the hard taco, the quesitaco and the red taco, two chicken and two beef...and they were all terrific, hard to tell which one I liked best, maybe the quesitaco. My friend got the birria plate and that might be worth trying next time, he lived it and it was a ton of food. Will definitely be back, sad I don't live closer."
"Great local place, friendly staff, but service at the bar has gone downhill since Chanda departed. By that I mean slightly less efficient. Received my drink promptly, but after 20 minutes, I called in my order while sitting at the bar. Don't get me wrong, we love this place & the staff. We understand that it's difficult to find and retain staff as well as determine staffing levels on any given night. Lots of new faces today."
"I visited on a busy Sunday during an event. I ordered a steak burrito with avocado. The wait was 10 min or less. The burrito was hot, flavorful, and large."
"So happy we dropped in for a date night. Mi Casa Su Cafe is such a welcoming place. My spouse and I ordered the shrimp and grits 2 for 1 special on Tuesdays and it was delicious. We moved to MKE from down south a bit over 2 years ago, and finding anything comparable was a reach. Do yourself a favor, skip the trendy spot downtown that is apparently known for their shrimp and grits, and drop in to Mi Casa for some grits that are creamy and seasoned to perfection. Eating here felt like walking into your favorite relatives house. Shoutout to staff for making us feel like regulars. So happy y'all are nearby. We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes."
"As a vegetarian, I appreciate when restaurants have intentional options on their menu. Their vegan tacos include peppers, onion, corn, and cauliflower. Sprinkle on some cheese and boom, vegetarian tacos.I did the 3 tacos and 1 side deal with a container of their Diablo sauce - flavorful with some heat! I wouldn't say it was too much to handle. In my discussion with some of the staff about spicy options, they suggested I try their signature Mango Margarita which, I think the red sauce was a hot sauce of some sort. I remember it definitely had a kick to it.Prior to this visit, I had driven by several times, seeing a long line out the door a few times. Usually a good sign that there's something to check out. Glad I was able to stop by and try them out myself."
"Great place. We've been going here for a while, and they have only gotten better with age. Great service too! The fries and onion straws are great, which seems to be harder and harder to find, nowadays. Lots of cool Chicago memorabilia to check out while waiting for your food too. :)"
"I spent a day in Beloit for work and was unfortunately in Zoom meetings that overlapped with my lunchtime. I quickly took a look at what food I could order for delivery, and being pretty unfamiliar with the area chose Tacos Neno despite not having heard of it before. I knew I was taking a risk and even told my coworkers that my lunch was either going to be a bust or be amazing and worth the risk. Lucky for me, it was the latter! With about two minutes to review the menu, I chose to get 3 tacos al pastor and a side of rice and beans. My delivery through Uber Eats was super quick and the food was nice and warm. The tacos.... After my first bite I had to let my coworkers on Zoom know that the lunch order had been a success! The squeeze of lime was the perfect addition to the meaty tacos. I didn't have room for the rice and beans then but took it home and enjoyed it later! I would absolutely order from Tacos Neno and in fact would seek it out as quality tacos can be elusive!"
"We found this place off the beaten track thanks to a sign on the highway. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked inside. They were perfectly happy to have us sit at the bar while we ordered takeout. The woman behind the bar was very friendly and confirmed that our choices were good: pollo en mole poblano (chicken with mole sauce) and lomo de puerco en salsa verde y nopales (pork loin in green sauce with cactus). The TV at the bar had on a show dubbed in Spanish, which was interesting to watch while we waited for our food. The food was entirely worth the wait! I've had pork with nopales elsewhere, but when I had it here I immediately understood what the other restaurants were trying to do. The pork was thin, but well seasoned and still juicy. The sauce was spicy and brought out fruitiness in the pickled nopales. The mole was also very good. The chicken was falling off the bone, and the rich flavors of chocolate and spices shone through. And the handmade tortillas were piping hot inside the neatly folded foil. I am telling everyone I know who drives between the Twin Cities and Chicago about this place. It's a gem, and I'm so glad we went!"

