"Lovely addition to the Elmers marina! I loved the pineapple pina colada! Very flavorful with extra pineapple after! My dark chocolate bananas were yummy & great size to share if you get a full size. Welcome to LG Going Bananas"
"Amazing charcuterie and phenomenal customer service. Got an A for my daughter's birthday since it's the first letter in her name. Easy free pick-up! I got an emailed list of everything in our charcuterie too. Highly recommend!"
"How did we not know this was a quick walk from the Third Ward? I was craving wine after a long day and I put wine bar into Yelp and Indulge popped up!Indulge is located on Milwaukee Street if I were the owners I would consider into putting up different signage or a new storefront because it is easy to miss and that is a shame.I will be honest, I love wine but I am not that educated about different regions or grapes. Our server was very knowledgeable, telling us about the areas and what that brought to each wine we tried in our flight. The flights were 15.00; I am not sure if that is every Thursday evening or just last night, but it was a great way to sample their wines. The cheese board list was very extensive and again our server was very knowledgeable about explaining and describing the cheese. We chose the Alpine, and Asiago, and Parmesan. All of the cheeses were delicious and perfect compliments to our wine selection. We also tried the olive medley and meat board......perfection. They did have chocolates for dessert but we were stuffed. The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 is it took a long time to get our wine and cheese. We were the only patrons (which is a shame because the place really is special). Our server was training another server and I think that is what was taking so long. It was a delightful way to spend an evening but that is the only thing I would say needs improvement.Again with all of the people who are living downtown or visiting the downtown area, it would be beneficial to change up the storefront so people know it is there. We will definitely be stopping in more!"
"Terrible experience on 8/3/23. Ordered food on the Doordash website. It was not delivered to the correct location. My husband had to go find it at the Oconomowoc Senior Center. When he got back to our apartment, the sandwich was missing!! Not able to contact anyone at the restaurant to get replacement."
"We had 3 separate options. Tuna Melt, Burger, chicken apple salad sandwiches. We had chips and chili as our sides. The portion of chili (cup) was tiny but tasty."
"Cute little retro ambiance. We came by for dessert after Hungry Sumo. They have speciality toppings for the donuts but we opted for the cinnamon sugar. They came out piping hot and delicious! I probably should have opted for the 24 because we ate them right up! Next time we'll bring cash to play the machines in the arcade."
"What a gem of a deli they have here in historic downtown Waukesha! It was Friday evening in autumn and my dining companion and I were on the hunt for some warm and toasty soup for dinner. We were in the Brookfield/Waukesha area and a quick search on Yelp led us to Rochester Deli. They have menus but it's an order at the counter situation. Unlike many delis, however, they do have a full blown dining room for you to enjoy your meal (they'll deliver it to your table). On any given day, they serve chicken dumpling soup as well as one soup of the day. I got the chicken dumpling soup, which was tasty. My dining companion got their soup of the day, which on this particular day was clam chowder. We split one of their turkey cheddar panini which has a beautiful spread of cranberry relish on it, along with the turkey and cheddar and made for the perfect fall accompaniment to our soup. The service was friendly and efficient and the dining room, though simple, felt cozy on a chilly autumn evening. Loved my first experience here!Get to it!"
"Went to the Underground Food Collective for dinner last week. The food was delicious, unique and fresh. The environment was bright, contemporary and hospitable. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. It was a great experience."
"We recently had a wedding reception at Daylee Public House and Megan of Simply Irresistible catered it. Words can't express how wonderful every aspect of the party was. The bride is Indian, both bride and groom are vegetarian, some guests were Vegan and others were Wisconsin meat eaters!!! EVERY aspect of this party, from start to finish, was PERFECT!!!! Megan took such trouble to create a menu that met everybody's dietary needs. The food was homemade and wonderful. All of our guests gushed over the food and drinks. Megan's father tended bar and made fabulous drinks. Weather was such that Megan had the huge glass "garage door" open so people meandered from patio to indoor area. Megan's attention to detail, smiling disposition and professionalism resulted in an A+++++ party. If you are in need of a caterer, CALL HER!Warm Regards! Sheri, Todd, Niki and Aaron"
"I have gone to this place for many years for imported cheese and Italian sausage. In my opinion it is the best sausage. It is lean and flavorful. The market gets the sausage from Chicago. It sells out fast. I had never eaten lunch from the deli. I had a tuna salad sandwich on a sub bun. The tuna salad was made with olive oil and a mix of Italian pickled vegetables. It was delicious. I loved that it was made without mayonnaise. They also have other sandwiches made with Italian meats or vegetarian. I would definitely recommend it."
