"IVR BAR is a fresh take on ethnic fusion and cocktails. Previously home to the point burger bar, this revamped location is a great new beginning for the spot. They are very well staffed with a pleasant crew. I came in for a late lunch and had boneless wings with Buffalo maharaja sauce. The chicken was done well and I enjoyed the subtle hint of Indian undertones. The provided ranch sauce was also very good and I think made in house! The bar as well appointed with whiskey, wine, and tequila along with some pretty general beers . This certainly would not be considered a beer bar, but more of a cocktail and spirits kind of deal. I am excited to see someone making great use of the space and look forward to returning to try many more things on the fun menu ."
"I was recommended the pizza from a chicagoan now living in the area. He said this pizza was the best, so I had to give it a go. It was excellent! Fresh ingredients and the a super cracker like crust. I too, recommend"
"Pizza was ok. The thin crust was cold when we got it. Didn't like the crust needed more toppings and cheese. Deep dish was better. Could use more spinach and cheese for sure and flavor. It was OK. Wouldn't order again."
"They're doing a lot better! it's consistent business they're figuring it out, which is great.Sometimes I'll get bread sometimes I don't...just like with the drinks."
"A very good fish fry! Drinks are well done! The venue is plain Jane. The staff is nice!"
"The atmosphere alone is a reason to go! Sit on the patio, enjoy the sun and lake breeze! You'll feel like you are in FL sitting right in Okauchee. You'll be surrounded by bright colored tables, chairs, and umbrellas! The service was excellent. Our server was willing to answer any questions and she came back over multiple times to check and make sure that we were doing okay. She was smiling and happy the entire time! For drinks we ordered a kiddie cocktail, patron marg, and another summer drink special that I can not remember :) For an appetizer we ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which are wrapped each day and only served until they run out. They were delicious, but then everything is better with bacon. The dip is a truffle oil and honey mixture that is oh so tasty! I had the Mahi-Mahi sandwich and the fish was really good, but the bun was just okay and overall there was not a ton of flavor. My son ordered the nachos. He said they were very good and the portion size was decent. The wings were ordered by my younger son and he eats them naked. I did try one and they were very good. I would recommend trying them!"
"We went today for the first time. Service was honestly a 5. From phone order through pick up. Very attentive and kind. The food was meh. Chicken wasn't overcooked, but the seasonings are so blah it doesn't make any impact with flavor. We didn't care for the slaw. Again, needed vinegar, sugar, seasoning. It tasted just like plain cabbage. The fries and mushrooms were fine. Not high quality but acceptable. Overall we felt it was lacking flavor. It seems many either love it or hate it. We just thought it was meh. We won't run back soon. But it wasn't terrible. There are just better places for the price."
"Another treasure of Caledonia! We've frequented here for years for both dine-in and take-out and have not been disappointed! The food is great, atmosphere is upbeat and staff is friendly. Our favorite is their wings (bone-in for me, boneless for my hubby). Santos is an amazing person - excellent bar mixologist and conversationalist (even when busy, he remembers to ask about my horses!)!! You will not be disappointed with a drink made by Santos!!"
"My family decided to give the new location of Genoa Pizza a try. I called in the order for take-out. I ordered 3 calzones and they offer various specials depending on the day of the week. We got a free appetizer, which we picked mozzarella sticks. They gave us a pick up time. Everything was hot, fresh and ready to go at the time they told me. The portion was filling and price was reasonable. I would recommend and will order again from them."
"Incredible crunch and salty flavor with a super moist amount of chicken meat inside each breast and wing. Keep the colesaw on ice and it tastes fantastic with the chicken meat when you run out of skin crunch. What a combo. Go here for the best carryout chicken I know in Wisconsin or California.Need a deal? Ask them for a chicken meal deal specials and you'll get everything from soda, fries, colesaw, and lots of chicken all for a great price. These days we skip the excellent fries and head straight for the gold: chicken breasts and wings nothing else.New location seems great and a bit more accessible. Hope these guys hang in there and stay in business for many more decades to come! Don't change the recipe, it's unique and excellent."
"Came in for lunch with my husband and met our painter friend Dennis. Was really impressed with the lunch specials and service at the bar - Krista was very friendly and attentive. Hubbie had Wings and I had chicken salad on greens with soup. Delicious. Brewer day game in and a nice crowd. Everyone got great service and food was delicious. We will be back!"
