"Famous for its garbage plate, and being in Kenosha downtown for almost 100 years (opened back in 1926), Frank's Diner is definitely a great place and a home place for a lot of people.As someone who moved just to Kenosha last year, we have been trying to get in for a long time. The space is small, I mean very small, it is an old food truck/railcar kinda style, there are bar area and booth area. Expect a wait if you come on weekends. (As the sign in the diner says, the inner deco was legit haha)We came in Tuesday around noon and were able to sit right away at the bar, right opposite the stove and grill lol. It was quite a show watching the cook cook while we wait for our food, and I loved seeing it. Just a very local and family feeling.We had great food! The specials (Irish sausage and gravy, corned beef omelette) were tasty and the meat omelette was next level. The pancake is huge, and delicious for sure. The food is also priced well!Overall, nice experience, and we will come back again and hopefully also no wait next time!"

"I now have 254 (and counting) checkins at NAG, for good reason. You might ask "what are those reasons? What makes you come here at least once a week?"* The people - it starts at the top with ana owner Mike, because he hires only kind people, most of whom have been here for years. We're here enough that the delightful servers pretty much know what we're getting. They're all completely great & the #1 reason we come here because they treat us like family. * The food - I get the same thing every time (pretty much) and the consistency and deliciousness is ON POINT. The mister changes it up - sometimes a creative special, sometimes breakfast, sometimes a decadent Peppercorn Horsey burger. No matter what we get, it's delicious, well executed and served up fast!* The Space - this is one of the few places I feel good about dining in during These Unprecedented Times (god I hate that phrase almost as much as I hate 2020). Slide into the big oversized booths with high partitions and the Covid can't get you. I see the care that's taken with cleaning too so I trust that I'm as safe as I can be here. Bottom line - 2020 has been awful and NAG is my safe & happy place. Big thanks to all the workers here who consistently make me tasty food and are so nice!"

"This is a nice, clean location to meet up for a little breakfast or lunch. The menu has a nice variety of items so you can be sure everyone will be able to have something they like. The old-timey decor is a cool throwback that I really enjoyed.The food is good. Since we were there for breakfast, I dove head-first into the carnivore ("meat lovers") omelette. More of a concern than a complement - there was actually too much meat! I didn't expect that... it was fine, but the meat was overpowering and it no longer felt like an egg dish. Next time, I'll dial it back with a more basic omelette (or just fried eggs or something).Staff were very friendly and took great care of my mom (her 80th) birthday. The inside is clean and spacious, so it never got too loud or crazy. Very nice."

"Miss Katie's Diner is a Milwaukee institution and shares ownership with another Milwaukee institution, Pitch's. In fact, Mr. "Pitch" (it's actually short for a longer, Italian name that escapes me). I haven't dined here in many years, but I had plans to go to the public museum and wanted to get breakfast first, so I picked Miss Katie's. I walked in and noticed a fairly busy dining room, so I went to the dining counter, which was pretty much empty, aside from four other customers.I was given a glass of water and a menu right away and asked if I wanted to drink anything else besides water. I placed my order and quickly received a cup of fresh fruit with bite-sized pieces of fresh bakery, which is also made in-house. I ordered the housemade corned beef hash with eggs over easy and white toast. My eggs were over-done by a lot, but there was still a little yolk in them for me to dip my toast in, so I stuck with them. The corned beef was tender and had nice flavor, and the hashbrowns were also tasty. I didn't have to add salt or pepper to my dish, so that is a big plus. Richard, the man behind the counter, checked on me and when he was caught up and a few customers left, he engaged in light and friendly conversation with me. I had a nice experience, overall. Have I had better meals in town? Sure, but supporting places like this makes me happy, and my food tasted good, despite the eggs being overcooked. I still want to come to try lunch or dinner some day."

"I love this little diner!Situated conveniently right next door to Art Bar (in fact, the same owners as Art Bar), Wonderland Diner serves up delicious diner food in an adorably classic diner environment. We stopped by for dinner on a Sunday evening and were able to be seated straight away. Due to their proximity and association with Art Bar, they share Art Bar's cocktail and beer menu. Due to this lucky arrangement, I was able to begin my experience with a negroni. It was basic, big, and tasty. For my dinner, I got the veggie polenta which was absolute cozy comfort food. It was perfect for a cold winter's evening. The service was lovely, and loved at the end of our meal we were able to take our cocktails right on over to Art Bar to continue our evening.Get to it!"

