"Been meaning to write a review for a while as I have been here many times both in west Allis and at the public market. They have the best bloodys in Milwaukee or possibly the the world. Be prepared to have a small meal attached to it (the special ones at least). And of course a beer chaser. Depending on which location you go to both are inviting. Obviously there is less space at the public market so if you don't mind other people, this is a cool spot and you can check out other places while you're at it. If you go to the west Allis location, there's a good amount of seating inside and outside but does fill up quickly. If you're on a wait, go check out Betcher meats next door. That's another review for another day. I've had the poutine, some breakfast sandwiches and the hotdog. All of them are ridiculously good. This food is rich and very filling. You're not coming here for a light meal. That being said, if you're looking for Milwaukee food. This place is a stable of what Milwaukee is all about. The drinks, the sausage, the cheese! Everyone is friendly. Willing to help and they don't waste time. Space is limited at the market but they somehow work their magic and never lose their cool! I bring out of town guest here and it's ALWAYS a highlight! Love this place, 10/10."
"Weiners and Cheese are usually a bad mix, but not here at the Brat Stop! Brat in this case is short for Bratwurst, and they have a nice selection. I figured I'd try the Sausage Party (actual name) which was 1/4 of 7 different types of sausages. I felt like a Cannibalistic Snow White eating a part of each Dwarf. I wish the sausages in the sampler were labeled as I was only 100% sure on the Jalapeño Cheddar sausage, which was spicy! I think I had the garlic one identified too, but it could have been the cajun one. I'm not a sausage sommelier (yet) so apologies for not being able to tell.As much as I loved the Brats (and Bratz, but that's a different story), I will say the cheese takes the blue ribbon! I had two versions in the form of Fried Curds and Beer Cheese Soup. Both were excellent in completely different ways. I'd give the Soup the golden star as this liquid gold had the aroma of beer wafting up with each delicious spoonful. I'd probably get some pretzel bites or something which would go nicely with this. The curds were awesome and I just dipped in their golden brown mustard! Nothing special needed. There's also a store with some T-Shirts to remember your trip. Some display some good ol' ribaldry, but it's all good cheesy fun. It's right off the highway if you're traveling between Milwaukee and Chicago (I don't remember which highway). But plop it into your GPS and stop! If you have kids kicking and screaming in the back, tell them this restaurant is for them!"
"No trip to Madison, Wisconsin is complete without a stop at the Babcock Hall Dairy Store. Located on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, Babcock Hall Dairy Store is a must stop. Babcock Hall is home to the University's dairy research program. This restaurant is located in the building, and they make their own fresh ice cream and frozen creations. You can also purchase sandwiches and drinks here. I got a scoop of the chocolate peanut butter ice cream (rich, chocolate ice cream with thick ribbons of creamy peanut butter), while my husband got a scoop of the 175 S'more Years (rich, chocolate ice cream with a marshmallow swirl and graham cracker crunch to celebrate UW-Madison's 175th anniversary). The flavors were rich and creamy. The scoop they give you is HUGE! They are always creating new flavors, so if you go back there is always something new to try. If you are in Madison, I highly recommend stopping by and getting some ice cream at Babcock Hall Dairy Store!"
"Great place to stop for gifts and to stretch your legs after a long trip. This place is awesome, it's filled with every sort of cheese you can think of and they have legitimate hot combos here so be careful! You can also have this place ship cheese to relatives in other states. You can give them a little piece of wisconsin by shipping them great tasting cheese varieties. I asked about shipping to California and you must have a minimum of 30.00 in cheese products. There are other items here also worth looking at, there is something for everyone here."

5 stars for food! Order at the counter & find your seat. Sandwiches and entrees are EASILY shareable. We ordered cheese curds and wouldn't be surprised if it was a full pound of cheese curds. We had the Siracha sandwich YUM and the special, chicken Parmasean sandwich. Didn't order the Bloody Mary special, but dang, it looked fantastic! Interesting and well stocked cheese, hot sauces, and deli items in the store Very friendly and helpful service. Highly recommended!

This is a must stop location in WI just over the boarder from IL. It is famous for its cheese curds, their brats, and their concerts! It is an eclectic location that has a bit of everything but they also have live music concerts that can get some pretty big names in here.I have been to several concerts here; the space is smaller and can really ROCK!The food is outstanding WI cuisine... you just can't go wrong with the different options. They also offer a pretty extensive beer and drink menu. This is not for the feint of heart, no vegans here, and you better be ready to party hardy at night time. This is a great location to cut loose, have some good comfort food, that will do nothing for your health, and listen to some choice music! If you're anywhere near this location I highly recommend stopping... it is a true slice of Americana that you just have to experience for yourself.

