"We were up by Pleasant Prairie and Milwaukee is really not that far on a day when you can drive quickly on I-94. I was initially wanting to go to St. Paul for a Lobstah roll but La Masa is a place I had never been to so the die was cast (meaning my mind was made up).I'm glad I came here because it's a nice and airy restaurant with plenty of natural light. I also like Brady street because you can go on a foodie crawl whilst you're here. The empanadas, there was definitely a Nice selection and I recommend getting twelve (12) for variety. The ones I liked the most were 1) Wisconsin corn 2) Spinach with cheese and 3) Ham and cheese. These were bursting with flavor. I was thinking of asking for more chimichurri but there's a charge of $1??Anyway, it was great coming here and there's adequate street pahking in the hood. The arcane letter markings on each empanada will lead you back to the menu for deciphering."
"We had a lovely conversation with Patrick about Limp Bizkit, death metal, among other topics. We ordered the carpaccio, octopus, banh mi, along with bread and truffle butter. The octopus was delicious, however we personally would have preferred the octopus have fewer ingredients.Truffle butter had layered flavors, outstanding. The pork belly in the banh mi was so tender and yummy, highly recommended! The art near the bathrooms was cool. Walking through he ingredient store is fun, *buy* the squid and fish tins!"

"What's not to love about Lulu Cafe (Cafe Lulu)? Funky fresh vibe, art on the walls, good service and something on the menu for everyone. I don't come here often enough. Had a great salmon salad on special, recently. the Waldorf Salad is a perennial favorite, as is a flatbread, the Faux Banh Mi. The craft beer menu is great, featuring the best of the craft Midwest! This place is good for a friend meetup because volume levels are okay for a conversation."
"My wife and I have lived in Algonquin for three years with our family of 7 but have not had the experience that is the sun shop.Today we ordered ahead via mobile order and picked up a large fry and the Al Capone sandwich. The order said it would only take ten minutes and they hit it right on the nose! The staff were friendly and engaging and very on top of orders as over twenty orders were being prepared during their lunch rush. This unassuming shop is easily passable when driving through Algonquin, but I cannot recommend it enough. The sandwich, which is their take on the traditional Italian, is the BEST Italian sub I've had in quite some time. What is crazier is the fact that their fries are even better! Whatever they season them with is the key. We'll be coming back time and time again. Only negative is their hours of operation. They aren't open as much as you'd think they should be with how successful they are."
"Perfect lunch in a wonderful environment! Wish it was near home, but will always stop here when in Sheboygan!!!"
"My mother has been coming to Captain Porky's for years and had the opportunity to join her. Scrumptious home cooking with many menu choices and daily specials. Emphasis on BBQ and Cajun, but have some wonderful alternatives. On this visit, we had lamb with Greek potatoes and milk thistle greens, along with oysters Rockefeller and cornbread; all of which was outstanding. Most impressive is the friendly owner Dino who is passionate, engaging and dispenses wisdom from his many experiences. Love the homey and welcoming atmosphere."
"Fresh, fast and really good food. Choice of Full Service or Deli Counter ordering. Food is delivered to your table even if you choose to order at the counter. My BLT Wrap was awesome and I loved the choice of fresh apples vs. Kettle Chips. My Chicken Noodle Soup was also very tasty and the cup was a generous portion. (However it was so good I wish I would have orders a bowl!)"
"This place never disappoints, the best sandwiches in the area. The ingredients are always fresh and meats top class. Both the cold and grinders choices exceptional. Always greeted by staff with a friendly hello, kudos their attention to detail while making your sandwich shows. It's as you get the prefect sandwich as though you made it yourself (adding more or less vegetables and condiments) . Your first bite into the sandwich matches exactly what you expected it to taste like. Also the potato salad is very good too. Place is clean tables available. Great alternative to fast food hamburgers and chicken."
