"I've been in the area for over 4 weeks with work and had such a craving for country fried steak! Castlewood was less than 2 miles away, so off I went! I called in my order and did take out. Super nice on the phone and said my order would be ready in 15. I asked for the gravy on the side and they gave me an entire cup! Nice to have that for the mashed potatoes:) Salad was fresh and plenty and the country fried steak hit the spot. They call it chicken fried steak btw.. I'll probably be in the area for a while longer and glad to have this spot nearby. Oh, 13 and change for the meal which is super fair."
"I have got to say that this is the best Gyro in all of Lake County.Grew up in the city and I have tried many a Gyro after moving out to Lake County.Best tzatziki sauce. You don't get cheated on the meat with this sandwich."

"Absolutely delicious! I had the Greek Salad with Chicken and ate the entire salad! Owner is very nice too. Lovely little dine in atmosphere as well. If you love Mediterranean cuisine I definitely encourage you to dine here!!"
"This is our Greek go to spot in our neck of the woods in Tosa. It's an awesome hole in the wall joint run by a super friendly, hard-working family. The star of the show is no doubt the jerk chicken pita - it's massive and loaded with flavor. Not greasy or spicy, it's truly out of this world. It comes with amazing fries that are always hot, fresh and crispy. I was able to try the fish fry, it was just OK though. I have not tried any of their gyros yet, and it's only because that jerk chicken pita is so darn good it's hard to pass it up when I visit. We usually take our food to go because it is a tiny restaurant with only a few tables, so it can be difficult to dine in during the busy lunch rush. Pro tip: take your food to go and head across the street to Gathering Place Brewery and have yourself a pint on their fabulous back patio while you nosh on your killer pita!"
"Great atmosphere at the bar! Love the Happy Hour M-F ! Highly recommend the Cosmo and Burrata with focaccia bread! Always amazing staff and service."
"Another show at the Riverside, another stop at Mediterranean Cuisine. It's an order at the counter and they'll bring your food to your table sort of set up. That said, the quality and presentation of the food is what you would expect from a restaurant that offers table service. I love their Greek fries, which have the perfect amount of crispiness and the right amount of feta. Their falafel wrap is amazing as is their pistachio baklava. The dining area is clean and well appointed and the service has been lovely every time I've been in.Get to it!"
"Stopped by here to order takeout for five folks recently. It was a cold winter evening (15 degrees) and was incredibly cold in the restaurant as well (I'd say 50 degrees in there or slightly less). I don't know if they didn't have the heater on or what (I mean it was much colder outside, of course). It wasn't helped by the fact that they had the exterior doors propped open. There was a second set of interior doors that were closed but you could still feel the wind through the cracks. That said, we were there for takeout so weren't super concerned. There was only one person actually dining in house and they were wearing full coat and earmuffs. An odd start to our first experience here, nonetheless.I ordered their falafel wrap, which came on what appeared to be Lebanese flat bread. It was good! The falafel wasn't overly dry and they were generous with the pickles. I got their cheese fries for the side, which basic thick cut fries with cheese sauce. They were a solid aok. One of my dining companions got one of their bowls with the garlic sauce. I had a bite and it was delish. I'd definitely order their falafel bowl next time! The service was kind and the prices are reasonable ($100 or so after tip for dinner for 5). Not sure I'd dine in during the winter months but the food was good!"
"Old Town is a place where generations of familis have gathered to enjoy comforting, tasty food. My family is among them and it had been 20 years since we all gathered there for a meal together. The atmosphere is unchanged.Seriously, the old school dining room with a supper club/Elks Club banquet hall vibe is the same as it ever was. Even the bathroom wallpaper is the same, which is not great, since it is literally falling off the women's room wall.Decor aside, Old Town recently introduced a weekend brunch and we were all in as a family to try it for Easter Sunday.Service is warm and friendly, but the brunch offerings seem new to some staffers who could not answer questions about all the dishes. Also, if you know burek you know the table will wait when someone orders the dish, however, the service timing still was off. Appetizers and pre-meal cocktails came out randomly, often alone, leaving most at the table with empty spots in front of them. The food though was glorious as ever and worth every minute of the wait. The aforementioned spinach and cheese burek with egg was light, crispy and deeply satisfying to crunch into; served with an edible flower, it was also pretty. My family tried both lamb dishes on offer and loved them. Portions were generous and there were many take-home boxes requested. BF had the musaka and it disappeared quickly leaving him full and with a smile on his face. Next time I'm after the vegetarian musaka, since that is a rare delight.A cousin tried the baklava pancakes . They were huge and mega sweet but fun to share around the table. We all enjoyed the Serbian tomato salad. My dad sampled the sarma and loved it.We also enjoyed some walnut martinis and Serbian wines. They now also have a bar menu of small plates that is appealing. There's parking in back."
"I've been eating at pita inn for years and I mean years!!!! I've been to most of the locations but recently moved to the area and have been frequenting the mundeline location. Food is delicious and super consistent. I was having a house warming party and no brained I ordered pita inn catering! And what do you know delicious!!! We got the preferred package:KeftaChicken tendersFalafel Shush kabobRice BabaganoushHummus Salad we upgraded to fatoush Pita and all the delicious sauces. Everything was so good. Our guests were happy and full and we still had so many left overs."
"I ordered a Greek Salad and a Gyro Sandwich delivered. I accidentally ordered the salad and forgot the Gyro Sandwich and called and they were able to add to my order (Yelp shows to call grub hub but they were not helpful). The salad came with good quality romaine lettuce, olives, tomatoes, onions, sweet peppers, cucumbers, chunks of feta cheese and a sweet salad dressing on the side. Salad also included a warm pita bread. The gyro included onions and two tzikki sauces on the side plus a huge amount of meat. Picture doesn't do it justice it was outstanding."
"We stopped by Mr. Pita to grab a quick lunch while on our way up to Milwaukee for the weekend. Both are grilled pita sandwiches were delicious especially with the creamy garlic sauce. Also, tried some of the salads which were very fresh and tasty. Their falafel is some of the BEST I have ever had. It's so good dipped in the garlic sauce. They also have vegetarian options and baked goods. The owner, Kenny is super cool. Very friendly, engaging and polite. Excellent customer service!"
"* Upscale and classy for a nice pasta/italian date night* Laid back enough for a great happy hour* Contemporary enough to suit both those looking for a more classic/traditional menu and those who are wanting a bit of fusion or creative dishes!(Rumor has it that they may be offering a private dinner boat and a boardwalk bar!)"

