Cory D. "Went for a fish fry and enjoyed the old school "Wisconsin Supper Club" vibe. Only complaint about the location/layout is the lack of parking but that really out of the owner's control. We had a short wait but they were very busy and we were at our table in a very short time. Our waitress was very kind and was very attentive. I had the bluegill fish fry and my girlfriend had the cod fish fry and both meals were very good and included good portions. I had the "loaded potato pancakes" and would highly recommend them. Also ordered a Brandy old fashioned and the drink was very tasty as well. Would definitely return."

James N. "Very friendly service. Came in just a little before closing on a Sunday night and they were warm and welcoming. Ordered the ribeye steak and it was good, well seasoned, juicy. Came with a salad bar which was decent. Prices are a little higher than some of the other supper clubs but still decent, and they were open later on a Sunday than most places and I am glad we stopped by."

George W. "22 hour slow roasted Prime Rib - Daily.Repeating - 22 hour S L O W roasted PRIME RIB - DAILY.My wife found this place on our way back from skiing on a cold January day in 2025. We try to find nice places near the expressway (I90/I39) on our route back down to Illinois. This is located on the main street in downtown Milton, Wisconsin. It's a building which dates to the late 1800s.The interior is dark, with wall hangings and dividers - the center divider is literally there to support the roof as the span is so wide. We walked in and were seated promptly, and served with a basket of bread and their maple and cinnamon butter spread. My wife ordered their surf & turf special, which was comprised of a 10 ounce Prime Rib cut with three crab-stuffed shrimp, while I had their King Cut 14 ounce Prime Rib and a baked potato. The dinners came with salad, which was a nice spring mix - see the picture.I was going to order the filet, but the 22 hour slow roasted Prime Rib was too good to pass up.Service was solid, the wine list was very good with several good titles and low corkage contrasted with other steak houses. We even got to meet one of the owners, and learn a little about the work he had done. Recent updates included a new ceiling, and renovation of both bathrooms.Honestly, this place has a lot going for it for a short trip off the expressway. Make plans to go to Milton and try out the Prime Rib."

Anthony K. "I've had the pleasure of eating here a couple times recently. First time I got the Buenos Nachos, a huge platter of nachos with seasoned beef, cheese, salsa, and jalapeños. This plate was big enough for like 5 people and it was pretty good!Next time, I had the all-you-can eat beer battered cod. The meal came with 3 decent size chunks of fish, cooked perfectly so the batter was a little crispy, plenty of tasty fries, one little potato pancake, and some applesauce and coleslaw on the side. And, to top it off, the tartar sauce was great, also.Great little hidden gem if you are staying at the Ingleside. Check it out!"

Sandy S. "Giving three stars because half of the food was good and the other half was not. First, drinks were good except from one bartender who admitted she didn't like the taste of booze. So you are a bartender? The couple we were with were pleased with their meal. They had the sirloin and salmon. My husband and I had the prime rib and ribs. Ribs were literally BURNT! Clearly they were warmed up. Little sauce. Upset I did not send them back. My husbands prime rib came out well done and he ordered medium rare. We did send it back but only got medium and not medium rare. He even asked if there was any medium rare left before he ordered and he was told yes. I personally would give it two stars because of our meal but gave it three because our friends did enjoy their meal. Prices are high and no sandwich options. If things don't change, I do not see them surviving long."

Steven T. "I'm seriously torn on this review because their website says voted best fish fry and they get so much right and so much completely wrong compared to other local fish frys like no options/flexibility and this what you get because we're a machine for the last 65 years. It's a dated and run down restaurant with a long bar that shows it's age but it seems very popular on a Friday night. It's so generic with a wide open cafeteria set up that people flock to and definitely not a date night place but more of a comfort food place if the first impression is long gone and you want a cocktail and a Friday fish fry.I ordered a brandy old fashioned sour and I asked to order a fish fry to go and I was told to go to the cash register at the end of the bar to order take out. I order the fish fry and it is how it comes because they don't offer any choices to you like potato and you wait to hear your number called out. When I got to my car I opened the container and it looked funny because instead of the rye bread it was a dinner roll with no butter and the coleslaw was barely half filled in the container. I sampled a couple frys before I got home while they were still fresh and they were room temperature and soggy, not greasy soggy but laying around soggy where the fresh crisp was long gone. The frys were seasoned nicely and if fresh probably would be pretty dam good. The tarter sauce was small for 4 pieces of fish but very good with a great tart flavor. The dinner roll was dense with no butter and completely wrong because rye bread is a fish Fry. The coleslaw was good with a radish hint that reminded of the pickled ginger in sushi but very skimpy because it was barely half full. The fried fish looked pathetic with a damaged/cracked fish like it was man handled which I think is a first in my fish fry. The fish was good and seasoned nicely with nice flakey meat but noticeably dry compared to other fish frys.Overall I have tried the 4 fish fish frys in the Hales Coroners area and Clifford's was my least liked and my favorite down the street from them still sits on the throne so they are safe. There web site says award winning fish fry but my fish fry was somewhat disappointing because it seemed mass cooked and laying around to fill orders and not cooked to order fresh, just a generic mass cooked meal."