"I have purchased Carrie's Crispies on three separate occasions, including this afternoon. They make awesome gifts for coworkers, friends, and families. They have a variety of flavors and the vast majority of them are gluten-free. They often have seasonal flavors, including root beer float, pineapple mai tai, and strawberry margarita this summer. Both Carrie and her husband, Brian, are really sweet people. Support small businesses!"
"I tried JAK's Ohana as a part of on site catering at my work. I ordered the chicken katsu wrap and it was okay. The chicken katsu itself was delicious and perfectly coated. The sauce was also great and slightly tangy. The tortilla used for the wrap was cold, which really didn't help and would have been much better if it were warmed. The wrap also could have been helped by having some more flavors/veggies or something as even though the sauce and chicken were good, it was overall pretty bland. That said, I'm excited about their food and I want to give them another try when they're not having to serve as an on site caterer without their proper truck."

I really love this place. We were looking for a place to get some small bites because dinner was hours away and this fit the bill. We got a couple of Carr Valley cheeses and they were all amazing. We also couldn't resist trying a couple of their chocolates: limoncello espresso and bananas foster. I thought both were delicious, especially the latter. I wish they weren't so small because they're gone in seconds! The decor is one of my favorites in the city. The chairs are comfortable even though they're high because the table has a bar exactly at foot level. The chairs also have these hooks on the back to help you pull them out and also hang your purse! I'd like to come back and try some of their macaroons. We were really tempted to get some then but didn't want to spoil our dinner.

So happy this place has finally opened their store front! We've had their cinnamon sugar mini doughbefore from their food truck. This time we got those, but also mini ones with frosting topped with an Oreo, one topped with a chocolate chip cookie and one that was birthday themed with sprinkles. While those were fun, my favorite are still the cinnamon sugar. They make them fresh for you so we ordered coffee to drink while waiting. The space is very bright and colorful. Lots of fun pinball machines. Super happy to have this a few blocks away!

The Underground Catering provided all the food and bar for my daughter's wedding. She contacted them online and set up a menu of pulled pork, special slaw and cheesy pasta - all excellently served in a barn setting for 150. The bar service was cordial and accommodated the bride and groom's "signature" drink as well as an extensive mix of other beers, wines, etc. They worked with us to let us buy some of the drinks as well. The appetizers were the bomb - as were the empanadas served as the midnight snack. Wow. On time - pleasant - clean. We loved it. The next day...we had misplaced some of the rented napkins, but Wendy was right there, figuring it out in a flash. Quite the business. I'd trust them with any catering and I've hosted many for my employer! Fresh. Fast. Friendly. Can't beat it.

"This is where my Nephew and his new Wife had their wedding reception. Congratulations Clif and Ariell! The food was served family style. They started with a Salad that had nice combination of veggies that included some great little Grape Tomatoes. Sides were Green Beans with Almonds and Roasted Potatoes. Both were good, but the potatoes were so good we wanted to take them back to our hotel room! I even tried to get the recipe from the waitress. The main courses were Breaded Chicken and Pepper Steak. Again, both were very good. As with any wedding reception, the best part was the celebration of family and friends. Any chance I get to spend time with my family rates a 5 star experience! Besides, I even got my dance on after dinner!"
"China and her team served our wedding and added just the right vibe. They were concerned and courteous with the guests all night. China offered great ideas for cocktails made specifically for our fall event. I would use their services again in the future!"