"I had heard these were the best wings in Milwaukee, and I gotta say they weren't bad at all but definitely wasn't the best I have had. The quality of the wing, being fried/breaded, was probably an 8/10. Pretty good wing! They only have 2 flavors, and the Buffalo tasted sour and was just a cheap hot sauce (6/10). The BBQ wings, however, were pretty good (8/10)! I'm not much of a sauce all over the place once your done kinda guy, but I am not rating them for that but rating them on the saucy style. Overall they were decent and the fries were an 8/10 as well! The service was decent - my food came out quick. Atmosphere wasn't the best, as there were a couple people in there fighting with the staff about their order. Everyone who put in a mobile order that came to pick it I'm waited a really long time, almost like the staff had not even started the food yet until they got there. Honestly, I probably won't be going back, but that doesn't mean it's not your style!"

This is one of the easiest 5 stars I've given out in awhile. This place is fantastic! I'm so happy we gave it a shot. The service was attentive and friendly, from being seated, to served, to being checked on.My wife and I each got two drinks and all of them were excellent. Really nice mixes of ingredients that fused together perfectly. And the food! We got an appetizer and two entrees (and took plenty home). The guacamole chaat was a great spin on the Mexican classic. I was particularly excited to try the butter chicken pizza on naan crust. I've long been on a hunt for butter chicken pizza and found a winner! The lamb biryani was great too. The fusion going on between Italian, Mexican and Indian all works. I'm telling you -- run, do not walk, to this place and give it a try!

Very nice large sports bar with plenty of screens. Both entrees, the Cauliflower chicken salad and the gyro plate were very good. The wait staff was a bit slow for what was not a busy time. But overall a nice experience. We will be back.

I can't speak to their food (and never will now), but they are managed horribly. Placed an online order with them, they confirmed receipt and charged my credit card. Drove the 15 minutes to get there to pick it up and they were closed. This was at 11:15 am and their hours listed online and on the sign at the store said they were open at 10:00 am. Called the store # to see what was going on and nobody answered.Horrible management and waste of my time! My first & last time trying this place.

Oh man. Finally something good near Union grove. We moved here from a bigger city and food haven and have been so sad with food in the area. Safe to say price was stellar and burgers were great. Fries were the best part and no shortage of toppings for the burgers. Will be back again and again. For two burgers, both with fries, extra toppings and soup -- less than 30$. Can't wait to try the Friday fish fry

"Never have had the fish but the chicken is so good! Dip the fried chicken in the hot sauce and it's 10x better. And the French fries are to die for! They are seasoned so well. Also love dipping fries in hot sauce. Would definitely recommend!"
"Chickenlicious. Different than KFC and that other typical fried chicken place. Don't be alarmed of the bullet proof glass between the cashier and seating area..."
"Stoped in after a soccer tournament. Wish we would've came after yesterdays game too...it was that good! I had the mushroom and Swiss burger and love that it was actually fresh mushrooms. Cheese curds were also delish. Hubby had the hottest wings...had to laugh that they wanted to him to try the seasoning first lol But what great customer service to provide! That's what will keep us going back when in the area!"
"Chicken wings are fire!!! Call to order ahead of time. Don't forget the hot sauce and BBQ. Wings are addicting and will keep you coming back for more!"
"My much better half was happy when we passed this chicken and fish place on Capitol.... We were on our way to Church's ( still love them ). We turned around and turned into the scarce parking lot. There are no more than ten spaces available on the otherwise corner lot. The drive-thru is a single lane that also serves as the restaurant's exit. There is a second exit on 26th Street, which would be the "side" entrance and exit. Problematic I'm sure when business picks up on nights and weekend evenings. We went inside and found an employee cleaning the space below the counter where they kept the individual soda cans available for sale with "combo" meals. We decided to order when my "much better half" was satisfied she could eat from the kitchen where cleanliness passed with flying colors. She ordered the three piece fried jack salmon, I ordered the three piece catfish filet... about $21 for both meals. They were boxed in a styrofoam container, both meals had a rubber band securing the container and placed in a plastic bag. It was 15 to 20 minutes drive to home..... Here we go! We arrived home and got ready for dinner. We sat down for the "moment of truth". Most of these places' main entrées are reasonably warm but the fries are like warm or cooling....Not Hook's.....fries were HOT... Catfish was POW!!! Excellent!!! Hot. The fish was still hot to the touch, you bit into the filet and had to stop because the steam from it almost burned you! Eventually, we got to eat. It was excellent. The food is right on. This is what all people ask for, you get it here at Hook's.Well done! The store would get five stars if it weren't for the mediocre location which could put place patron's security in doubt. There is no seating inside except to wait for your food. People generally are very respectful and nice. The place is well lighted. The solid reputation for the quality of food served is true and exact. Food is excellent. Their quality has to be the only reason this place is open. Please check them out. They are great. The place may not be great looking, But they are CLEAN.... the SERVICE is EXCELLENT.... and the food is DELICIOUS!!! I am a very picky person, I was pleasantly surprised! ......you will be also. Just be patient with them. Everything is made to order. So there is a bit of a wait. Especially during the evening and weekend nights. Well done, Hook's.... WELL DONE!!"
