"First time here won't be the last!! I have been wanting to try Crank Al's for so long and today I finally got a chance. Let's start with the atmosphere. This bakery is SPOTLESS. I mean we are talking clean. I also check restrooms as well when I go to restaurants and this was also GLEAMING. Next service. ALL of the employees were helpful, pleasant, and had a friendly demeanor. You could instantly tell they actually WANTED to be there. They were more than happy to suggest donuts but were not pushy or overbearing. Now the most important part. The donuts! These are by far the best donuts I've ever had. They were fresh and large. No short cuts here folks these donuts are AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a clean, super friendly local bakery with fresh baked goods that at extremely fair prices do yourself a favor and make CRANKY Al's YOUR hometown bakery"
"Donut Squad! I was roped in by the FB posts showing a glass case filled with what looked to be delectable donuts. What I got was a half dozen donuts that were glazed in sugar, cereal and candy. If this is what you want then eh, go for it. I personally expected a bit more flair and styles of donuts that weren't just the "glazed" donut type. Donut Squad isn't bad just not quite my cup of tea if I'm going to eat some sugary snacks! Also, the Eastside location isn't the cleanest looking. Again, FB showed this pristine display behind squeaky clean glass. Far from that, the glass case appeared smudged and it just felt not so appealing a place to walk into. With so many true donut shop options out there, I'll take a pass on the Squad next time and go elsewhere."
"I just ate my first roasted pecan Kringle. Life changing. They should sell them in Illinois cannabis shops ... they'd make a killing!"
"Usually don't review bakeries/coffee shops but this place was truly great! The girl who took my order was super sweet and helped recommend her favorite items as well as the most popular. All the donuts looked fresh and delicious. My friend and I ended up getting 4 and they all were phenomenal. I even got a black coffee to balance out the sweetness which was p good.I didn't really pay attention to prices because I assumed 4 donuts and a coffee would be around 15-20 dollars but when she told me $8 I was shook. I live in a major city so coming to Madison for the weekend has been a great budget trip and I will deff come back here in the morning for a sweet treat again (Yes, the Apple fritters were bigger than our heads but no I didn't get one...wish I did)"
"Food and service this is a real deal small town family owned bakery. The coffee is excellent and the pastries likewise"
"Nice place. The ambience is very chill, relaxing. They off a jenga game to play while sip on your drink or eat your donuts. The service is great and quick."

Come here for the CRONUT experience. You will not be sorry you did! What is a cronut you ask? It's the best of a croissant (moist, luscious layers) crossed with a sky-high raised donut. Cronuts. Are. EPIC. Is it draped with heavy frosting? NO. Is it rolled in candy or cereal? NO. Is is stuffed with anything? NO.It is just layers and layers of delicious, delicate pastry enrobed in a light icing. Not too sweet, and just the perfect donut!

Best Donuts in Milwaukee! Convenient location downtown right across from Ian's Pizza/Mad Chicken. Very small hole in the wall business but nothing compares to the flavors and designs of Squad's donuts! A group of 5 of us came to Squad's earlier today and got a dozen donuts, plus 3 more on the house because the nice lady running the shop enjoy our group so much! My favorite is the Fruity Pebble one! I will have to come by again, and I am certainly recommending this spot to my friends and all donut lovers!! I also super appreciate the lady who took our order today! She was very kind and certainly just as sweet as her treats!

Donuts..what more can I say? I had a glazed donut, but I wasn't sure if I should get a sugar glazed donut. The service was good, but I felt a little rushed because there were people coming in behind us. I loved the tree painting and thought it was great decor.I would go back if I was in the area again.

The assortment was great, lots of delicious pastries to choose from. The donut my wife had was great, and the Nutella bear claw was gone in seconds! Strawberry cake wasn't anything special, but still good.Had them make a peppermint hot cocoa that was perfect for the cold weather!

Really got nothing to complain about. For the donuts, the texture is chewy and nice and the mouthfeel is not greasy at all. They add flavors to the toppings vs. some fancier shops incorporate the flavors into the dough. The matcha one which I was really looking forward to tasted more on the sweet side and actually like chocolate - sth that you could adjust your expectations if you are looking for strong matcha flavor. The raspberry one is really good! The oolong milk tea with lychee jelly really surprised us. We got 0% sugar and the drink tasted exactly what we always like for our milk tea: rich tea flavor that mixed well with the milk, smooth and refreshing. The lychee jelly was also very refreshing and not overly sweet. We will be back to try other items in the menu! We have heard there is usually 30-45 min wait for the rice dogs... Looking forward to croffles that have become a trendy thing from Asian and YouTube vloggers in recent years.

