"Came on a Saturday afternoon, not very busy, service was fast and friendly and the food was great! I wanted to try each of the tacos so did the keto taco, the hard taco, the quesitaco and the red taco, two chicken and two beef...and they were all terrific, hard to tell which one I liked best, maybe the quesitaco. My friend got the birria plate and that might be worth trying next time, he lived it and it was a ton of food. Will definitely be back, sad I don't live closer."
"The reviews are right! This place earns its high rating.A cute and moderately sized dining room in an old building amidst a charming area of south milwaukee awaits you when you visit Azteca. On our first visit, the Saturday evening crowd was vibrating and the live music was lively. We were seated immediately for our reservation. The menu is pretty extensive and in line with most other authentic Mexican restaurants. The three different salsas were good. We sampled the house margaritas and they were solid. The stars of the show were the food and the staff. The food was prepared exactly to requested variations. The steak enchilada with added fresh jalepenos with verde sauce on top was excellent, as was the chili rellenos with chorizo. Our friends got the suiza enchilada and they looked yummy. As noted, the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuine in their desire for the visit to be positive.Highly recommended. We'll be back."
"I visited on a busy Sunday during an event. I ordered a steak burrito with avocado. The wait was 10 min or less. The burrito was hot, flavorful, and large."
"Dang you, Caracas Empanadas! You're too good. I find myself craving you literally every Saturday when the weather is warm and I know you'll be available at the farmers' market. The plantain and garlic vegetarian empanadas are perfection. I am routinely lost for what to have for brunch when I make my way out to the cart and that's not an option. Nothing else sounds good after I've set my mind on those crispy, amazing pockets. This past weekend I gave in and tried the vegetarian offering of the day when my beloved plantain and garlic variety wasn't available for the second farmers market of the season (and leaving empty-handed last week). I think it was more or less their signature pabellon, sans meat: rice, beans, plantain, and avocado. It was super delish and super filling. I ordered the two for $5 and it was almost too much. Definitely a great deal for a meal on the go. Now, for as amazing as the empanadas are, what really puts them over the top is the guasacaca. In general, I hate cilantro (I don't have the dreaded soap flavor reaction, I just do not care for it at all). I will go out of my way to ask that cilantro be removed from my orders. However, when combined with garlic and whatever else goes into CE's killer recipe it becomes the most delicious thing on the planet. I want to take shots of this sauce straight from the condiment cup. Not a bite of my empanada goes by that I am not dunking it into the guasacaca first. You may have had guasacaca elsewhere, but it likely does not even compare to this green giant. If I somehow haven't decimated my container(s) of guasacaca with my empanadas the leftovers go in the fridge. It's too precious to chuck into the trash, even if I only have enough for two tortilla chips. I love you, Caracas Empanadas."
"I called ahead to confirm they were open. All good.Parking was at the front door. The Food was delicious. 5/5 I love a soft bun on my brisket sandwich. This was a nice bun. The meat was tasty. Tried a couple sauces. All very good compliments to the meat. Service was quick and friendly/ helpful explaining the sauces. 5/5Ambiance was chill. Which is what I needed tonight. A few groups came in and they kept the volume down to a good level.Overall 5/5. I recommend and I will return."
"Small food truck with amazing flavor. We had a sandwich and a garlic chicken plate and both were really good. The sandwich is enough for 2 people. Definitely a repeat!"
"My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant. It recently opened and normally I wait until a restaurant gets it's feet wet!!! The food was amazing and very large portions. We split the Hackney's onion loaf along with the Philly Cheese Steak Footlong. I made a reservation however the hostess was unable to find it. We sat right in front of Main Street facing the garage doors. The weather was perfect and we had an amazing waitress. She was positive even though she was stressed. I was impressed that she was knowledgeable about the food. So many choices, it was difficult making a decision. We'll definitely be returning."
"Great customer service. This goes to show depending on what part of the country you are from or how you personally either cook or like your bbq...depend on how enjoy or rate food. The food was good. I like my sauce spicy and my ribs with a little bite but not tough. Potato salad is also difficult... I don't care for a sweet tasting potato salad nor do I like pickle relish in my potato salad. I am obviously a little weird because this truck cranks out the bbq and ppl are willing to wait in line no matter the weather. I will go back and try more meats and sides. Always willing to support locally owned businesses! The smells alone are worth $$"
"SO GOOD.We tried the veggie arepa (with cheese and the spicy salsa) and it was phenomenal. I'm a huge arepa fan and this was for sure top two or three I've ever had. The sweet plantain paired with the rich cheese and spicy salsa was an absolute match made in heaven. 100% will be back."
"Hidden gem in milwaukee. Top 5 restaurant after trying the incredible carne en su Hugo! If you haven't been here you should! It's cheap, delicious, fresh, and the service was impeccable. Like 11$ for all that food! Blew me out of the water!"
"Recently moving here from So Cal, where food trucks are "gourmet destinations", we felt lucky to stumble upon South Padre Streetfood. We first experienced it at the Rock County farmers market, and then again at the Beloit farmers market. We first tried the lobster mac and cheese, on several occasions, each time consistently very good. They told us they post their locations on the Facebook page, along with specials, so we followed them. We happily found that their truck was routinely downtown, on Main Street during the week, except Monday's. One day they had a "Mahi Mahi Taco" special. Only a few blocks away, we stopped by and let me say, they are very good with the right about of heat. It came with chips, beans and salsa. Nothing packaged, everything fresh. They were so good, we went and got a second order, they were that good. They post their daily specials and being only a few blocks from our neighborhood, this has become a lunchtime destination. They also deliver and have catering, which I intend on using in the future."
"Tried their corn in a cup and steak tacos to go, they were tasty and would order from them again!"