"JUST THE TWO OF USA peaceful, delicious Sunday breakfast with my wife egg-ceeded both of our wildest egg-spectations.After spending the night in Rockford, we sought out a place nearby to grab a bite to eat before heading home. Eggclusive Cafe was the area's top result with a more-than-solid 4.2* rating on Yelp and a 4.5* on Tripadvisor. We asked for seating on their private outdoor patio, and they obliged. My better half loved her lavender vanilla cold brew ($6) and later on, the strawberry-orange mimosa ($8). Their bloody mary ($9) was spicy enough for my liking, and it came with a skewer of pickle/celery/olive/lemon. They also have screwdrivers and morning mules, so all of the boozy A.M. bases are covered. In an interesting turn of events, we flip-flopped orders. I've been a skillet guy my whole life, yet she was the one who couldn't resist the Mexicana skillet ($17): two eggs, chorizo, onion, jalapenos, cheese, sour cream, guac and salsa served over seasoned potatoes with tortillas. It got rave reviews, especially the potatoes (which she described as "magic").I rarely order a combo (sweet item + eggs + meat) but on this morning I opted for the Cinna-bomb French toast combo ($15), and boy was I glad I did. The cinnamon swirl bread came with an incredible homemade cinnamon butter which gave the whole thing a VERY Cinnabon-esque flavor. It was nothing short of fantastic. They asked if I wanted my bacon 'regular' or 'crispy', which is the first time I've ever been prompted for my bacon preference. And let's not forget their initials 'EC' stenciled out in powdered sugar on the pancakes and French toast (a masterfully classy touch).Bread = 5Circuses = 5Service was great and the ambiance on their outdoor patio felt distinctly Mediterranean. To maintain the chill vibes, they have posted rules like what you'd see at a pool (no vaping, no running, no pets, etc). The stipulation that one "must order an alcoholic beverage" was a bit strange, though I imagine that's to discourage people from just ordering a coffee and sitting there. After much thought, I honestly do feel that the "no kids" policy on their patio is a good call. As a dad to a 2yr old toddler, quiet breakfasts at home have become a thing of the past.... being able to enjoy a relaxing, uninterrupted meal without screaming, dealing with flying bits of food, or hearing incessant kids tunes in the background was wonderful. I cannot overstate how enjoyable our breakfast was.* TL;DR *From start to finish, dining here was a most egg-cellent choice.Without knowing the area too much, I would say this is the best place around Rockford to eat before noon. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere delightful, and the company simply ravishing (love you, honey!)Twenty million stars for Eggclusive Cafe. Would recommend to complete strangers on the street."
"I would probably go 3.5 but I'll round up, had easy online ordering and friendly service upon pickup. I ordered the egg white healthy omelette and subbed chicken sausage for mushrooms (for an up charge) with potatoes and a biscuit. The omelette was HUGE so great portion for the price. On par for what I expected. The potatoes were mostly nice and crispy, super tasty but really oily so I did blot them a bit with a napkin. The biscuit fell short, it was kinda dry and gummy, the jam helped but wouldn't get one again.Overall, for the price I felt it was worth it. Just would swap maybe try a different carb next time."
"Everything has been nothing short of amazing from here!! The pomodoro sauce is delicious, as is the bolognese! The lasagna is TOP TIER. Their butternut squash ravioli is fantastic too! Don't miss out on their bakery either! Phenomenal!"
"I love wings so my friend decided to take me here. A simple menu, with a simple wing. No extra flavors, no extra seasonings-- you get the OG of wings and it's done perfectly! There is a ton of seating, TVs to watch whatever sport you're into and a nice bar in the back with all sorts of beverages for you to choose from. The drinks are affordable and strong, and the wings were cooked to perfection. This spot was delicious. I've been thinking about the wings ever since I had it. The staff was super friendly and this is a must stop for me whenever I'm in Cream City!"