Only if we could rate this place based on friendliness and service: it would get top rating. Unfortunately, the food (my rating is based on breakfast) is below par, possibly even poorer than Bob Evans, Waffle House, Denny's, etc. Meanwhile, the place remains packed with locals crowding to order breakfast as cheap as it was in the 80s. That's the other compliment that needs to be given: there's tons of value here, just no quality. Clearly, the locals that come here could care less about quality (a lot of retired folks come daily). They scarf down the bacon and eggs, combos and toast. Meanwhile, everything tastes like it came off a dolly from a food distributor. I personally think even the Waffle House is better (which I know there aren't many nearby, but it's a great comparison). The bacon tasted microwaved. The bread like it was something that was bought in the value aisle at the grocery store and the hash browns seemed like they were sitting under a heating lamp for a few hours. On the other hand, the servers couldn't be more friendly. If you want to hang out with the locals, eat low grade food and overhear fishing stories this is your spot.

Gyro was good...more garlic in the meat than anywhere else I've had a gyro and that was just fine for me...though probably not kosher for the people I was meeting with right afterwards. It took a bit to get the food but was well worth it. Fries were seasoned well, crisp, and tasty as well. I had the gyro plate and it comes with a choice between three sides. Nice ambiance though it's small which made it cold inside no matter where you were. Service was timid but good.

Stopped in for lunch and got the gyro platter while my friend got their burger. Ask me why I had a little food envy when our orders came out? Not that there was anything with my gyro platter- in fact it was spot on. They threw in extra olives at my request and their fries were nice and crispy. The staff was kind and personable and I'll definitely be back!

Lupi and iris lives up to the hype! I came here for my birthday and they all said happy birthday, gave me a card, and even gave me a dessert. I felt special. The whole area was modern, gleaming.Changed plates and silverware and cleaned between each app. The server seemed genuinely excited about the food.Scallops and cauliflower were very good. 2. Still that rubbery textured with a crisp brown top and bottom.Ravioli and mushrooms. 5. Very good, especially the mushrooms. Brown butter likeSwordfish was the best thing we ate. It had so much components that you could eat separately. Each amazing.Panisse was also great. It was kinda a corn flour savory with balsamic and diced potatoes. The flourless brownie cake is thick but somewhat still light. I really like the walnut liquor ice cream. It was almost vanilla bourbon flavor. The apple tart cheese special had potential. There's honey, carmel, nuts, apples, philo dough, and a unique white cheese. I don't think it was for me. I also don't know if another cheese would be be better. Initially I was thinking Cheddar or goat, but I don't know anymore.

