"First time here won't be the last!! I have been wanting to try Crank Al's for so long and today I finally got a chance. Let's start with the atmosphere. This bakery is SPOTLESS. I mean we are talking clean. I also check restrooms as well when I go to restaurants and this was also GLEAMING. Next service. ALL of the employees were helpful, pleasant, and had a friendly demeanor. You could instantly tell they actually WANTED to be there. They were more than happy to suggest donuts but were not pushy or overbearing. Now the most important part. The donuts! These are by far the best donuts I've ever had. They were fresh and large. No short cuts here folks these donuts are AMAZING!!! If you are looking for a clean, super friendly local bakery with fresh baked goods that at extremely fair prices do yourself a favor and make CRANKY Al's YOUR hometown bakery"
"Stopped by Rocket Baby Bakery recently for some coffee and breakfast and they're great for both!I got their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. It comes on a fresh baked ciabatta roll and comes topped with their house made melty cheese. It was divine. My dining companion ordered one of their vegetable goat cheese pastries. I had a bite and it was good (the lamination was perfection) but I would have definitely preferred it warmed. For my coffee, I got one of their specialty mochas. I got their almond joy mocha, which was a bit sweet for me (I mean, that was my bad--I should have known by the title). I'm excited to get one of their lattes next time. The service is lovely. They have a small seating area but in warmer months, they have an expansive patio. I'm looking forward to returning in pleasant weather!Get to it!"

"Bright and cozy restaurant with limited tables. It was already busy when we entered early this morning and so we sat at the bar. We split some croissant beignets which came out hot and lightly sugar-dusted, with a crisp outer shell and chewy inside. These were nice and we dipped them in raspberry sauce. My biscuits and gravy Benedict was the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. A soft biscuit topped with a crisp tender sausage patty, perfectly poached egg and covered in delicious thick spicy gravy loaded with sausage chunks. This is the biscuits and gravy I'm looking for. It came with a side so I added on a berrylicious pancake (additional charge for pancake of the month) which was good, with a dollop of sweetened sauce and fresh berries. My companions enjoyed an egg breakfast with crisp hash browns, and a pretty avocado toast with a softball sized- burrata. The wait staff was very nice and the restaurant soon filled with lines of hungry people and they started a wait list. We enjoyed our breakfast and definitely would return! Also -- I checked in on Yelp and you can get a mimosa."
"Great setting. Attentive staff. Outstanding product. Pastry, coffee, tasty stuff. Highly recommended"
"I love that they offer a small portion option of Eggs Benedict for seniors and junior. The Eggs Benedict was excellent."
"I dined in breakfast after 12 on a weekend. I specifically choose lunch time to avoid crowd. I got a seat right away. Lot of folks were working on laptops. The place was hip. Food was excellent. Portion size was smaller though.B-Fast roast beef sandwich was my favorite item. Grainbowl with avocado was a good one as well. Toast peanut butter was my other item. Both the jam and the chunky peanut butter was of good quality. I tried their special drink - golden milk latte - which was turmeric, ginger and tea latte. It was good, but I prefer a normal latte."
"Another great cake from The Gingerbread House! This is my go to spot for custom orders. The Barbie cake purchased in March of 2024 was absolutely stunning and delicious!"
"My second trip to Allie Boy's was even better than the first. My dining companion opted for another bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel, while I went for an iced matcha latte with almond milk and chocolate babka. The quality of everything we ordered was outstanding. My remarks about the bagel sandwich from my previous review still stand, and the chocolate babka was tender and decadent without being overly sweet. The matcha latte isn't quite coffee house quality, but it was still refreshing with a touch of sweetness to nicely balance the earthy taste typical of matcha. Service was quicker this time around. Our order was ready within just a few minutes. It was a little crowded in there (still not a place I'd hang around to try to get work done), but we found a comfortable spot by the windows again. If you're looking for a quality breakfast sandwich and a solid pastry, definitely give Allie Boy's a try."
"I've been eating at this restaurant when family comes into town for the past two years. I'm overdue to review. This restaurant is always excellent, super clean and their service is second to none. The owner/manager is friendly and kind to customers. She makes sure people are seated quickly and feel valued. This past weekend I ordered the fresh basil, pine nut and goat cheese omelette; it was the best omelette I've ever had! The owner came over and asked how the food was, I told her how much I loved the omelette and she shared it was a favorite of hers as well. She also had us try her cheesecake, I think with a lime topping. It was delicious! Definitely the best breakfast in the area, reasonably priced and service is awesome!"
"I've been to Orenda a handful of times. One of the things I like about this place is how early they open. The service wasn't great during our last visit but I'm hoping it was a fluke. We had to ask a few times for the water we ordered, the table behind us requested a damp cloth to clean up a sticky spot on the table and it took several minutes for their server to return. There were only three tables there. The food was perfect. I've always enjoyed the food here. The green eggs and ham omelette was delicious. The hash browns were perfectly crisp. We'll return because I do think the server was just having an off day but we'll see."
"What a beautiful coffee shop! I came here to do some work and meet up with some friends. I arrived first so I ordered the cold Caramel Roll Latte with Barriques Forge Espresso, steamed oat milk, caramel & vanilla. I'm not a huge coffee drinker this drink was really good. I've had it hot and cold and they are both really good. i will be back again."
"Lovely country style breakfast with friendly ambience and great service. I definitely recommend this restaurant"