We came here to do a restaurant review so I ordered a few things. Initially I was confused on if I ordered inside or at the truck, but we were informed that we would order at the kiosks inside and they pick up at the window. At least during my time there, there is no table service. We sat outside where a lovely cat stared at me until I was done eating. LOL. I tried a red taco, an empanada, the quesitaco and the keto taco. The questitaco was my favorite with the melted cheese at the bottom of the tortilla. The beef and chicken are both pretty solid and I really enjoyed the salsa. You can get consumme on the side for an extra charge, but the meat held a lot of liquid so you probably don't need it.If I am back in the area and craving a taco, I won't hesitate to come back.

Enjoyed a very nice meal as Azteca in South Milwaukee. 3 of us ate dinner. Service was very wonderful and everyone including the young man who seated us , checked in if everything was going all right with the food and if we needed anything-- napkins or water etc. --very kind. The food was good. Prices are average for the dinners. Pretty much typical to what you find at other restaurants price wise. The one thing that threw me off was that they wedge their doors open. Both doors-- so the outside is open to the inside. The weather was somewhat muggy and cool as it was mildly rainy and a bit windy-- and also any bugs/flys can fly in. I know some enjoy eating outside, and then these things are expected. But, when eating inside- I didn't enjoy the open doors. Overall-- it was a very good experience and so we have a 4 star review. You'd enjoy the food here. Everything we had had a lot of good flavor. Give them a try- it's a cute place with workers that smile and care.

Taco trucks are a great option in the era of socially-distanced dining, and Mazorca Tacos (located in the Zocalo Food Park) is a solid choice for reasonably priced street tacos. Our first attempts using the online system failed due to the max capacity of orders being reached at that time, but we were eventually able to sample the al pastor, birria, and bistec tacos as well as the chips and guac. The al pastor taco was definitely our favorite with flavorful moist pork topped with avocado cilantro salsa and onions. The birria and bistec tacos were less impressive as the beef seemed a bit drier. Keep in mind that the tacos are small (my husband needed at least 4 to have a satisfying meal) so order accordingly!

Caracas makes some of my favorite empanadas. I make sure to find them when I go to the Farmer's Market and other special events at the Capitol Square. There is usually a long line, but it goes fast and so worth the wait!!