Had dinner here before a show at the Pabst Theater. Don't snooze on this place. Between the generic name and the location I wasn't expecting too much even though the menu looked good. But Mediterranean Cuisine has great food and friendly service. The gyros are popular according to the website but there are lots of gyros in Milwaukee. I had the Adana kebab plate. All the plates have rice and salad and bread. I really enjoyed the salad with peppery greens and seasoned onions. The kebab itself was juicy and flavorful. I liked the stuffed grape leaf that accompanied my plate also. The atmosphere was brisk and casual but there were lots of conversations going on in the dining room. It's a great place for before or after an event. They seem to do a decent takeout business also.Next I want to try the Iskender kebab and the mezze. I also want to go back when I have more time and linger over tea.

I've had takeout from Shawarma Palace a couple of times and the food is delicious. The menu has a good variety of items as well as portion sizes, so everybody can find something they like. This place has my favorite baba ganoush - it's lightly smoky, great texture, and just so, so good. I also always get the hummus and kubbeh. This most recent time I tried the falafel wrap and it was excellent. With the sides, I have plenty of leftovers, too. When I placed my delivery order, I had forgotten to add the kubbeh so I called up. The person who answered was really helpful and said, just place an order for pick-up and he'll know to just add it to the other items for the delivery driver. Worked like a charm!

We got a Groupon here. The place was very spacious and cute. Our foods were mediocre. The foods seemed not to be fresh. It looks like they were reheating those foods. Additionally, the bread was okay. I would prefer they warm it up. The only thing I was somewhat enjoyed was the chevapchichi appetizer. I thought it was interesting. Probably not coming back again. Kinda disappointed for my first experience eating Serbian food.