Come here for the CRONUT experience. You will not be sorry you did! What is a cronut you ask? It's the best of a croissant (moist, luscious layers) crossed with a sky-high raised donut. Cronuts. Are. EPIC. Is it draped with heavy frosting? NO. Is it rolled in candy or cereal? NO. Is is stuffed with anything? NO.It is just layers and layers of delicious, delicate pastry enrobed in a light icing. Not too sweet, and just the perfect donut!

My best friend recommended I try Rocket Baby Bakery, a small bakery in Tosa. I loved it! It was my first time going and it did not disappoint. When I arrived there were a lot of people inside which is when I knew their food and coffee would be good. I ordered a Caramel Macchiato and a Chocolate Croissant. I love coffee and trying new cafes especially when I travel. Therefore I can honestly say this was the best Caramel Macchiato I've ever tried. The bakery had lots of widows but only about three tables.I had my croissant and coffee while talking to a friend and doing some work. All this to say I had time to observe the bakery and its staff. I had a pleasant experience with the staff when I interacted with them. However, another customer had issues with his order, he ordered a sandwich on his lunch break and arrived around the same time I did. As people ordered and left a staff member asked if he had received his food which he replied with an attitude no, he explained his frustration and how others came and went with their orders. The staff was extremely apologetic and informed him that his order was taken by another customer. They offered a pastry on the house for the inconvenience and with attitude he did not accept. They made his meal fast and gave him a few free bags of chips. All this to say the staff handled the customer and the situation respectfully and with lots of patience.

We're here for a quick bite to eat with the family for brunch. It was a beautiful atmosphere. It wasn't a lot of people working so it took us a while to have a seat but when we sat down quick to wait on us appetizers, but they were nice to us they came after. Do not recommend the peas cause there was no powdered sugar on it whatsoever, all the food was really seasoned to perfection. My mom never got her meal either. I still gave it a five because the food was good and it was a really nice atmosphere mistakes happen. I'm not gonna fault the business for it.

Love this place. Not sure why you changed the aesthetic of the place though (firewood) it had a warm ambience. Only thing I'd suggest is drinks that are served hot or cold to put a H or C or H/C on the board.