It's about time I write my review for this establishment. For the last several months, I have been frequenting Just Smokin on a near weekly basis. Quality bbq is hard to find in the Milwaukee area, and having lived in Texas for a few years, the bar for bbq is set pretty high for me. Just Smokin is up there with the top spots I frequented in Texas. While pretty much everything I have tried at Just Smokin is great, my repeat order is the two meat sampler with a broccoli salad side. And my favorite meats are the fatty brisket and the pork belly. Both are remarkably tender and oozing with flavor. The pork belly in particular hits all the dopamine receptors in my brain with every bite. So much so that I recently picked up a full pound of it to enjoy over the weekend (with a side of brisket). This is a diamond level local spot in Menomonee Falls. The owner and employees are awesome as well. Give it a try.

Eating on campus is you know... don't get me wrong, that's any campus, institutional food is just soul-crushing on most days. So to have something like this around, a stone's throw from most buildings on the UW, fresh, consistent, flavorful, and balancing between crunchy, spicy, satisfying and wholesome, and always quick, is just bliss. The menu is very limited but there is a vegetarian option and thus might just be the best Bahn Mi-like sandwich in this our town of Madison. Perfectly complemented with a packet of simple Lays I hope this place doesn't go away any time soon and that this review doesn't make it crowded and spoil my fun. He does accept EatStreet orders so you could pre-order rush in from class or work. My favorite is the Vietnamese Meatball but you mostly can't go wrong with any of them.

Food was very good, beautiful atmosphere-love that they're honoring our first responders!, and staff were very accommodating. We arrived 50 minutes before closing and gave our food orders asap and everything came out perfect! Recovering from surgery so staff noticed I had trouble walking and made sure I knew I could exit more easily by the other front door where there's a ramp. Thank you so very much!

Yelp fam! Pops BBQ is a food truck located on 76th and good hope. You can't miss it, it's a big yellow food truck sitting in Andy's gas station. I very much enjoy the ribs here and they sell out quick so if you go I advise you to get there earlier in the day because the lines tend to get long and when they run out.. they run out. Memphis bbq and the sauce is great! I always either get a rib dinner or rib tips. They also have pulled pork, brisket and a few other options. Now the only thing is they don't have a ton of sides and they aren't my fav. But I go here for the wonderful bbq. Also the sides tend to change just a heads up. They are open only on the weekends (thurs- Sunday)Side note.. they do cater but you have to go up to the food truck the day of early in the morning when they are opening and get your order in. We've done that for a couple of birthdays and it was bomb!