When I visited Madison recently, I had a small window of time before I had to move on to the next thing. It was mid-afternoon, on a Friday, and I'd never been to Babcock Dairy. So I plugged it into my GPS and away I went. There is street parking and I had no trouble that day I was there. But depending on the day, it could be hard to find parking, and you might have to find somewhere else to park and walk. After walking up two flights of steps you're ushered into a small but decent-sized ice cream shop--except this one has more seating than the average ice cream store. There is more than just ice cream on the menu, but I was there for the ice cream. There were a few people ahead of me in line, so I waited about 10 minutes or so. I ordered a double decker--and the last time I had a double scoop was years ago, I kid you not. But I was there and couldn't resist. I ordered chocolate and other flavor, I think was salted caramel. (It was a month ago!) But whatever it was, it was creamy and delicious. I wasn't really sure I could eat a double scoop, but despite its creaminess, it wasn't too heavy or difficult to eat. I sat by a front window and enjoyed my ice cream! It's a family friendly place, as not only students come but families with young kids were there, too.

Saw the billboard from the highway. Stopped in here and checked on yelp. Note to self, check in later. There was a 10% check in offer that I couldn't get back to on my phone. Hence, the 4 star review. I sampled some cheese and settled on blueberry cobbler cheddar, vegetable cheese curds, garlic cheese curds and chocolate cheese. The curds are yummy 10 seconds in the microwave. The chocolate cheese tastes like fudge. They also sell fudge here. The name is clever. I don't like mice.

These cheese curds with delicious! As well as the Reuben and the homemade chips!!!I bought (too much) cheese from this shop. The staff were all incredibly helpful and kind!!! Literally ALL of them. One woman helped me with cheeses, the guy who I checked out with, and then I went to order a spotted cow and a sandwich. I didn't get her name, but the girl who helped me was AMAZING. (She just moved back from Denver and was so kind and helpful). Hopefully the owner sees this and can recognize how wonderful their employees are!

The Village Cheese shop is an adorable European-style cheese shop in the heart of downtown Tosa. It helps that the interior is painted in my absolute favorite shade of blue and impeccably decorated. But onto the cheese! The store offers a variety of artisan cheeses, meats, and jams, many of them locally produced. You can purchase wine and even enjoy a glass with a cheese and meat board, salads, and sandwiches. I was impressed with the selection, and I will definitely be coming back. Great addition to downtown Tosa!

Wisconsin Cheese mart is a local spot in downtown Madison that offers unique flavors of local cheese and savory smoked meats. When walking downtown, I usually always stop by with friends to check out the new cheeses that are available. Wisconsin Cheese Mart offers a good selection of mostly individual portioned cheeses and offers free samples of their season cheeses. The store is pretty small and there's not indoor seating. I like the aesthetic of the store and the cashier is very nice. Check out Wisconsin Cheese Mart if you have a dairy craving or want to up your cheese game.

"Smash Burger Wednesday!!!! What a Delicious Surprise. The Sriracha Melt was also super Delicious! The chicken tenders are solid as well. Thoroughly enjoyed eating at this establishment and the workers are friendly. My new favorite place at the Public Market :)"
"The options at Brennans are unparalleled for Madison, and their sandwiches and meat counter are also excellent. Try a pressed sandwich or some steaks to go and you won't be disappointed."
"The store has great products. I found the customer service to be not necessarily bad, friendly but a bit confusing. The two employees working there were both filling the order of the group in front of me, and it took quite a while, although they acknowledged me and said they would help me next. No problem, I thought, they pay full attention to one customer at a time. When I got to the front I was helped by one of the employees and I placed my order. The checkout process took longer than I excepted as both employees were helping the person behind me in line already, with the person checking me out pausing numerous times to answer their questions and offer advice ( even though the other employee was already assisting that customer). The experience left me feeling like I was perhaps less important than the other customers. Obviously the other customers had a lot of help, so if you visit you probably have a two in three shot at great service, especially if you're someone worthy of their respect."
"This place has an amazing selection of cheese!! I was here for the cheese curds and it did not disappoint. I also got a cute little cooler for spending over a certain amount of money. I thought that was so cute. They also had 4 cheese samplers out for you to try. I got a couple different flavors and was surprised how much I loved the Dill & Garlic and Mango Habanero (spicy) flavors! Their prices are great too!"