"Relatively new restaurant. Friendly service and clean, bright location. Lots of choices. I tried the chicken tenders which were crispy and delicious."
"New country music and bar food restaurant available on Brady Street!Specialty Drinks are varied and delicious. Fried cheese and chicken with hot Nashville sauce are tasty! Been waiting for them to open!"
"Late review - Stopped in for a to go lunch October 29th as I had been curious about this place and read some good reviews. The reviews are correct, it is a small place with 3 tables and the food is delicious and the price for a meal is well under $10 dollars. I ordered the Gyro, and was only expecting the sandwich, but received fries and a soda for $6.95 or so. Awesome value and tasty! Although the fries tasted little like fish as they probably use the same fryer for many things, but they were really good. The menu is vast for such a small place, but I will be trying additional items in the near future."
"We had heard good things about the Friday fish fry and we also saw they had a buffet. We were really surprised to see the fried Cod, popcorn shrimp, and Cajun catfish on the buffet. So what does a cheap foodie do? The Buffet of course. The kids had the pizza. All of the food was very good. You should know that this is a smaller place which works good and bad. We had no problem getting a large group table, but there was a little bit of a wait for the food to refill. The great news was that the food was all fresh. The deserts were really good to. Definitely worth the drive to beautiful Tisch Mills."
"The greatest place! Such a great atmosphere. Best food. Owners are amazing. They have really great events, food specials and drinks. Highly recommend if you are in Whitewater or visiting the area!"
"Hands down the best biscuits and gravy! Definitely homemade. Sandy was great, so friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!"
"Ended up here basically on accident saw they had grilled wings, and wow just amazing. Grilled to perfection and juicy they have many sauces to choose from and it's a great price! I didn't see any reviews on grilled wings so I had to let you grilled wings lovers know!!"
"My first visit. The portions are HUGE. My wife ordered the Beefy Fries...it was easily enough for two hearty eaters. Could easily feed four skinny people. I ordered the onion rings and a Moosa burger. The onion rings were the big thick ones and again my order could have easily feed 2 or three people. I have no review of the Moosa burger as by the time I ate 1/3rd of the onion rings and beefy fries, I was damn full and never even took the time to look at the burger...all the leftovers came home with us. So, I'm back 3 full days later to review my leftovers. I disassembled the burger and then put that and the onion rings into my air fryer for about 7 minutes. The onion rings were almost as good as when they were fresh. The bun toasted up great. The burger(which must be a half pounder) heated through without drying out. This business is worth the drive and the money."
"OMGOODNESS... I took one bite of there chicken and it felt like I was biting into old dirty grease. UNACCEPTABLE. The Catfish is also greasy but seasoned well with TONS OF BONES in the filet! My son, who's 10yrs, gave up trying to eat it, fearing he'd get choked. However he loved the french fries..which were....GREASY also, but good tasting, due to their 'special salt.' I think people will later find out that their heart attacks were not only due to the GREASE but also due to the 'special salt.'"
"The food was delicious and the service was excellent to begin with, but when the restaurant started getting very crowded, they were woefully understaffed. We would go back, but not on Saturday evening again. The place was very nice and there were many different places to sit, including outside on the roof overlooking the street, so that was great."
"What a fun place to go hang out on a Friday night! Lots of friendly people, a very hardworking staff throughout, and some terrific food and beverage make this a great time in a casual - dare I say backwater environment. The appetizers are five stars, no question. Breaded mushrooms were juicy and the cheese curds were crispy and gooey and perfect. The burgers were fine - solid sandwiches but nowhere near the level of the apps - and the $5 Friday night long islands were potent and perfect. A big note: Come to relax. If you're thinking this is going to be a place clicking like a big box brick and mortar - well that's just not the pace here. They keep a tight team running it, so when it's full you'll just need to be patient - and they're clear about that as you walk in. Be patient, be courteous, and you'll be treated like family, just like I was this first time (and far from my last time) at Bootlegger's."
"The lady was so nice that the food could be crap (It is not) and you would still want them to succeed. She was constantly cleaning during the slow times when we were there. We had burger, fried chicken onion rings, flavored frozen lemonade, dessert and went home with a loaded baked potato. It was awesome! We look forward to returning for Italian beef and steak. Ohhh and best onion rings!"