"Fantastic eatsThis spot has had some turnover but La chinampa is a great addition to the neighborhood. Staff is super friendly and service is quick. Before dine-in opened they had a truck parked in the lot but it's far better to not hang outside for lunch. I've stopped a few times new and have really enjoyed their offerings. On my first visit I got a torta - it was HUGE. While waiting for my order I noticed a lunch special sign with chilaquiles so I knew I'd be back. The counter guy told me that it was his favorite dish on the menu. Again, the serving side was HUGE and was able to get two meals out of it which is such a bonus. Lots of egg, chicken, and spicy sauce over tortillas. I'm used to it being over chips so this was a nice change."
"Great customer service, everyone was very nice. Small little place with lots of seats to wait, but no tables to eat! Food was great. The menu items that stuck out to our family were the funnel cake fries, pizza puff fries, and Philly cheese dogs. Honorable mention for the gyro fries and steak/shrimp fries. So many fries -- Portions were awesome for the price! Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu (burgers and shakes)! 10/10 recommend!"
"I've had this for lunch at work and this taco truck is probably the best Mexican street food that I've had in Milwaukee. My favorite are the frijoles ATM, they definitely hit the spot. Specially in the cold. I've also had their tacos and their torta al pastor, another star in the menu. This taco truck offers great food and they are open year-round, which is highly appreciated.Best taco truck ever!"
"We've seen this taco truck around for years now, but never remembered to drop by when we're on our way to get a bite to eat. But for the last few weeks, it has been on the forefront of our minds, and boy did they NOT disappoint. Regrets for all those days that ended in "y" that we didn't go here for tacos! It's a simple menu: tacos, quesadillas, tortas, and burritos with your choice of meat (al pastor, cabeza, lengua, pollo, chorizo, tripita, and carne asada). You order by the taco, so I tried al pastor, lengua, and chorizo garnished with onions and cilantro. (You can add lettuce and cheese if you want to gringo/a it up!) The al pastor was moist and flavorful - couldn't really make out a citrus flavor, but your girl was HANGRY so it was a two bite situation! The lengua was so tender, just a little on the greasy side, and the chorizo had great flavor with just the mildest hint of heat. All the tacos came with two types of salsa - green chile one which is quite spicy and a red salsa that seemed arbol chile-based and really tasty. I poured the red salsa all over my tacos. Oh, and let's not forget the surprise caramelized onions and charred jalapeños (not pickled). Can't wait to come back to try the frijoles charros after reading about all the good reviews on it! And I'll try to come back when I'm not so hungry that scarfing down tacos is the only option :D"
"BF and I ran across Las Virellas at a recent event. We couldn't resist the call of spicy crab with tostones. I'm glad we didn't. The service was friendly. The menu for the event was interesting, but we could have used more descriptors on it.Our crab was fresh, creamy and a little spicy at the end. It was served with a side of greens, which also contributed to the lightness and freshness. The tostones were the smashed patty variety and were satisfying and filling.I'll be back based on this visit."
"The ability to make nachos taste light and fresh is worth five stars in and of itself, but the fact the owner is just the sweetest really puts it over the top. My nachos had crispy chips, fresh pico de gallo, shredded white cheese, shredded lettuce, and a mountain of guacamole. They were perfect on a summery afternoon and I most definitely need to make a visit to their brick and mortar store!"
"Honestly, I don't know how I felt about cottage cheese on avocado toast. But the taste was a great combination. The food truck in tosa farmers market had smiling faces and great atmosphere."
"Tried Romeros Taco Truck at my company's food truck day and Boy! did they blow my socks off with their food flavors and delicious ingredients. I got the slow cooked beef Birria with elote (corn in a cup with crumbled cheese) and a refreshing Horchata. This West Allis food truck deserve your love, so go treat yoself at Romeros food truck"
"Their patties are kosher and super tasty! Fries were crispy fresh! I tried the cheeseburger and it was a lot of food for me. I would try it again, so good! They're usually stationed at Burleigh but travel to other places"
"Been to Art's three time since they opened. Wish we lived closer! We've tried the brisket and pulled pork...both were juicy and delicious! We also purchased pulled pork by the pound for a family gathering that we served on small rolls. Everyone raved about them. Highly recommend. Oh, one other thing...the owner, who I presume is Art, and the other employees are super nice and friendly!!"
"I visited Modern Maki over the weekend to take advantage of the sunny weather. I ordered the Crunchy Munchy Roll and the Vegetarian Ramen.I did not use the app to order, so there was something of a wait. That is my only critique really. The truck didn't appear to be terribly busy, but who knows how many delivery orders they were working on.The roll was crunchy, as promised, with a well balanced mix of flavors. Two chopsticks up for this.My ramen was packaged smartly, with the noodles and ingredients separated from the broth so the broth stayed hot and the ingredients wouldn't get soggy. The broth flavor was complex and well developed. It was not as deep as a mushroom base would be, but it was good and flavorful. There were plenty of noodles included to satisfy. I enjoyed this a lot and would certainly go back,"