Menu: ****Service: *****Ambiance: ****Value: *****4.5 stars if possible. First visit here, stopped in for lunch. Not real busy and we were seated immediately. Nice menu with plenty of options ala carte or full meals, small bar at the back of the restaurant, limited seating so be prepared if it is a nice day and time of day I would assume. They came with chips and salsa that had a bit of a kick.Price was very reasonable. The combo dinner included taco, tostada and enchilada (steak, ground beef or chicken) I got steak. Only disappointment was you could only get one choice of beef for all three. Rice and refried beans with the dinner plate. Price, $13.99 very reasonable for downtown. We did not try their margs, but they looked good.Overall, very good and we would come back for sure. Worth the try and visit.

I came here on a Thursday night by myself. although busy, I found a table. You seat yourself and scan a QR for the menu. You order through this and they bring it to you. I had a pretzel that was rapt l great. I wasn't a huge fan of the beer but really liked the fun Dunkel. It was a fun atmosphere.

After trying to figure out a place to make reservations, we gave a call to Bear and Bottle. The three other places were "no reservations" or didn't answer their phone at all. So when he answered and was all warm and friendly it started the experience of right - we really appreciated being appreciated. We consider this a neighborhood place in that it is the exact middle distance to our friends. We hadn't been there in awhile and we found it delightful and the food even more interesting. We sat outside and forgave the road noise which wasn't too terrible. The service was wonderful. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had two meals from the leftovers. We didn't land on a "favorite cocktail" yet. Appreciated the NA beer selections.I haven't written a review in awhile but was motivated to give a shout out to this relaxed and friendly restaurant that we will visit more often.

I've been to Paloma several times now and it has never disappointed me. The only downside I've found is that Paloma is extremely popular and busy and seating is limited so there is often a wait to get a table or counter space. The servers are all quite friendly and efficient. The owner is extremely nice and very hands on.The food is excellent. I particularly love the tuna tostadas, but there are great options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The corn and avocado quesadilla is amazing and can feed a group.Drinks are interesting and excellent.Everything is just great at this little gem.

We came here to do a restaurant review so I ordered a few things. Initially I was confused on if I ordered inside or at the truck, but we were informed that we would order at the kiosks inside and they pick up at the window. At least during my time there, there is no table service. We sat outside where a lovely cat stared at me until I was done eating. LOL. I tried a red taco, an empanada, the quesitaco and the keto taco. The questitaco was my favorite with the melted cheese at the bottom of the tortilla. The beef and chicken are both pretty solid and I really enjoyed the salsa. You can get consumme on the side for an extra charge, but the meat held a lot of liquid so you probably don't need it.If I am back in the area and craving a taco, I won't hesitate to come back.

Came in early (about 5pm) on a Saturday for dinner and it was not very busy. Our server was very friendly and recommended the mushroom onion burger to me (it was delicious). Prices were reasonable and the food was all very good. We will be back.

Taco trucks are a great option in the era of socially-distanced dining, and Mazorca Tacos (located in the Zocalo Food Park) is a solid choice for reasonably priced street tacos. Our first attempts using the online system failed due to the max capacity of orders being reached at that time, but we were eventually able to sample the al pastor, birria, and bistec tacos as well as the chips and guac. The al pastor taco was definitely our favorite with flavorful moist pork topped with avocado cilantro salsa and onions. The birria and bistec tacos were less impressive as the beef seemed a bit drier. Keep in mind that the tacos are small (my husband needed at least 4 to have a satisfying meal) so order accordingly!

Great experience - Ordered the catfish sandwich which was well seasoned, piping hot and included better than average fries. Also ordered the Jerk Chicken Burrito with the upgraded garlic parmesan fries. The burrito was huge, seasoned wonderfully and had savory jerk sauce. Everything was served hot and fresh. Very good eats. We peaked through the pass thru to see the lounge. Looks like a great spot to a spirit and music during the cocktail hour. This restaurant and space is a secret gem overall.