This was genuinely a treat of a meal and experience. When you walk in, you are welcome by a storefront selling wines, spices. and kitchen supplies. The environment of the place is bustling with the open kitchen concept operating right next to the seating area. We started with the beef tartare which was presented beautifully. The bread was warm and toasty complementing the beef which was fresh, firmly textured and mixed with the capers. The Lion's Mane Mushroom Schnitzel was also a highlight, nicely fried, topped with the tomato jam, ricotta, and brown butter balsamic. The combo of it all was special. We ordered the Seared Scallops and Duck Breast for our 2 entrees. Scallops were well seared and uniform in shape with the gnocchi, but the dish overall was a bit too rich and one dimensional with the cream sauce. The duck on the other hand might be the best thing I've ever had. The juicy duck laying on top of the soubise was intensely flavorful. *Do not skip out on this dish.*

This spot is quickly becoming my favorite place to grab lunch in town. The servers are lovely, easy to pop in during the week and sit down right away. To-go orders are great too! Everything I've tried has been awesome. My top 2 items that I order every time are the potato chips and the Asian slaw. I've been sticking with the pita sandwiches for my main bc they're so great for lunch - East Indian, falafel, and the veggie are top tier. Eat here!

Captain Porky's does not disappoint! It has become a "go to" spot when we are going to/from Chicago. My most recent visit was on a Sunday afternoon. Service was fast and friendly. There were a few other occupied tables, but it was relatively quite. The brisket sandwich was so, so good and I highly recommend! Portion sizes are perfect and as I previously stated, I feel it is reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food received.I like that you can just stop by during a road trip and it is a consistently great experience. It's so easy to order from the counter, sometimes they call your number and you have to pick up from the counter and sometimes they bring it out to you. It is informal (that's worth a star in my book!), so do not expect to be waited on.The entire space has always been clean during my visits. Bathrooms are also well maintained! I wish there was a Captain Porky's closer to Milwaukee - I would order all the time :)

We're rarely in this area, but happened to be over the weekend and my husband noted that Ally's is a great spot. We decided to give it a go for Saturday lunch. He wasn't wrong, it's nice here! Not just your average deli. The restaurant is well-kept, the atmosphere is calm and enjoyable, and the food is quality. Plys, I'm a fan of order-from-the-counter casual spots. They were quick to take our order and equally as fast to bring out the food.I was starving and very excited to tuck into a big sammie, which is just what I got with the Dilled Chicken Salad Sandwich. It had a really great flavor and wasn't too mayo-y like some chicken salads tend to be. Also the rye bread was so squishy and delicious. It seemed fresh baked. My husband really enjoyed his Chicken Capri sandwich as well, which came off the panini menu. There are a few options for sides, like chips and salsa, apple slices, or kettle chips. Our meals were delicious and worth the price. However, we also got the avocado toast for our son, and it was really just sub-par. Something we likely wouldn't pay $10+ again. I would undoubtedly return here to try some of the many, many other options on their menu. Honestly so many delicious sounding dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Got a couple of subs here at Bubs Subs for dinner last night. Bread and toppings are fresh, sandwich sizes are generous, and the meats are clearly very high quality. Everything was delicious. Meat was so fresh and the bread was outstanding. Also, their staff was amazing and friendly. They have a great and awesome customer service. Their place is always busy because lots of people keep coming back and loving their place. It was excellent. Can't wait to pay a visit again but with my friends and family. Definitely one of my top sub places.

"I tried this restaurant for the first time and it is fairly priced! The pizzas were delicious and had plenty of toppings. I got the Amazon Deluxe and I added pineapples. Quick service and good pizza. I would recommend!"
"Awesome boneless wings. Nice workers/cooks. Pretty fair prices as well. Worth the time."