Great first visit this past Sunday. With the Old Fashioned closed on Sundays, I scrambled to Yelp to find us an alternate and this place did not disappoint. Conveniently located down the street from our hotel and in a very cute area, is the Johnson Public House. Walked into a moderately-filled space with at least a dozen tables or so. A few tables outside. Some folks were in and out and others were there spending their morning inside, reading the paper, etc. The menu is somewhat limited, but something for everyone. I decided on the Sunday morning breakfast sandwich which was fantastic. A fried egg, grilled ham, cheddar, on a muffin that was slightly soaked in Maple syrup. The salty to sweetness balance was perfection. My wife had the french toast bread pudding and it was decent. Sorta boring after the initial bites. Small amount of strawberries added. Needed a bunch of maple syrup. They had some scones, Level 5 vegan donuts and maybe on more item at the front counter.Didn't get adventurous on the drink order, just their standard drip coffee and it was quite flavorful and not bitter at all. Not the darkest cup of coffee, but way better than your standard diner brew. Service was friendly and you order everything at the counter and they hand you a number and bring the food right to your table. A bussing station is right there for you to dispose of your own items when finished. Recommend highly.

This restaurant is such a cute spot. We visited on December 21, 2024 and that place was super busy, plus we were told Santa was coming to visit that day as well. We called ahead of time to get the wait time and was told 15-20 minutes, but they got super busy on our hour travel and the wait was a little longer. Upon arriving we was just how beautifully the outside and inside was decorated. There were decorations all around the outside both in the lawn and on the buildings. The main building has a wrap around deck. You walk up the stairs onto the deck and then in one door which could be a waiting area that really is inviting. Then the next door has a small seating area for waiting on the left and on the right is the hostess area. Looking straight ahead is an open area that is open. There is also seating around the corner to the left straight ahead. To the right past the hostess station is the baked goodies and boy do they all look delicious! There is also seating upstairs and a cute little store. I went to check in and didn't happen the first time, in fact the guy that was standing there said he was not worried about me getting on the wait list only about everyone knowing that they were serving lunch at that point not breakfast. Not an ideal way to address the request. I then mentioned the list again and the young lady added me. We had been speaking with Tracy about our travel and calling ahead and she was so kind and helpful and told us about the history and I hope I am not incorrect when I say she said the restaurant has been open 17 years. (I can certainly see why!) When our table was ready she was quick to say we were not getting that table as my hubby is a little on the bigger side and she wanted us to really enjoy our experience as it was our first. We were seated upstairs at a table in a perfect spot. Our server was Bella and she truly had such a great attitude and was very knowledgeable. Her whole demeanor was kind and attentive. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with wedge fries, the Farmhouse Special with wedge fries and grilled Italian bread and the Cinnamon French Toast to-go. We also ordered a large cookie for my daughter in which Bella packed so nicely. The ham on the eggs benedict was so tender and tasteful. The sausage was cooked to perfection and the garlic bread was a perfect touch. The cinnamon French toast must have been delicious as well as it was gone before we got home. We didn't get utensils, but my girl just ripped and Dipped lol. Almost inhaling. I asked what the owners name was because she did allow us to order from the breakfast menu, she was genuinely kind and very handsome on with her business. Most of all I mentioned to one of the staff she seemed like a good owner to work for and without hesitation she agreed and said that Tracy is very good to her staff. That alone speaks volumes. Do appreciate your attentiveness to our visit and what we were in need of! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for so many reasons.

I thought I already wrote a review because I knew I loved them after the first time there. I hadn't been to NYC yet and my bestie took me here for lunch. She said, they are just as good, probably better than any bagel place in New York. We both got pastrami on rye bagels and holy shit was it so good. Not only do I love sandwiches but I also love bagels. And brining those two together was perfection. They have amazing toppings, great specials, and delicious cream cheeses. Since then I have ordered a few times to go. I have never eaten inside however I have been in there. Seating is limited but I think people get a lot of to goes anyways. They have two locations now, I have yet to go to the farwell location so that one could be bigger! Service is fast and friendly. And after visiting NYC this past month, I can say, for myself anyway, that Allie Boy's is better than any bagel I had in NYC. We had bagels every day and tried the hot spots and waited in long lines for bagels. Allie Boy's really knocks it out of the park. I'm taking two of the NYC girls trip tomorrow and I can't wait to see them fall in love!