"The last time I went there I realized that I asked for no onion on my Gyros, just tomatoes. When I got my food that's all I had were tomatoes, no sauce. lolI understand the confusion, So I tried them again. Food was good, counter person was nice- busy too!"
"I thought this place was just okay. The varieties of the homemade salsas are delicious, and the variety of tacos impressive. I like that you can order them as tostadas if you prefer. The brussel sprout one was yummy as was the other carne asada one I ordered. I wish the drinks were better. Considering they are called "Paloma," I thought the drink would be amazing but it was only average, if that. The homemade chips are surprisingly light considering how dense they appear, but it's very hard to get enough salsa or guac on them bc of the bowls they use. I would probably choose a more authentic Mexican place over this one when it comes to tacos - but still, a nice option. It's very loud in the restaurant bc of the acoustics, it would appear, although bright and cheery. It proved a pretty decent spot for a bday celebration even if maybe we couldn't hear each other the entire time ;)"
"McCocos is a well decorated, instagram worthy restaurant with decent food. The vibe and aesthetics as soon as you walk in make for a fun vibe! I went with a group of 6 and called for a reservation earlier in the day. We were sat within ten minutes of arrival which was great since they were very busy on a Friday night! Drink menu is extensive- all drinks sweet. After sitting, we did wait quite awhile for someone to take our order ~20 minutes. Once our order was taken, it was quite a bit before we received our drinks. The ambiance didn't make this a huge deal but I can see if someone wanted a quick dinner where it would run into issues. We placed our food order and we're told that the kitchen was backed up. We appreciated them being upfront and honestly the food wait wasn't that long considering the warning ~30 minutes. I ordered the churrasco with tostones. Fabulous flavor but overcooked. Overall, I am looking forward to trying this again, but the wait times and service issues were evident. I truly think they are just understaffed. All in all, we were there for over two hours and received two drinks and our meals. I will be back to give them a second try, maybe on not such a busy night."
"Mangos is it's own vibe and it can change depending on when you're in but I've always had a good experience here. The staff are friendly and are good about getting your orders right. I've had tacos a couple of times and they've always been decent. Milwaukee has a lot of taco spots so there's a lot to compare to. We did their bottomless mimosa brunch a few weekends ago and the bartender was as attentive towards the end when it was packed as when we started and it was empty. They have a dj that comes in for the brunch and a nice brunch menu!"
"Been there twice now. Food is amazing!!! Never disappoints. The fried pickles are the best appetizers. I've had there salads, burgers and now wraps. Services was also super fast and the servers are super friendly and helpful."
"I've had this for lunch at work and this taco truck is probably the best Mexican street food that I've had in Milwaukee. My favorite are the frijoles ATM, they definitely hit the spot. Specially in the cold. I've also had their tacos and their torta al pastor, another star in the menu. This taco truck offers great food and they are open year-round, which is highly appreciated.Best taco truck ever!"
"I was craving tacos and while there are many many places here, I was recommended this place by a friend. I am reviewing as someone who does not eat a lot of Mexican food/unfamiliar with prices BUT I do know if I enjoy the food or not. Service felt fine and our server was nice and attentive. I don't expect much from small local shops. We ordered 4 tacos (2 lengua and 2 carne asada) and then the El toro special plate. Everything was great! Compared to places I would normally go to, I felt like the prices were fair. 4 tacos were about $12."
"An all-around great experience. Chips tasted freshly fried, salsa was fresh. Service was fast, ambiance was nothing that'll blow you away, but the food is what we're all really here for.We ordered enchiladas de mole con pollo and a huarache campechana. I keep retrying mole over and over again, and finally, here at Cocina Mi Familia, is where I felt like, yes, I get it - it's complex, hits sweet, then cinnamon-y, and then you get hits of the chicken and it is simply *chef's kiss*. The huarache? Also all around savory: the meats were tender, bursting with spice, and was remarkably filling (we took some home, too). Our waitress was lovely, you pay at the counter, and I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Mexican food just passing through Sheboygan. Give it a try, they seem to be beloved by locals and a takeout-favorite."
