"LOVE Beef butter BBQ! Not only is the meat amazing, but their sides are my favorite. Especially the Mac and cheese and APPLE PIE BAKED BEANS. Good BBQ is almost as much about the sides as the main. We usually stop in for lunch, but they can run out after lunch rush. I think it is pricy, but worth it for good BBQPatrick is awesome and so kind everytime my partner or I stop in :)"
"I have gone to this place for many years for imported cheese and Italian sausage. In my opinion it is the best sausage. It is lean and flavorful. The market gets the sausage from Chicago. It sells out fast. I had never eaten lunch from the deli. I had a tuna salad sandwich on a sub bun. The tuna salad was made with olive oil and a mix of Italian pickled vegetables. It was delicious. I loved that it was made without mayonnaise. They also have other sandwiches made with Italian meats or vegetarian. I would definitely recommend it."
"Whenever I have a chicken craving, this is my go to place! Always consistent, hot and tasty chicken. The fries are just standard and nothing to write home about but the chicken makes up for it. The coleslaw is pretty good too. It was supposed to come with custard but it seem to have been forgotten this trip and my prior trip as well. But, got my chicken fix and I'm good for a while."
"Located across the best western in Madison is this farm to table restaurant. We came here for lunch because we were working nearby. They had lots of items to choose from but we all went for the Caesar salad wrap and I chose mine with a side salad. It was huge and super tasty. You seat yourself and can get your own water and you bus your own table. They had other ready options and all types of food. Easy location for something quick or to dine in."
"Tried their corn in a cup and steak tacos to go, they were tasty and would order from them again!"
"Classic, locally-owned deli located within a butcher shop, attached to a gas station I come here for the deli sandwiches ever since Kenosha's well known local sub shops all closed. The fresh Italian bread along with their freshly cut meats and cheeses is worth a visit alone - none of the national chain sub shops could ever compare. The staff was nice and helpful, willing to accommodate special requests (I didn't have any but the people behind me did and they were nice about it). Can't wait to come back and try some of their meats."
"Popcorn galore. Comparable to garrett's in chicago. The ladies were very nice and offered samples. I ended up getting cheddar bacon (wow!) and chicago mix. Only downside is their popcorn is small, so you are eating bit and pieces of an actual kernel. I would be back when I come back to Lake Geneva."

Our favorite joint for anything barbecue. Love their selection of meat plates. The bbq ribs just fall off the bone and is super delicious. We have tried all the meat selections & our favorites are the brisket, ribs, rib tips & smoked chicken. The ambience is casual, with some outdoor seating open only in summers. The service is actually very good. They are pretty quick & super friendly. We were impressed by their food & service and had them as our wedding reception caterer. Received loads of compliments for everything we had catered.

Omg !!! I is so excited to find this spot!! I loaded up on lots of staples! My latte is satisfyingly familiar yum yum. I can't wait to return for the sandwiches--- people are lining up for them! They are bustling behind the counter-- so I perused the art from the local artist Sharon Thomas, I am moved by pellucid style. I definitely will be supporting her.

So here's my take on the new owners. It's definitely not the same Champion Chicken that once was. They've changed the menu to be more like their sister store NYPD pizza on North Avenue. There's a little bit of something for everyone. They have appetizers, burgers, pizza, sandwiches and wraps along with salads and soups.I decided just to pop in for some takeout. I went with the Italian sandwich because the guy at the register said it was one of his favorites. One thing he stated that he liked about it was that it came with a side of dipping sauce Aka Au jus. Well when I got home there was barely any au jus in the container to dip the sandwich in which was very unfortunate. He also said that they Giardiniera on it and there was barely any whatsoever. The beef tasted fine and I got American cheese on it but the bread was a little on the greasy side. The french fries weren't bad. I also ordered some eggroll wrapped mozzarella sticks which were quite delicious. I did really like the marinara sauce that came with it.I will probably give them a try again in the future. Maybe order a pizza and see how that is.

I stopped by to take out lunch. The store was neat and trendy. There were a lot of local products. Freezer had frozen food as well. Harvest chicken sandwich was my favorite item. Grain bowl was my other item. I added steak to it. Grain bowl had fresh healthy ingredients, but flavors were off and could have been cooked more. Swedish almond cake was good. It felt like a less rich variety of German Marzipan cake. Strawberry wisco-pop was a good drink.

I'll start with some advice. Hunt this truck down and get in line, because it's that good. My wife had the Buddha chicken and i had the Khula Chicken. The chicken was all white meat, very moist, fresh with no fatty parts. The jasmine rice was a good addition cooked to perfection. I usually don't like breaded chicken as it tends to just add useless bulk, but in this case the breading alone can be a meal. I'll have to say, spending time in NY, San Fran and Chicago I've been a bit spoiled with food trucks, that have innovative creations. There have been rare times I've seen them in Milwaukee, so to come across one not just selling hot dogs, brats or beer is a pleasant surprise.Portion was a fair amount for $7. I'm pretty sure there was a whole chicken breast, at least the good part, in easy helping. I still think the truck should be named Los Pollos Hermanos, would totally live up to it.

Pricey but good quality. My favorites from here are the beef jerky and the baked beans. (Omgosh... these baked beans are AMAZING) My family LOVES the deli sandwiches. I enjoy the quality of meat. When I'm a pinch and I need a quick dinner, I go to the stuffed chicken breasts & twice baked potato. We've had them smoke a pig for us once and it was outstanding. So whether you're looking for a quick dinner to prepare or on the road sandwich...It's definitely worth going to check out!