"Great food! We had buttermilk pancakes, chicken and waffles and the back toBed breakfast sandwich. Very tasty and delicious. Bacon was cooked perfectly as was the sausage."
"Super cool vibe, great coffee, very reasonable prices. Ton of drink choices, including teas, coffees, cordials and cocktails."
"Food was bangin dirty style swag type. I ordered the Banging Breakfast Burger, probably rate that sucker a cool 9/10. Listen, iI've eaten many a burger before. It is rare that a burger makes me really reflect on all burgers prior, but listen, this burger made me sad that I have never experienced something quite this delectable before. The chipotle chicken wrap was also busting hard, very very good also a fat 9/10. Smoothie was mid, but would bust it down here again.*After Eating*The food was so good, I got a little distracted and took a bite out of the plate."
"Lovely Colectivo, a little reminiscent of the original location on Lake Dr, with a dining area upstairs with an open view of the lower level. The bakery (Troubadour) is also located inside, with glass window dividers for a clear view of all the goings on inside. Bakery items kept coming out (around 1pm) and getting refilled. It smelled so good and they were so tempting! Keto blues....Anyway, not all Colectivo locations are all great. But this one was good. Servers were nice. Coffee was as expected. Atmosphere was stellar!"
"I needed a cozy place to read my book while during our son's. practice at Antioch High School. I found this hidden gem right across the high school with good service and good food. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good cup of coffee or tea."
"Came here on a recent Saturday morning for coffee and a bite. It's a small space and gets very busy. When were were there, there wasn't a single table or seat to be had. No biggie as we just took our coffee and bites to go but something to be mindful of if you're in a group.Their espresso is smooth, clean, robust, and flavorful. I ordered their avo toast which came with a fried egg on top and lightly dressed greens on the side. It was terrific. The bread was rustic and hearty and the dressing on the greens was light and lemony. The service was friendly--they were definitely working hard to get everyone their coffee and bites!Get to it!"
"Listen. There are so many good coffee shops in Milwaukee. And, Roast is absolutely on the list with the greats. We've been meaning to try this spot for a while and finally made our way here on a recent Saturday morning. So glad we did.Their espresso beverages? Spot on perfect. I got their harvest latte, which puts pumpkin spiced lattes to shame. It was a beautifully flavorful spiced delight. Their breakfast sandwiches?Also--spot on.They have several on menu. I got one that mentioned having mustard on it. Weird, I thought. But, I'll give it a whirl. It was perfect. There's plenty of tables and a bar by the windows. It would be a great spot to meet some friends or to work alone. Or, in our case, to enjoy a game of Saturday morning cribbage over a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. If you haven't yet--take the time to make your way here. You won't regret it.Get to it!"
"The veggie egg bake is heavenly!!! A must! Love the live music on Thursday night, my aunt and I had so much fun."
"Is La Finca still a 5 star coffee house? Yes.They keep doing what they're doing and they do it well as is evidenced by the fact that they've definitely become busier over the years, which is great to see.I popped in recently for coquito latte which is a creamy coconutty dream with a lovely hint of nutmeg. It's a sweet indulgence and I enjoyed every sip. I love the quirky crockery they serve their coffee in. It makes the in-house coffee sipping experience all the more charming. For my breakfast, I got an egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich with avocado added. I love that they put their own flare on dishes so that even if you're having a basic breakfast sandwich, it's distinctly La Finca with it's slightly smoky spiciness of having chipotle aioli added to it. It comes with your choice of fruit or potatoes. I've done both and enjoyed both. The service is always absolutely lovely and the prices are reasonable.Get to it!"
"Large, welcoming coffee shop that serves a variety of breakfast sandwiches, lunch items and of course great coffee! I has a great breakfast sandwich on a bagel. A REAL bagel - you know them when you taste them! I also had a very good iced coffee.Relaxing environment with lots of art and interesting architectural elements like bikes decorating pillars and lots of other vintage elements. Award for best use of vintage doors and windows - used in the counter, stage and as an upstairs partition. On a nice day, sit outside at a table with an umbrella and enjoy the sun and main street.Don't forget to buy some whole bean coffee, sticker, T-shirt, etc on your way out! Cash is preferred here, but plastic is also accepted. Staff were very friendly in this inclusive venue. Service was great! Don't forget to tip the staff! Will be back.RECOMMENDATION: Check their website for their menu items and hours and days open. They close at 3 pm on some days. Open til 8 on Thursdays."