"If meal time is at Taqwas, then oh you are in for a treat. Our mixed grill was off the charts, packed with juicy goodness in every bite. And don't even get me started on the sides, each one was a masterpiece. The service? The hostess made us feel welcomed when we walked in. They've also recently revamped the space, and it's got the traditional stylish vibe that makes dining there an experience in itself. Can't wait to go back."
"I recently stopped by here after a study session at Rochambo for a quick bite, and it was exactly what I needed. It had been a few summers since my last visit, but it's just as good as I remember. In the summer, I love their frozen mint lemonade--such a treat. This time, I went with the classic gyro plate, and it did not disappoint. The fries were perfectly crispy, the gyro was super flavorful, and it even came with our own bottle of tzatziki--life changing! The food came out quickly too!The atmosphere is fast-casual, making it perfect for a quick bite. Just a heads-up: they prefer cash but do accept cards as well!"
"Best place for the money gyro fri and drink for 6.56 out the door you can lose for the price !"
"Joined my mom for brunch. This was my first time visiting. It's a nice little spot with both booths and tables for dining. There is also a gaming area. I had the Country Skillet with pancakes and mom had the eggs and hashbrowns. She had coffee and I had water. The skillet was delicious, the gravy was the perfect touch with the potatoes. I took the pancakes home and they did not reheat well. We both enjoyed our meals. The facility is clean and is the condiments on the table. The portion size is perfect and the price is reasonable. Best of all GREAT service!"
"We had Sunday breakfast here. We walked in had a very brief wait for a booth, We sat a a booth that was specifically set up for a table of 3 with ice water . We had a longer wait for service however the waitress did make sure to stop by the table to let us know that she is just finishing up with another table. Since it was my first time I didn't mind though it would have been nice to have coffee cups since flavored creme, butter and half and half was in small bowls. Give me time to read the menu and a few of the other yelp reviews while waiting. My sister ordered poached eggs, Canadian bacon, and pancakes. she enjoyed the eggs, and Canadian bacon. But the pancake was so so.The hash browns were cooked very lightly. Sausage gravy was made with sliced pieces of breakfast sausage links nothing spectacular I would have to say that I have had better from a can. The service is fairly good they could improve by checking on coffee levels more frequently. The water pitcher came around regularly. The busers were clearing tables throughout our meal but it was done loudly."
"Quick reviewDoing a show at the Genessee Theatre, and this is where they had us order our craft service. A nice diversion from the usual "muska-cholly" and cold chicken, or sports-bar burgers most theatres give us.Fine Beef Kofta Kabab and Rice. I dig a Mediterranean feed."
"Newer kabab house where the old Korean/Chinese place used to be. It is half self-serve - you order at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. We tried to help by bringing the plates back to the counter when we were done, but I think we are allowed to leave it at the table. There is nothing awesome about the interior. They might want to put up some decoration at some point? But most importantly, they need to give their tables a really good scrubbing, or use tablecloths. It's sticky. Customer service was nothing to wow at, but efficient. Food was awesome. Beef kofta - if you get this per skewer, it's 4. My favorite. Very tasty.Chicken tawook - hubby's favorite. (it's like chicken shish kabob. I think kabob refers to beef, and tarok refers to chicken) On the two occasions he had it (part of the mix shawarma grill plate) it was moist and flavorful. Nothing worse than dry chicken, but this one was perfect.beef shish kabob - very good, but not as flavorful as the kofta (which should be more flavorful by default, lol. It's like comparing steak to sausage)arabi chicken - I never had this dish before, but it was quite yummy. They make good chicken!!baba ghanough - ok, but I've had better. I like to order this because I'm not a huge fan of hummus, but actually, their hummus is comparable, so I wouldn't pay extra to get this again (I mean the hummus that comes with the plates)Rice - meh. And not because I'm on keto. I LOVE mediterranean rice. Before going keto, I would get a plate to share with hubby, let him have all the meats, and I'll just eat the rice. When they're good. Here, nope.Overall, meats are good, but the sides lack a little something."
"In A Nutshell:-Ouzo Cafe is a nice Mediterranean restaurant located in downtown MKE.-I was looking for a healthy meal during this trip so I wouldn't get bloated prior to the triathlon.-I was happy to find this restaurant.-I ordered their shish kabobs which comes in 3, you can choose from chicken, pork or beef.-The greek salad was also very good, very flavorful.Overall, the service was friendly & attentive."
"Traditional Middle Eastern and Palestinian cuisine.Quality/Quantity - #3 Falafel 12pc - My favorite of all the dishes, fresh out of the fryer!#21 Pita Palace Mix Grill - My favorite of all the entrees, but the falafels were actually my favorite food.#37 Chicken Shawarma - My family's favorite.#30 Lamb Chops - Good flavors, I thought the lamb was a little dry.#44 Cheese Burger - Good, our friend ordered this, he really likes American food; especially BBQ. Generous portions of fries!Turkish Delights - From the other side of the business.Atmosphere - Good size local business. Two businesses in one now, but am told both businesses are owned by the same owner.Indoor/outdoor seating.Plenty of parking.Service - 5 stars, the waitress asked if it was our first time; but our friends are regulars, so the waitress explained the process to us. We ordered from the counter and the waitress brought us our water, plates, utensils, etc. Yes, we did our usual family style dining. She kept our waters full and cleaned all our tables. There was no pressure to leave early. Price - See menu, as our friends did NOT let us pay. We fought for the bill and lost.Owner Comment - Congrats on your success, I am told you have two locations now...?"
"A coworker brought in the some of the chicken platters to share. It was amazing the perfect amount of spicy and great flavor. Can't wait to try more dishes from this place!!!! Highly recommended giving them a try"
"I love this place. I been here about a dozen times, have tried numerous things on the menu. If you want fresh, quality ingredients, come here. The chicago dogs, man you can not just get one. The philly sub, so good. On top of them having food that is good, the owner and staff are always so nice!"
"I love Sam's cooking. The dedication to quality, from-scratch cuisine and unique selections makes Cafe 36 a "must" stop when we're in the area. I should also mention the quality of the service. Very friendly staff."
"Love this place ! It's out of the way in the back by a gas station ! It has a big menu! Variety of sides . There are a wide range of ethnic choices Greek my favorite Hispanic and American. I love getting the Gryros because it's hard to find one int the area of my taste, The staff is very friendly. They always ask how you want it and get it right. It is basically for take out . I plan on ordering more and more!"