"The food here isn't great, but the prices are. Every night there's some food special, and it's a very popular neighborhood bar so arrive early and don't expect to get your food too quickly. It's okay there are also always drink specials, it's a beer on tap place so don't order anything fancy. The crowd here is all White and middle aged, but I felt welcome or at least accepted."
"Tried their corn in a cup and steak tacos to go, they were tasty and would order from them again!"
"I've seen the sign for this place on the Beltline for years, but have never actually ventured along that part of Monona Drive until recently. My boyfriend had noticed it on a drive one day and wanted to try it one morning of his vacation, so I met him and we rolled on over. When we walked in, I was surprised to see that it was counter service. I am the absolute worst decider at a new place, so that kind of threw me for a loop because I hate to be that person that makes the counterperson stand there awkwardly while I make a choice. Usually I research things ahead of time, but for this I had failed.Gratefully there was no one behind me, and after several excruciating minutes (and a wonderfully sweet and patient cashier/our eventual server) I landed on panic pancakes. Panic because too many things sounded good and I just pulled the trigger. I specifically got the cranberry pancakes - I love cranberries, the restaurant is named after them, it would presumably be a good choice. Pancakes usually fall to the bottom of my list, though, so when I sat down at our booth to wait I started having buyer's remorse. Happy to report there was no need for that - they were amazing. Some of the best pancakes I've ever had, actually - my guess is that they were made from scratch instead of with a mix. The cranberry flavor was subtle, but present, and made even better by the cranberry butter it was served with. Cranberry butter! I am a weirdo who skips over maple syrup, so this was a perfect accompaniment. For my side, I chose the rustic red potatoes - well seasoned, and cooked all the way through. The restaurant only had a couple other patrons on a weekday morning, but that was fine by me - nice and quiet. The interior was really cozy with a huge fireplace that serves as the focal point of the dining area. The cashier/server was fantastic, checking in enough that we had everything we needed, but not interrupting our meal. With my flexible work schedule, I'm excited to hit them up on another weekday morning."
"Blac Bistro is one of the first vendors in the new Paper Table Food Hall on Milwaukee Ave. Paper Table is designed as multiple kitchen spaces for different vendors to complete mostly to-go orders, but they do have a little bit of seating with huge open windows. The whole menu looks amazing but my coworker and I ordered the Southern Grits and the Jambalaya. The grits come with sausage and shrimp, and the jambalaya has sausage, shrimp and chicken. We ordered extra shrimp on the jambalaya. Both were perfect! Great flavor, presentation, and clearly fresh. Huge shrimp cooked perfectly. We also met the chef, who gave us great recommendations and was insightful about the entire Paper Table food hall. The host at the desk was also super helpful and kind. Excited to try more of the menu!"
"Ordered catering for Thanksgiving this year - figured why not, nothing else is the same! I'd had their meals at Ruby Tap and enjoyed them so I thought that would be a safe choice. I chose prix fixe for four people. We chose to do ham, classic stuffing, maple carrots, pimento mac and cheese and rolls. The menu said mashed potatoes/gravy and salad were included in this choice. Pickup was pretty slick, not many cars in the queue and employees had all food pre-boxed up and ready to go. I drove the 25 minutes over there, got my box, and drove the 25 minutes home. Then I noticed that they omitted my salad. I called them and they said I could drive back out there for the salad... so I did. (in total i spent 100 minutes in the car going back and forth to get the food. On the day of thanksgiving we realized that they gave us the wrong stuffing as well. The ham was measured out by pound and we got 2 lbs for four people - which would have been fine if 60% of it wasn't fat! We ended up putting more in the dog bowl than on our plates. The reheating instructions stated that we needed to put all the food in the oven covered to reheat it, and they gave us paper lids??? So then I had to use a bunch of foil to cover all the items. The mac and cheese (which is made with penne?) had no pimentos in it (i figured the red pimentos would be easy to see) but it didn't get any love as it was BONE dry pasta noodles. Bummer. The mashed potatoes, [forgotten] salad, and carrots were good, though the carrots were devoid of any maple flavors. For $200 we all just expected more. Just another case of restaurants over-selling to the point of mixing up too many things. I probably wouldn't order from them again."