WOW! We stopped in here after spending an hour or so at the Lake Geneva museum today. My 2 young kids were indecisive like all kids are, so the young lady making the popcorn let us all try any flavor we wanted to help us decide. We had a lot of samples! In reading some earlier reviews about the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. We were greeted very warmly the minute we stepped in and my 3-year old was a bit on the cranky side so she dealt with that well too! We had a completely different overall experience than the person wrote from earlier this year. The walls were perfectly in order, stocked with all bagged popcorn flavors and candy. Floors and counters were clean. They also had a beautiful display of gourmet candies to the side of the check-out counter, above it which listed also their ice cream offerings and prices. They had all their various tins with many patterns to choose from on the top shelves. My kids enjoyed watching fresh carmel corn being stirred up behind the counter. She even let us sample the fresh/warm popcorn. The lady was a great sales person, that is for sure. We walked in thinking we'd buy a small bag for the kids to share and we ended up walking out with a 2-pound tin tub, plus an extra bag of cheesy bacon pizza popcorn. We paid around $30, which really was a good price if you look at Garrett's prices! Plus, the lady told us that we could bring the empty tin back anytime (no expiration) and get it refilled with a discount - I think she said 15%. I liked that we were able to get 3 different flavors to fill up the tub. She filled it to the rim too. The tub seems to hold at least 7 of the large bags that were sold individually. My favorite was the 3-cheese that had white chedder, parmesan and I 'think' just regular cheddar. It melts in your mouth. So good! We were just there a couple of hours ago and I think I am half way through this third of the tin. We might need to refill the tin before heading home from Lake Geneva in a couple of days. My kids liked the carmel/cheese that was seedless (tastes like Cap N' Crunch cereal) and a white chocolate one. I might need to have some shipped to me during the year as this popcorn is seriously addicting! My mom is sitting in front of me as I am typing this and she is eating some of the popcorn, and she just said this stuff is so addicting. Agreed!

Back again for a delish hot fish fry!! We frequent here and tonight with the snow, we missed the piano man with live music, but they reassured us he was doing well- just not coming out in the storm. Service, as always, was pleasant and attentive! The fish was really good and the fries too. We enjoyed the little cup of slaw and piece of rye bread. The restaurant is in the back behind the bar and is not anything to brag about, but you feel like you're eating in a family setting with nice people. We always come back.

"The food here isn't great, but the prices are. Every night there's some food special, and it's a very popular neighborhood bar so arrive early and don't expect to get your food too quickly. It's okay there are also always drink specials, it's a beer on tap place so don't order anything fancy. The crowd here is all White and middle aged, but I felt welcome or at least accepted."
"I have purchased Carrie's Crispies on three separate occasions, including this afternoon. They make awesome gifts for coworkers, friends, and families. They have a variety of flavors and the vast majority of them are gluten-free. They often have seasonal flavors, including root beer float, pineapple mai tai, and strawberry margarita this summer. Both Carrie and her husband, Brian, are really sweet people. Support small businesses!"
"Attended a paint nite here (paint afternoon, really). Drinks were cheap - definitely a plus. Looked like a fun venue, though. Lots of banquet area for receptions and the like. Softball fields too...not exactly what or who plays out there, but I've been on plenty of "softball teams" where all we do it try to out drink each other, so having one connected to a bar is a pretty great fucking idea!"
"BF and I ran across Las Virellas at a recent event. We couldn't resist the call of spicy crab with tostones. I'm glad we didn't. The service was friendly. The menu for the event was interesting, but we could have used more descriptors on it.Our crab was fresh, creamy and a little spicy at the end. It was served with a side of greens, which also contributed to the lightness and freshness. The tostones were the smashed patty variety and were satisfying and filling.I'll be back based on this visit."
"808 Hawaiian Style Poke Bowls & cheesecake... what's more to want? Both stores (shared space) offer delicious choices."
"Ordered from an app. Surprisingly good, old school style sweets. Will try again, and recommend to others after a few rounds more trying other desserts and baked goods."
"REALLY good! This was a food truck that was at Art History in Geneva - we were actually late but the gentleman that was in the truck stayed late and we were SO glad he did! We tried RIBEYE MACARONI & CHEESE & the BEAT'BOPPIN BBQ RIBS - both were amazing! The meat was so easy to cut I used my plastic spoon! The flavors were so good - not spicy but super flavorful!!"
"Love love love this place. The food is excellent. I like that they don't sauce the meat before serving, but let you choose the sauce you like and make it your own way. The Mac and Cheese is to die for!"
"Blac Bistro is one of the first vendors in the new Paper Table Food Hall on Milwaukee Ave. Paper Table is designed as multiple kitchen spaces for different vendors to complete mostly to-go orders, but they do have a little bit of seating with huge open windows. The whole menu looks amazing but my coworker and I ordered the Southern Grits and the Jambalaya. The grits come with sausage and shrimp, and the jambalaya has sausage, shrimp and chicken. We ordered extra shrimp on the jambalaya. Both were perfect! Great flavor, presentation, and clearly fresh. Huge shrimp cooked perfectly. We also met the chef, who gave us great recommendations and was insightful about the entire Paper Table food hall. The host at the desk was also super helpful and kind. Excited to try more of the menu!"