Amy S. "Really glad to have this new addition to the neighborhood. Made a reservation online since it was Friday night. I haven't been in this location since it was Jerry's so I can't speak to any updates they might've done to the building. We arrived 10 minutes early but the hostess seated us right away. We sat inside, they also offer seating on an outside deck in back. The candlelit tables were warm and cozy, we both felt so at ease and relaxed sitting down. The relish buffet looked kind of cool so we both started with that, it was a nice array of breadsticks, pickles, olives, veggies, deviled eggs, etc. Our drinks were also served with a warm fresh loaf of bread. By the time we got our salad and soup I was already starting to feel full. All entrees come with a side salad or beer cheese soup with the option to upgrade to French onion. My husband got the French onion and I had the salad, pretty basic garden salad, I'll probably opt for the beer cheese soup next time just to try it. Our dinners were just fantastic! I ordered the Ny Strip with baked potato and my husband had the California Crab Cake. Honestly, this was the largest crab cake I've ever seen, extra thick and plated on a beautiful bed of risotto and garnished with beer battered asparagus. Everything was just so excellent and the service was superb. My steak was also buttery and delicious, cooked perfectly too. When we got our bill, we were a little surprised to see a manager discount taken off our meal. We asked the waiter and he explained all their steaks are cut in house and mine was slightly smaller than 12 oz so they took some money off! I hadn't even noticed, but it goes to show you that this place is definitely run with integrity. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! Cheers!"

Malia Y. "Lots of parking in the back area. Loved the vibes and the patio area was perfect for summer. I was kind of surprised the reviews aren't that great. We started off with the burrata. Light but tasty appetizer to start off with. My boyfriend got the burger that came with fries. Loved the fries! Super crunch, perfectly salted. Very large portions. I opted for the salmon. The brussel sprouts were plain by themselves but this dish with the bacon bits and salmon made it a perfect bite every time. I loved the lobster cream on the bottom. As far as service was, we liked our waiter. She was attentive. We thought it was a bit slow. It did get annoying at some point eating out on the patio because of the bugs. I would either recommend they put out some citronella or those bug zappers for people to enjoy the outdoor dining experience.Overall, I'd return!"

Ophelia M. "Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club is quintessentially Wisconsin and still--so amazing. It's the perfect blend of regional cuisine, north woods inspired decor, and a comfortable coziness that puts this diner immediately at ease. I stopped by most recently for a date night. I ordered the meat raffle Manhattan because it's one of the better Manhattans to be had in the Milwaukee metro, in my humble Manhattan swilling opinion. It's just the right blend of vermouth and local bourbon--plus they don't over do it with bitters. And, hey... the meat stick garnish is an interesting (and tasty!) touch. For our starter, did we order the deviled eggs?We sure did. They have the best deviled eggs on the menu that vary and are never quite the same as the last time you ordered them and yet always equally delicious. For my main, I got the wild mushroom stroganoff. It was my first time ordering this dish and will by no means be my last. It was the perfect blend of savory mushrooms, a creamy sour cream based sauce, noodles, and a slight crispiness from a sprinkling of panko--it was a delight. We decided to take a couple of pieces of cake to take home to enjoy while watching an episode of the Great British Baking Show. Because, that show is just better if you have your own sweetness to enjoy while watching them bake theirs. And, thankfully, Buckatabon served us dessert that tasted every bit as good as anything on the show looked.Get to it!"

K. A. "The food was fantastic, portions were amazing, and I'm always a sucker for cheese and crackers at the salad bar LOL! We got the pick 2 for $42 and ended up with the blue gill and ribeye. Incredibly flavorful, fish were crispy, steak was cooked to perfection, and we had leftovers of both so really we got 4 meals for $42 (please don't stop this special!). The ambiance was your typical Midwest supper club. Dimly lit, cozy feeling - and anyone complaining about it clearly isn't a supper club connoisseur .Our waitress was absolutely wonderful - very polite, kind, and generous (offering refills, extra sauces, etc. without us asking), but she did seem to forget about us toward the end of the meal. Had to flag her down for a box, and again for our bill. No big deal.My only complaint is that there is definitely a "regular" crowd that gets some extra attention, which is fine, but as newbies it wasn't particularly welcoming in the beginning (the host/hostess, bartender, etc.).Regardless, will be back."

Shane H. "One of the great traditions of northern Wisconsin German culture is the supper club. Blanck's holds a special place in my heart as I have been going here since I was able to eat solid food. I grew up a mere 3 miles from Blanck's, and my parents are still there. It's location is one of those quintessential Wisconsin towns. The church is directly across the street, the local pub is next door, and the baseball diamond is at the end of the street. The menu at Blanck's is extensive and meat-heavy. Steak, poultry, seafood and probably other things like duck, pheasant, frog, etc. This isn't 5-star dining, and it wouldn't be a supper club if it was. You go here to experience small-town hospitality and gather with family and friends. Everyone there knows everyone else, or they know your dad or your grandpa. It is a mix of young, old and elderly...my grandparents had a standing Friday night reservation for years. They do take reservations, especially if you have a large group (as is usually the case with my family), but you can just walk in. Talk to the bartender, and enjoy a drink at the bar before your table is ready. I've only been able to go here about once a year since I moved to Milwaukee, but I always look forward to it. I would recommend the experience to anyone."

They serve it on Wednesdays and Saturdays, so we stopped in on a Wednesday.I was pleasantly surprised they had a kids menu - its not online, and I was a bit worried this place would be too "fancy" to bring our kiddo. However, as soon as they grabbed the crayons I was relieved. Also, the dining room is not too stuffy or anything, definitely has small town vibes. We ended up gettingLobster roll: Pretty, but just a bit too much sauce. Big chunks of lobster on the sandwich. Tator tots / coleslaw on the side was good.Prime rib (queen cut): absolutely enormous, perfectly cooked, plenty leftover to take home.Chicken Mushroom Stroganoff: Kiddo enjoyed :)"