"Mad City Chefs did such a great job today for my company's Holiday party! They were able to come to us, cook and prepare food on site, and keep a steady flow of delicious food ready as we gobbled everything up at warp speed. We had a carving station with prime rib and honey ham. Both meats were DELICIOUS. The prime rib was a favorite of many and we ate every last bit of it. In addition to the meats, we had a large selection of smaller bite-sized foods such as crab cakes, mini BLTs, mini Chicken Pot Pies, veggie spring rolls, to name a few. Fresh fruits and veggies, various cheeses, an excellent salad - basically everything you could want, we had it! Everyone was very impressed and I have been getting questioned all afternoon as to where the food was from, who catered, etc, as everyone really enjoyed it. On top of their amazing service, they even boxed up left overs for us so they don't go to waste. Great company to work with!"
"Shully's catered a 200+ company party at The Cooperage last night (see separate venue review). It was sit down and for some reason they had a tent and were cooking outside. In January. In Milwaukee, during a snowstorm. Obviously as fast as the staff served the food - it was cold. Cold soup. Cold entree. Taste wise food was delicious. Presentation lovely and unique. Staff attentive and friendly. I took a star off for cold food, but sit downs are notorious for that. Venue kitchen may have been too small... but inconvenience to them may have meant hot food for us. I would not hesitate to recommend them... for a different venue. Vegan options available. Interesting combos of potatoes, veggies etc. Would have loved 2 dessert options as well. I didn't care for Tiramisu. But, thank you for a good meal!"
"The Keto Salad was fantastic! Chock full of chicken, bacon, eggs and avocado. Super fresh and fast/polite service. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu!"
"I am pretty much a regular at this butcher shop at this point, so I figured an update was in order. The employees all know me by now, and will cut whatever I want when I call in advance. You would be hard pressed to find a better shop in Chicagoland that consistently has such great quality. I am a bit of a pain in the ass when it comes to meat cuts, and these folks have always accommodated me, no matter how bizarre my request. Their dry aged brisket cuts are pretty much the standard by which all others should be measured, and trust me when I tell you that proper prep goes a long way when you are actually putting the meat to the fire. They cut meat with the smoker or grill chef in mind. While brisket cuts account for most of my visits to Meeske's, they are hardly a slacker in other areas. You can get a 2 1/2 inch ribeye or porterhouse here that will rock your brains out if you are so inclined, and actually at a lower price point than you will find at places like Mariano's. Meeske's has been my secret weapon for bad ass brisket for awhile now, but the meat easting public also deserves to know how great these folks throw down. If you are a fan of meat, this place is a no brainer. Always on point with quality and staff that is more than up to the challenge no matter what your special request might be."
"Popcorn galore. Comparable to garrett's in chicago. The ladies were very nice and offered samples. I ended up getting cheddar bacon (wow!) and chicago mix. Only downside is their popcorn is small, so you are eating bit and pieces of an actual kernel. I would be back when I come back to Lake Geneva."
"Got the Wednesday night family dinner to go. Outstanding food ready to serve. Pork roast roumalade, fresh vegetables, baguette, potatoes, butter pecan custard and butter cookies. Everything was delicious. A great value when you consider your time used to shop, prep and cook."
"Glenn's is our go-to crack dealer. Now, before you think that's bad, my wife and I are addicted to the deli sliced deep fried turkey. We drive to Glenn's weekly to get our "fix."This is an excellent butcher shop that offers a variety of everything, including natural dog treats. I've also found the prices at the deli are LESS than at the grocery store and much better quality. As a bonus, they have a dedicated gluten free section for prepared frozen meals and pizzas! My only complaint is they have such short Sunday hours, but I also appreciate how that benefits the employees, which is far more important. We love Glenn's and it can be your crack dealer, too. Cheers!"