"Great place in the middle of Libertyville to eat in or get carryout salads and deli items. It has a pretty big menu. The Picnic Basket is a longtime favorite of locals to come to at lunch to get something healthy, or to get something for catering or whatever. Has many salads to choose from. You can also get sandwiches. A great option is to get a few salads in a combo. It's one way to sample a few. They have the 3 Salad Combo where you choose any of these. It's about $10 so it's a pretty good value for all of it. Last time in here I got some of these. Farro Salad is one of the best. It has chickpeas, garlic, and tomatoes. Pecan Spinach is good too. A simple one but has lots of crunch. It has apples, red onions, and tomatoes. Quechuan Quinoa is another favorite. It has black beans, corn, and peppers. This is pretty filling and spicy if you like that. Has lots of very tasty salads to choose from. If wanting to get something more for a main meal, they also have lots of sandwiches. This place is pretty great to go to for something healthier, and to get things for vegans and vegetarians."
"Food was good. I had the hand breaded chicken fingers and tots. Service was friendly."
"It may not look like much from the outside but its what's on the inside that matters! The casual atmosphere on the inside is where its at. My breakfast, the 'Lake Edge Scramble' was tasty and filling, the bacon was defiantly worth the upcharge! The selection of fresh baked pastries was great for how small that kitchen must be!!!Refills on Iced Tea were cheep as well!only thing that I had a hard time with was it could get difficult to hear the baristas calling out drink orders because of the layout, but thats not a reason not to go back!!"
"Food is good. We go back for a specific waitress honestly, she is an older lady and is so so sweet, and is always on top of things. I have noticed the prices on the menu went up quite a bit that's unfortunate. The waitress told us the make pancake mix from scratch and they make their own syrup, and they are both delicious . The place has an old diner feel. Every coffee cup is different."
"Georgie Porgie's is a nice, local establishment that serves a variety of fast food items and frozen custard. This review is from my visit back in June 2023, which was my first time checking out the establishment. My family and I went here as we were in the mood for burgers and frozen custard. I ordered their Cheddar Melt burger, which comes in a toasted white bread, but I asked for it to be made using a wheat bun instead. My wife ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich. Additionally, we ordered wonton mozzarella sticks, Greek salad, and a butter pecan frozen custard blitz (their version of a blizzard/ concrete) with banana and salted pretzels as toppings. The food came out a short time after I placed the order. My wife order was right, but mine was incorrect. Even though I had asked for a wheat bun for my burger instead of the toasted white bread, I was still given it with white bread. So, I requested one of the staff members to have it changed to my original order. When they gave me my correct order, the burger was no longer a cheddar melt type burger but just a regular cheddar burger as the burger did not go through the proper toasting process. The burger meat patty to the bun ratio was way off. The bun was much bigger than the skinny meat patty. The meat wasn't quite flavorful, and the burger was just okay. The chipotle chicken sandwich was tasty. It had a decent flavor, and the cheese was properly melted. However, it too had a bun to meat patty ratio issue. The Greek salad was pretty tasty, and I liked it a lot. The wonton mozzarella sticks were a unique twist on the usual breaded mozzarella sticks, but they were just so-so in taste. Last but not least, the frozen custard blitz, which was the best part of our meal (followed by the Greek salad). The frozen custard flavor was delicious. Georgie Porgie's is a popular place among the locals. Its atmosphere is inviting, the service is good and friendly, the restaurant is clean, the menu variety is good, and the items are reasonably priced. I had an okay experience here. I most likely will go back for their frozen custard if I happen to be in the area."
"Stopped in on my way through for a healthier alternative to fast food. Man at the counter was very nice and gave me his recommendation but I just got a turkey sandwich with coleslaw. The food was ready in 2 minutes even with all of the tables full and the size of the sandwich was almost as impressive as its speed being made."
"Their sandwiches and cheesecake are absolutely amazing! The customer service is always good and the food does not disappoint. I've never sat inside to eat - but take it to go and it's always still delicious."
"We moved to Oconomowoc recently and had to check out this place which has such good ads. The food lives up to the billing. Our server was very attentive, and the cheese curd appetizer came to our table quickly. Burgers were great. Mac and cheese with fried chicken was superb. We liked the vibe. We will be back."