"Chicken was pretty good, well fried but a little light in seasoning. Coleslaw and Rolls were great and service was fast and friendly. Location could use some major sprucing up as the lobby area is not at all inviting and it appears to be intentional as they don't allow eating in there. However, the patio furniture and old sketchy vending machines are just not a good look! Overall not sure if I'd make the trek again but if you're in the area I can see it being in regular rotation."
"This country bar is located about halfway between cottage Grove and lake mills off of highway bb. They have friendly bartenders,a long bar and 25 cent chicken wings on Sundays from ten till two. The bloody Mary had 15 different toppings,a three out of five for taste and a three out of five for value. It was good. I would stop in again."
"Let me begin by saying I love Popeyes when it's good. Two things are extremely disappointing about the Popeyes at this location. First the service is absolutely abysmal most of the time. They run out of chicken constantly, menu board is often nonexistent, and the food itself is totally inconsistent.Secondly, outside of the promotion items, the regular menu prices are outrageous. I understand food costs haver gotten expensive and labor costs have gotten expensive, but they have reached a point when even cooking at home becomes a necessary alternative value wise. Popeyes has crossed the line many dollars back.So if you're looking to eat at Popeyes, I suggest you get any of the specials and avoid the regular menu. And see if you can find a better, more efficient location."
"Good bar fare. I would recommend the wings and tenders. Service is good. Can be busy at times so if you want a quiet place, this may not be for you. Nice lo al clean establishment."
"If anyone knows fish and chicken, it's the north side of Milwaukee. Someone told me Shark's was better than JJ's so I had to see for myself. Went during lunchtime and the food came up in about 8 minutes. Ordered the catfish dinner which came with 4 pieces of catfish, fries, coleslaw and 3 pieces of bread.Catfish- good sized pieces sprinkled with a tasty seasoning that took it up a notch from standard breading. Be careful, I found several bones. Also, some of the fish was soggy in certain parts. Glad they included bread to make it into a sandwich.Fries- thicker cut and had the same seasoning as the fish. Pretty good dipped in the hot sauceColeslaw- small portion size, nothing special You get a good amount of food for a decent price. Need to try JJ's again so I can really compare them!"
"I love this place. There's such a strange charm from finding a small little restaurant in a gas station parking lot sandwiched between a trailer park and a strip club (One that is notable for advertising a free lap dance in exchange for filing your taxes!). Chubby Bubba's specializes in the type of food you would find at a Superbowl party, and they execute it wonderfully. Wings, seasoned breadsticks, pizza, they're all here and they are all done wonderfully. There are many different beers available on tap at the bar, and all drinks are served in a frosty mug. It definitely isn't a high class establishment but there is definitely a sense of casualty and unsophistication that comes from it. I wouldn't feel ashamed or even out of place coming here in sweats and a baggy hoodie, and I love that; sometimes I feel like I just want comfort food without all the hassle. In terms of the environment, it's a pretty barebones place. Parking in the gas station is always plentiful, either on the side or directly in front of Chubby Bubba's. Once inside, you're greeted with the bar directly in front and a number of TVs scattered throughout. There are some casino gaming machines off to the left, which from what I've seen are almost always occupied, and then a TV off to the right manages the jukebox and shows what is currently playing. Bubba himself will oftentimes be out at the bar chatting with regulars, if he's not in the back cooking. The waitress is always extremely attentive and very friendly and helpful, making sure we have enough room at the table and often dragging another table over to hold the pizza. Our glasses are also never empty, which is great (and oftentimes a con even at far nicer places) For food, we almost always start with an order of the bubba stixx (glorified breadsticks) with cheese or garlic seasoning, and then an order of 10 wings split between two flavors. These are a great way to hold over until the pizza is ready. We often order pizzas half and half, and one with the regular and one with the thin crust. It is all delicious! And oftentimes there are generous leftovers, which makes for great snacks later on in the day.My one complaint is probably the bathrooms, which could use some cleaning or just a little renovation. They're single-stall and are definitely the most evident feature that the restaurant is in a gas station complex. All in all, I love this place. I oftentimes miss it and I can't wait to head back and savor in the cheesy, salty goodness that is Chubby Bubba's. It's cheap too, so it is at least worth a shot. What do you have to lose!?P.S. Once I get a big enough group to go there, I really want to try the 28 dollar super pizza. According to the menu, it is an 8 POUND PIZZA and more than anything else I just want to see what a monstrosity such as that must look like."