"This taco truck is a MUST. The food is more than reasonably priced and is of the highest quality. It's fresh and always serviced quickly. The truck is clean and well maintained, and all ingredients are fresh and plentiful. I've had the beef tacos several times and cannot complain about them at all. My most recent visit included a beef burrito and it exceeded my expectations just like all their food items. The service could not be better. The friendly staff goes out of their way to provide a quality meal with top notch quality and fresh ingredients. They have always served the food with a smile and a pleasant demeanor. If you are looking for good food, with quality ingredients and great taste served with cars from a friendly staff this taco truck is a MUST. Go there incr and you will become a loyal customer"
"Located in "The Drive-Thru" on North Ave, this little spot offers great Mexican food truck cuisine. You order at the window of the building (or online) and they cook your meal in the food truck. I like to walk my dog down for their $3 taco Tuesday deal. I love that they offer an expansive birria menu: tacos, enchiladas, even ramen. Everything is ala carte with the options to upgrade to "supreme" with lettuce/ tomato/ sour cream and add rice and beans. Parking can be tight but there is no seating area so you can always order online then pull up to the lot and quickly grab your things. Service staff is always sweet and efficient. It's usually five minutes for my three birria tacos :)"
"I'm pleasantly surprised. Milwaukee isn't a great BBQ city to me. I ordered the brisket and jerk chicken with Mac and cheese and grits. Mac: okBrisket: perfect and loved the sauce. I wanted more sauce. JERK: Seasoned but not Jamaican spicy, small wings but cooked wellGreens: Enjoyed. Good immediately and the next day. Delicious. Will order the brisket and greens again"
"Great Mexican food! Found them at the Sawdust Days in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, but they are based in Milwaukee. All of their options are meat-based but I asked if they could make cheese enchiladas for us and they were able to accommodate. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes, flour tortillas, Queso cheese and red (mild) sauce made it great! Will definitely go back next time we find them either in Milwaukee or Oshkosh."
"This was a HUGE success at our neighborhood get-together. The food truck parked and quickly the smell of wonderful, freshly cooked food filled the air. There was a menu posted and the prices were fantastic (and could have been higher) and the food delicious. The servings were so big that many of us had extra to take home afterward.I highly recommend this business, and if you want a great food truck visit this is one that will not disappoint. We plan to use them again. No one at our party had anything but rave reviews about the food. I wish I had pictures, but the portions were incredible. And the two men in the truck were so nice and worked incredibly hard. Well done!"
"REALLY good! This was a food truck that was at Art History in Geneva - we were actually late but the gentleman that was in the truck stayed late and we were SO glad he did! We tried RIBEYE MACARONI & CHEESE & the BEAT'BOPPIN BBQ RIBS - both were amazing! The meat was so easy to cut I used my plastic spoon! The flavors were so good - not spicy but super flavorful!!"
"Hi, This is Dominic the food reviewer. On Friday night I tried Slo' Motion BBQ Food Trailer & Catering It is a BBQ food truck. They also do catering and parties. Every Thursday it's parked at Soiree Wine Bar which is located at S73W16582 W. Janesville Rd, Muskego for dinner.I got the pleasure to meet the owner Adam and his nephew Nick who helps out on the truck. Adam said he opened Slo Motion in 2019 starting with just pop ups, and added the truck in June, 2020. Adam was a corrections officer with the state of Wisconsin and he decided to leave that in September, 2019 to follow his passion. Adam said God is at the center of everything for them, and he has eight kids, and his wife is a nurse, so he's always busy. All the food they make at the truck is made from scratch including the chips, hand cut fries, sauces and rubs. He has three BBQ sauces that he makes that are called the crabby apple, I94 and the Dairyland Inferno. I tried the crabby apple flavored sauce which was a sweeter type of sauce. That sauce I would definitely highly recommend trying if you love bbq. I also tried Dairyland inferno and it had some good kick to it, but I love spicy foods so it was good for me.For dinner I had a BBQ feast. I had a bunch of varieties of different kinds of BBQ to try. First I tried some beef brisket, which was so tender and delicious. Then a BBQ sundae which had mac & cheese choice of meat and choice of sauce, then I had cheese curds, and creamy coleslaw. I also tried some of my dads loaded fries, which are hand cut fries, queso, choice of meat and choice of sauce. I thought the bbq sundae was mixed well with the cheesy mac & cheese in it with the tender meat, and the sauce also. My mom tried the bbq chicken sandwich and she enjoyed it very much she said. I also got to sample some of their homemade chips. I thought their homemade chips were nice and crispy and freshly warm. To finish I tried the coleslaw. All the food was so great, and I loved my bbq feast here. I would definitely try all this food again. Those curds were so awesome too.I would definitely go back here because the owner Adam was very welcoming and friendly, and all the food was home made and tasty."
"Karol's Kitchen food truck came to my apartment location on Brewers Hill; very timely as it turned out, because I'd invited my G'Daughter, her husband, and G'G'Son for dinner. The portions were large and delicious. Among us we had BBQ wings, pork chops, catfish (crispy outside with cornmeal coating), yams, greens (fabulous!!) with bits of meat, cornbread and Mac'n cheese, I've lived in Tennessee, Georgia, and Wash DC, plus the South Shore area of Chicago (WAY BACK). I go for soul food when and where I can find it. Mmmmm.... bullseye."