"1000% recommend MJ's. Amazing service. Amazing food. The two girls were so wonderful and helpful!! You do not see this kind of customer service anymore."
"I was here 2 months ago. I'm sorry I forgot the names of the food I ordered. This is a new restaurant in the area and is very authentic. I met the owner and he is super nice. His son was taking orders at the counter. He did forget my tamale which I noticed after I got to where we were staying. I went back and he offered me a free soda when I picked up my tamale. Check your bag to make sure it's all there. They have a few tables inside. No outdoor dining. It is decorated very attractively. I highly recommend you try this place."
"Stopped by after work for some quick dinner. I ordered tacos, pazole soup, and a fried fish meal. The food was really yummy. The fried fish was so crispy and well seasoned. The server suggested I try the fish. The server was nice enough to explain the menu. The pazole soup comes in a big portion, it was enough to share with my family. Everyone got a bowl. The restaurant had a small entrance but it is massive on the inside of the restaurant. Definitely would go again, but I would call and order ahead of time because they can get busy."
"Tried Romeros Taco Truck at my company's food truck day and Boy! did they blow my socks off with their food flavors and delicious ingredients. I got the slow cooked beef Birria with elote (corn in a cup with crumbled cheese) and a refreshing Horchata. This West Allis food truck deserve your love, so go treat yoself at Romeros food truck"
"Taco Parado has a very simple menu , friendly staff..parking can be a challenge. Shares a building with a small grocery storeI had a spicy ground beef burrito - was very spicy, but not overpowering. Cash only here. $10 for a meal."
"We visited Las Cazuelas on a Friday evening. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chimichangas appetizers was my favorite. The chimichanga itself was super crisp and flakey and it's filled with cheese and the meat of your choice. I already want to come back and reorder them. I also got 3 tacos ala carte. The tacos also were good and the meat had great flavor. My fiance ordered a steak burrito and after having a bite I also want to come back and order that as well. It was super creamy with the queso and crema. Good portions and fairly priced. There's a lot of tvs through the restaurant with The Bucks playing, so if you're trying to find a place to watch a game this could be it. I didn't order a drink but the bar looked well stocked and the drink menu was intriguing. The waitstaff were all super friendly. We will definitely be back."
"New lunch restaurant I. The car wash and gas station at 176 & Bradley. Super fresh tacos. I came for lunch two days in a row. They have Mexican style tacos with onion cilantro or American style with lettuce and tomatoes. The house special Barbacoa is top notch."
"We had steak arranchera and a Central American "quesadilla" of sorts but much better! The steak and eggs was good. But the dish with crispy masa and raw cabbage topped with a light, sweet tomato sauce - that was a wonderful surprise. It was the waitress' first day of work and it looks like the owners are still setting up the restaurant. New paint, new video/game equipment, it's just getting started. I hope they make a go of it. Nice people, friendly, interesting menu. Prices everywhere have gone up so it's not a cheap eats kind of place but it's tough out there for small businesses, please give them a chance. We had a nice meal and the service was good. I hope this place makes a go of it - best wishes to the owners and staff!"
"Located in "The Drive-Thru" on North Ave, this little spot offers great Mexican food truck cuisine. You order at the window of the building (or online) and they cook your meal in the food truck. I like to walk my dog down for their $3 taco Tuesday deal. I love that they offer an expansive birria menu: tacos, enchiladas, even ramen. Everything is ala carte with the options to upgrade to "supreme" with lettuce/ tomato/ sour cream and add rice and beans. Parking can be tight but there is no seating area so you can always order online then pull up to the lot and quickly grab your things. Service staff is always sweet and efficient. It's usually five minutes for my three birria tacos :)"
"I stopped by this place on a Sunday noon. The place was empty at that time. Inside the place had nice vibes. There were a lot of toys. This is a good place to go with kids. I had a mini pancake and thought it was good. Horchata was ok. They also have CedarCrest ice cream."