"Amazing family restaurant with great atmosphere and kind people. Huge selection of food and nice size portions and great prices."
"Top tier Mochas out here at this joint. I go here every other day for coffee. Go ahead and go here for the best in the Sha"
"Absolutely fantastic polish food! The servers were excellent and the owner comes and greets every table. He also entertains with his accordion throughout the night. The piano player is blind and is the most wonderful person. He also sings and is so talented. Will return many times."
"Me, my fiance and my sister in law went out to breakfast and we had Leslie as our server. She was super nice and made sure we were well taken care of. She's one of the best servers we have had while eating there."
"A quick easy lunch spot with fresh ingredients and friendly staffs. There was seriously nothing bad I can say about my experience. You get a huge filling sandwich for the price, and definitely worth the visit!"
"I've been eating at this restaurant when family comes into town for the past two years. I'm overdue to review. This restaurant is always excellent, super clean and their service is second to none. The owner/manager is friendly and kind to customers. She makes sure people are seated quickly and feel valued. This past weekend I ordered the fresh basil, pine nut and goat cheese omelette; it was the best omelette I've ever had! The owner came over and asked how the food was, I told her how much I loved the omelette and she shared it was a favorite of hers as well. She also had us try her cheesecake, I think with a lime topping. It was delicious! Definitely the best breakfast in the area, reasonably priced and service is awesome!"
"always amazing the staff & the food everything!!!Full menu with so many great options to choose from. Also an amazing outdoor seating area"
"This restaurant is small but cute and clean! Came in on a Thursday night around 5pm, no wait and only customers. The banh mi was not anything special, too much bread and not enough fillings. The pho was decent, broth was pretty flavorful and good base, on the sweeter side. They definitely skimped out on the noodles and side veggies/toppings (was given approximately 3 individual leaves of basil). I do want to try their appetizers so I will be back but there is definitely better pho in the MKE area, but this does satisfy the initial craving. If it weren't a block away from me, I would skip it."
"What a beautiful coffee shop! I came here to do some work and meet up with some friends. I arrived first so I ordered the cold Caramel Roll Latte with Barriques Forge Espresso, steamed oat milk, caramel & vanilla. I'm not a huge coffee drinker this drink was really good. I've had it hot and cold and they are both really good. i will be back again."
"I stopped by while in town celebrating my birthday solo; I was feeling a bit lonely but thought it might be weird to ask for attention while out on my own, so I wasn't going to say anything. The extremely welcoming and kind server chatted with me and made recommendations; I had a huge, delicious sandwich and greens with the best strawberry vinaigrette I've ever had. I felt comfortable enough to mention why I was there, and he brought me a slice of heavenly lemon curd cheesecake as a birthday treat. I stopped feeling lame and just enjoyed being celebrated. I so appreciated the kind reception and will happily visit this spot again next time I'm in Madison!"
"My first visit to Jakes Deli was over 10yrs ago. I have traveled the country trying to find Pastrami as good as Jakes. There was no comparison. I used to live in Chicago and traveled to Milwaukee often just to get a Jakes pastrami. Now I am living in Columbus Ohio. Fortunately, my sister now lives 40 minutes away. I have visited her and each time we must make the 40 minute drive to Jakes. She too believes it's the best pastrami she has had."
"Great food! We had buttermilk pancakes, chicken and waffles and the back toBed breakfast sandwich. Very tasty and delicious. Bacon was cooked perfectly as was the sausage."
"Goddess and the Baker is a fantastic coffee shop! Today, on Valentine's Day, they had a two-for-one special on their Raspberry Cardamom Mocha Latte -- which was very good (could use a bit more cardamom, but that's just me)! Despite how busy they were, the staff was working together seamlessly, and their positive energy was contagious. They were smiling at each other and interacting with the customers with smiles, making the experience that much better. My daughter forgot to ask for a non-dairy option when placing our order, but they happily accommodated without hesitation. Love the vibe of this place so much! Can't wait to go back."