This was a big mistake, not because they weren't the absolute best malted ever, but because each malted was large enough for 2-4 people. Seriously. We had a to-go cup. . They make the malted, serve it in a glass and then give you the container they mixed it in with all the extras. Bless them!I just have to say our waitress was distracted. Ok, not very attentive, maybe ready for her shift to be over? My husband ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with a side of sausage. I ordered the crispy chicken ranch wrap with fries and a side of ranch dressing.Our orders came out and were dumped on the table and the waitress disappeared and never checked in. This would be ok except no side of sausage and no ranch dressing. A ranch wrap without ranch dressing is depressing. I also like to dip my fries in ranch dressing. I couldn't flag the waitress because she was MIA. So less than stellar experience. . When the check was brought we voiced our concerns and noted that we didn't receive the sausage, please cancel from order and bring a box for the wrap. They did include ranch dressing with the left over ranch wrap and comped the malts. I would rather have had excellent service and paid for everything . Yes, we will give this another try as I love diners. Fingers crossed for a better experience."

"I have been tryin to get in here for a while now but the hours are weird, I forget about them or I drive past when they are closed and it never worked out until today. The place is in what looks like a dead mall with a TV station and nothing to look at from the outside but the inside is really neat with a bar, comfy puffy chairs, tables. TVs, pictures and kitsch everywhere with exposed brick and ceiling. The guy working the kitchen is super friendly with his customers and keeps you updated on your order while he is making the orders before me. The turnover case is filled with ridiculous huge pastries.For a deli I hated the menu because it didn't have a lot of sandwich options and it had Mexican and middle eastern options with breakfast and no Italian sandwich option. I opted for the most pricy sandwich which is the club which I thought was pricy thinking of previous clubs that I have had. I don't do club sandwiches very often but it's all I liked on the menu and I do occasionally order them.OMG this is a Fu%#ing monster master piece club sandwich like I have never had the pleasure of being introduced to before and it's epic in it's raw form. The club was fu%#ing delicious on bakery toasted fresh white bread with thick sliced ham and turkey, tomato, lettuce, cheese, bacon and mayo. OK I see why it's $10 because it's not the typical whimpy club sandwich because it's more like a gourmet club with quality fresh toppings and meats and no skimping on anything. The cold fresh toppings were very refreshing on a hot summer day. Did I mention that's it's piled high with the container barely able to close and you need to be a snake and unhinge your jaw to eat it but it's well worth getting. I have never had a club sandwich executed so well above the average and it definitely shines.This is the best club sandwich that I have ever had and it's playing at a level that few can compete with because they don't try, passion and vision is behind this sandwich and it shows. I'm definitely making this place my go to place to get a club sandwich. Nice job.I don't give 5 stars that often on my reviews if you follow me and my reviews because I feel that a 5 star is only worthy when I get blown away with an experience so the highest star is not given lightly, today Gus deli entered my 10% club and they earned it, see my pictures."

Service was a little slow but places are short staffed and I was not in a hurry.I got the chicken noodle soup and I LOVE tons of noodles and that was the case. Also got the burger which was okay but the bun was so much bigger than the burger I had to laugh. I did the proper "de-bunning" and moved on from there.It's a nice throwback and if I'm in the area again I will get the Monte Cristo and see where that lands."

But the beer and food are excellent, and the bartender is very friendly. We had Alaskan Amber Ale, which is very tasty. And we ordered an 8 piece broasted chicken, which is SOOOO tender and crispy. It's cooked in an oil pressure cooker, which we had never heard of. But it does an awesome job, and they use it for pork chops and chicken wings too. Needless to say we have leftovers waiting for us tomorrow! And we'll be back the next time we visit Silver Lake."

"Second time visiting Donnie's - while i typically enjoy Popeyes Chicken... Donnie's offers boasted chicken. Boasting is basically frying the chicken under a high pressure. The chicken here is moist, crispy and flavourful. Poppers and potato wedges were darn good as well.They also have a bar and a few slot machines. Friendly staff too. Hope they make it!Only way to get into this place is to be traveling northbound on Rt. 41... And leaving tou have to go north... So that can be a hassle."