"Absolute perfection! We used Gracious Events as our caterer for our wedding on 9/10/2022 at St. James 1868. They were recommended to us by the St. James team. Marija worked with us and was so communicative and easy to work with. The Gracious team treated us like we were family. We had our tasting and was blown away at the quality of ingredients and curated menu. They learned about us as a couple and what our likes and dislikes were and made a menu to fit us. At the wedding, our guests gave us many compliments on the food, some saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. (We agree, worth every penny.) I loved how much they cared about us during the process and at the wedding. They were so kind to make us a plate of hors d'oeuvres at our cocktail hour so we can have enjoy our food. That to me, shows how much they care about their clients. They also made sure we got to eat our full dinner without interruption. My other vendors mentioned how kind and helpful they were and really enjoyed working them. Consider yourself lucky if you are able to book them because they will make your wedding day or event impeccable. Forever grateful for Marija and the Gracious Team!"
"Twisted Radish did a great job in helping me set up a Covid friendly 21st birthday for my daughter. We loved the presentation and the food was delicious! Highly recommend!"
""I had the pleasure of playing back-to-back nines with a member friend over the summer. Found a clean well laid out course with lots of beautiful trees along the sides of the fairways. I was surprised though because it's not a super hard course, I was nervous that my game wasn't up to it. But like most any course, if you can hit it fairly straight & putt a little, you can do fairly well here. The clubhouse has quite the seen during weekends, lots of local members soaking up lavations. Saw a bunch of personalized golf carts, these members obviously live in houses surrounding the links.Great pro shop with an extensive selection. Prices weren't all that bad either. I don't play regularly enough to justify the $5700 membership. So, doubt I'll be back anytime soon."
"If you love Greek food, you'll love Charlie's Catering. We ordered the Greek buffet which included all the fixings; Tzatziki Sauce was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, the meats were perfectly cooked and cut for the pita bread. Greek salad was excellent balance of feta cheese, olives, My only little dislike was the pita bread; very thick and broke in half when folded to encompass the fillings. Desserts were a great variety and the cinnamon sugar pita chips were "spot on"! This is definitely a place I will call again."
"We have used Upstairs Downstairs a handful of times now at my work and every time has been great. The service is good - they always arrive on time with plenty of time for set-up. The set-up is clean and presented very nicely as well. They give us plenty of time before they come back to clean everything up. No complaints there at all. The food has also always been fantastic. Everyone in the office seems to really enjoy it and is always asking where is was catered in from. We will definitely continue to use these guys in the future!"
"At no point did I feel neglected or that I was not getting what I wanted. The planning process went super smooth. I feel like the entire staff went above and beyond to suggest small details that would make our event even better. From the small candles and jars of lights they placed around the food, to the decorative boxes they placed around the cake that they let us bring in and they supplied the plates and silverware. They have done this a time or two so their input was greatly appreciated!"
"Had the baked cod. Cooked just right. Portion size was good too. It didn't have a lot of flavor though. The fish fry looked tasty too. Will try that next if we go back."
"Nothing short of amazing to deal with. Damo BBQ is one of our food trucks for the 2024 Carol Stream Cougars Memorial Day Classic youth baseball tournament. They are making us look good by asking them to our tournament! Nothing but compliments! Pulled pork breakfast tacos were a huge hit at the tournament! So were the ribs! If you're looking for a friendly family that goes out of their way to serve up great BBQ for an event, look no further! We've already had teams tell us they'd sign up for our tournament again as long as Damo's will be there!"
"Went with some friends to GingeRootz. This place has the most delicious Asian food I've ever had. My go to is sweet and sour soup. This was almost thick it had so much stuff in in - in a good wayI also had an ell roll called Caterpillar. it too was very tasty. The roll was firm and tall and. again. very tasty Both our friends had Kung Pao triple, which they adjusted to their taste. There was enough for a second meal for each. They also ordered Crab Ragoons, which were less crispy than I'm used to and I thought were excellent. My frien likes them more crispy. My husband had the cashew chicken which he enjoyed. The ingredients in the cashew chicken and the Kung Pao triple were fresh and looked deliciousThe presentation was excellent. Service was outstanding- professional, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.I will be back and recommend you try it too!"