"This is my go to local small coffee shop vibes whenever I want to study or work outside of home. There are so many different treats and eats to choose from. I always have a good time when I come here as it's a great place to meet up with friends. Prices are reasonable and the service is nice. This is a must visit for anyone in the area!"
"Loved this place. The ambience, food, location were all top notch. Recommended to others and they too have already went and loved ."
"New-to-me menu item to share a five-star review : the sweet potato bowl! Loved the combo of flavors and boy was it statiating. Normally this is the type of dish I'd order in the fall given the warmth and ingredients, but it was darn chilly in the coffee shop today (AC on high!) and this just sounded tasty. That it was! Combo of quinoa and farro topped with plentiful sweet potato, kale, pumpkin seeds, cranberries and kale. Plus, a nice drizzle of lemon tahini dressing. I added chicken for some extra protein. And per usual, I had myself a matcha latte as well - both went down a treat!"
"Food and service are great. Hours are wrong on Yelp and website. Should be 7-2:00."
"Good food choices, Mom and Pop type business, good coffee and atmosphere to relax, use your laptop. The only issue I have is that they should add more charging ports and outlets because if it is busy, good luck finding an electrical outlet. Unlike in my generation, you need a battery, and a cord to function nowadays. LOL."
"Adorable little coffee shop. Great location downtown. You can tell the quality of the coffee is excellent. I don't know much about roasting coffee, etc but all I know is having coffee here was the first time I felt like I was having coffee in Seattle again Also the interior is so cute! They have a vending machine for iced coffee-great and adorable. And I love that they have a little patio outside with a doggy dish for water"
"Lovely restaurant, the staff was also great. The lattes were very delicious and the French toast phenomenal"
"Great service on a Saturday. Wish they had a dark roast on tap not just medium. Ordered my own "Red Eye" and added 4 shots of espresso. Well done! Wine selection is absolutely stellar. I love that they have CBD-infused Kombucha! Pure awesomeness! I look forward to trying more CBD coffee drinks in the future! Overall! A very WELLhandled busy Saturday with an enjoyable time because the business had the proper amount of workers to get the service done very smoothly for patrons! Bravo!"
"GREAT cold brew and delicious breakfast. Relaxing atmosphere and really nice staff. Love it here."
"Love them. An all vegan coffeehouse. MF is a Madison institution. Never have I ever had so many delicious vegan baked treats available in one place. SO good, even nonvegans will love them. And they're great to work with for catering too."
"Cute spot in the Vilas neighborhood. Excellent Mediterranean food! I came here for lunch and enjoyed the hummus plate which included a salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, delicious hummus, and amazing pita bread. The pita bread was served warm and was so good. I thought the salad could use some dressing but overall a great lunch. I was there with my parents who both got the gyros salad that they said was great. It's their go-to order. It's easy, order at the counter style restaurant. The food came out efficiently and the staff was friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat out on the patio. They have nice shade covers, flower gardens, etc. It was very pleasant sitting out there. Note, there is no parking lot but lots of street parking available. And bonus, the patio is dog friendly so we had our dogs with us. I will be back!"
"As an avid consumer of breakfast, this was a great spot! This cafe was charming and it's the perfect spot to do work, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy some food and a drink. I got the Bike Shop Breakfast Burrito with a Matcha Latte w/ Oat Milk. The burrito was the best with freshly cooked scrambled eggs and the seasoned rice inside was delicious. I loved it. The matcha latte warmed my soul early in the morning. PS: There was free art by the entrance which we grabbed. Definitely will be finding a home for these."
"We've been getting cakes from bodis for 10 years all have been great! Highly recommend"