"Y'ALL--This is one of the most underrated, hole-in-the-wall establishments in Milwaukee. A must try for lovers of authentic middle eastern/Mediterranean food. The place looks nondescript and unassuming from the outside, and the interior is equally as confusing with its ballroom style layout, wedding cathedral-esque center stage, and takeout counter in the back corner. But don't let that deter you eating here. Service: 9.5/10. - Love the warm and welcoming feel of this family-owned restaurant. Owners are the sweetest. My friend is a regular here, and at this point, the owners recognize her. Normally, you have to pay for water (they only serve bottled water, no tap water), but they gave everyone in our party water bottles free of charge. - It was sometimes hard to flag down our server, but we got checked on frequently enough. - They were generous with their sauces! We asked for frequent sauce refills, and they would bring out big bowls full of sauce each time. Food: 1000/10. - I don't think I've had chicken this tender in a very long time. The meat fell off the bone with barely a graze of my fork, and was so juicy and full of flavor. - Rice is yummy and cooked with a delicious blend of spices. - Their red sauce is SO BOMB, I would take home vats of this if I could. - Serving size is generous and easily shareable between friends. Easily one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Milwaukee. Just wish it was closer and not in the middle of nowhere, but maybe that's for the best; otherwise, I'd be here every week."
"Great place. This place is in Great Harvest which is basically a cross between a Whole Foods and a Co-op. That said, the place is great. They had lots of gluten free options. Also - it was lunch so I did not get a beer but they had 4 options of GF beer just a few steps away. The food was good and it was the perfect spot for a Sunday brunch. I would definitely come here again"
"Delish. Love this spot. I visited the first few days it opened & it was super busy. Longer wait but the food was fresh and flavorful. Nicely decorated inside, quite a few seating options. Workers were kind. Great addition to the area, can't wait to try more!"
"I was looking for something quicker during lunch on a work day and saw this place on Yelp. The Grill Shack is a smaller place in a strip mall. I believe it replaced Factory Ice Cream. I actually walked past Grill Shack at first. The menu is a unique combination of middle eastern and American and includes fries and pizza. The combos are $2 more for fries and a 12oz soda can. The sandwiches are around $8-$10. I can only speak for the one item I had, the Cajun chicken, but it was better than maybe grilled chickens for $16 I've had at a restaurant. The decor and set up is somewhat odd. There's a thin row of tables that led to the back. This is great for work lunch. Not great for groups or a date or impressing the in laws."
"As was the case with Il Mito I - OMG! Describes the food. The service also outstanding! The place has ambiance, and those cool garage doors for summer evenings - (can't wait!). Fecker did it again. The choices were amazing, the prices were very good for upscale, contemporary food and menu and the flavors were of course supreme. Fecker has Il Mito (which my very cool daughter turned us on to many years ago (North Avenue - 58th or so?) and then they opened Hartland, Zesti - also wonderful, just as wonderful and very cool venue - then this one in Delafield the 'Cafe' but full bar/wine/etc but limited hours so make a reservation! He also bought Dobie's in St Francis no where near us and it's a steak place and we don't usually have beef. All four of us were extremely pleased. I would say no children - it's an upscale, great food night out with family or friends and 4 people expect $200. per usual good food and drinks.nowherenowhere"
"What a cool mediterranean place in the journeyman hotel. Love the vibe anesthetics. Hostess and servers were quite friendly and informative. Reservations are recommended and I see why. It's pretty popular! The portions are definitely on the small side so if you're looking at yelp photos that aren't recent you might be surprised, and need to order extra sides. Baba Ganoush with pita bread was pretty good but not enough pita comes with it so if you ask for more bread it's $2 per pita . The swordfish is pretty much a half portion for $28 and topped with pearl onions which wasn't really an accompaniment. The pizza was a good portion and better choice for a fulfilling meal and the ricotta dumplings are also a small portion but quite tasty. If I went back it would just be for the pizza."
"People have been loving Lebnanii House and with good reason. I met the fam here for a weekend lunch and the place was PACKED. Reservations - they take ''em so you best make 'em. You'd never know this used to be an old school Pizza Hut (the kind with the tabletop Ms Pac Man) because the interior is gorgeous. Lots of deep blues, flowers and really interesting lighting. Perfect for groups and nice enough for date night. The menu goes far beyond typical hummus, shawarma and falafels and includes lots of dishes I've never seen or heard of before. Know that portions are HUGE and perfect for sharing so bring a group or plan on leftovers. We started with the hummus trio ($13) which was 3 giant bowls of beet, pesto and spiced hummus served with delicious fresh baked bread. This is the creamiest hummus I've ever had and the pesto version is hands down the best I've had anywhere. That was followed by chicken basil rolls (delicious), halloumi, a couple of stews that I can't recall the names of (but were delicious) and a giant flatbread that was so fresh and perfect. I think I'm forgetting other things but we ended up with a mountain of food!Service is genuinely hospitable and kind and the prices are a great value for what you get. I cannot wait to go back and try more things"
"We ended up at this spot as we needed a quick spot to eat but something that would be potentially filling without a ton of calories and what a great find it turned out to be! I got a falafel wrap and it was huge and full of veggies! The flavor was on point too!The service was quick although the workers seemed to have a bit of an attitude but at least the order was correct. The place is on a corner in a plaza and you honestly would think to walk inside but it's once place you want to check out. I will say the fries were not the best but I'm someone who really likes my fries crispy so anytime there any mush to it I'm instantly turned off, plus they were not seasoned that well.I will also note this place is open late which worked out great when we were looking for food again later that evening. The Philly steak I had later was sooo good too! It had tons of meat and was so full I had to eat it with a fork. I also thoroughly enjoyed the baklava which they do call it something else because it's a lot thicken than a traditional baklava. If you're in the downtown Milwaukee area and in need of a quick bite; give this place a try you won't be disappointed; although you do have to ignore the attitude of the employees, lol."