Donut pass them upI've been watching their pop-ups all summer but never got a chance to stop. On a recent Saturday I set my alarm to make the trek, because if you sleep in you miss out. I got a sampling of donuts for the fam, and a breakfast sandwich to enjoy post-run with the pup. While Donut Monster is no way convenient for me, I'll definitely go out of my way to stop again. Even though I arrived just after opening, there was already quite a line formed but it no moved quickly. I didn't feel rushed picking the donuts, and had to wait only a few min for the sandwich order. The donuts themselves were of goood quality, not the best I've ever had, but best in town. The breakfast sandwich was perfectly done. I stay away from carbs for the most part but the muffins are too good to pas up on.

The doughnuts on this shop were very colorful, so it was difficult to choose. The shop reminded me of an old-fashioned doughnut shop, with delicious doughnuts displayed. The prices were reasonable. I purchased 5 doughnuts for about five dollars. When I got into the car and opened the bag of doughnuts, the aroma of the doughnuts were tempting and I could not resist eating one. My favorite was the Boston cream doughnut, which had creamy chocolate frosting and delicious filling inside. The doughnut itself was delicious.

"Oh my goodness. There's a reason why there are lines out the door to this place. Donuts are expensive. But well worth it. - I don't like coconut, but the coconut cream donut still killed it for me. - Can't say that their fritter was my favorite, though their most expensive item. It was more like a dessert pie than a donut. - chocolate ring - so scrumptious. even a bit crunchy. I gotta stop. They were all good. I'm getting hungry for more and it's 3am. I left the donuts on my counter in an air conditioned home overnight, but the cream went bad the next morning. Guess there are no preservatives in these donuts!! I'm fine with that!"
"Still so good! For those of you wondering about price, it's about $0.64 for 1 donut, and 10 cents more if you want speciality donuts, 20 cents more if you want muffins. Everything is under $1! Half dozen donuts are $3.50. And their donut holes are $0.19 a piece!(These prices may be off by a couple of cents and are subject to change as time progresses, fyi)."
"We pass by Mochinut every time we go to Bayshore and we always drool at the sight of it, vowing to come back. Well, that day finally came! We came for a donut snack on a Saturday afternoon and it was definitely popular. There was a short line, which wasn't too bad of a wait at all. It looked like the donuts were very popular as most of them were missing, but were being replaced quickly with warm fresh ones. We opted to wait for one of these because I really wanted to try the Choco-Nana Granola donut. We also got an all-cheese hot Cheeto corndog because sweet and savory go great together! The wait for the food was probably around 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad at all. We picked a table outside as the indoor tables were all already taken. There is also a cute Instagrammable couch corner inside, but I'm sure that's always a favorite pick and usually very busy. The donut was FANTASTIC. It was light, fluffy, chewy, and so yummy. It had chocolate, banana, granola, and all great things. My only gripe is that it just feels too small for the price point. But as far as donuts go, this is very high up there and I would very gladly eat these over and over. The cheese dog was also similarly tasty. It was cheesy and crispy and paired really nicely with the sriracha mayo we opted for.Overall, a very yummy snack and well-kept place, but the price is the only deterring factor."
"Excellent bakery and some awesome people here. They were absolutely great and make so many just amazing goodies. This has to be your go to bakery!"
"This is possibly the worst place for my diet! All the baked good looked delicious and I can't believe I haven't been here until now. After driving past a paczki sign for a week - I made a a point to stop here on fat Tuesday to pick up some treats for the office. I am so glad I did. It was a full blown out Fat Tuesday party in the bakery with mardi gras decor, beads and an accordion player! Right way to set the mood for the lent season. I ordered a dozen on paczki - half cherry and half prune. The paczkis were so doughy and had plenty of filling. They were a big hit at the office and were the first ones gone. Some of my other co-workers brought paczkis from the grocery store or other bakeries and mine were the first ones gone - so based on this, I think we all agreed National bakery ones were the best.I can't wait to come back and try out the other baked goods."
"Found this bakery coming out of orthopedics and assoc. with my brother driving. He mentioned he'd stop here as a teenager (70's) after work every evening. They have delicious bread and pastries. The reason for 4* is the prices for individual pastries; they can be over $2.00 - $2.50 a piece and I find that to be a bit high. Doesn't stop me though, just can't buy a dozen at a time!"
"I would give 5 stars if I was reviewing their sour cream donuts. If you love cake-y donuts, the sour cream ones are absolutely the best I have had around this area. I usually get the half dozen box for $5.99 and fill up on mostly those! Other than that, I'd also recommend the cream cheese and apple dutch donuts if you're into filling donuts. These are one of a kind!Other than that, they sell other breakfast foods, sandwiches, croissants, milk etc. but I've never bought anything other than donuts here. The reason I'm giving three stars is because the last time I was in, there was a customer in front of me who wasn't wearing a mask, even though it's mandated. I wish the store was better about COVID protocols and enforcing them."
"I recently went to this new establishment. The staff was friendly. I got a package to go of 10 Jelly Filled Munchkins. I also got a iced coffee. The coffee was good. The Munchkins not so much...very dry and only 1 out of the 10 had right amount of jelly filling. Most had zero jelly in them. You could see hole in side and red from jelly on outside. I would not recommend these munchkins and I will not be purchasing again."
