"Took my kids here during our last trip to the Wisconsin Dells and we definitely plan to return the next time we are in the area. Great service and the inside is absolutely adorable. It is reminiscent of an old school ice cream shop from the 50's. We all had sundaes and ate every last bite!"
"This is definitely the place to go for your hot chocolate bombs if you've jumped on this trend. They are the most affordable and largest without compromising quality. While I was there, they had dark chocolate and milk chocolate. I got the dark chocolate and my sister had the milk chocolate. The chocolate melts perfectly, the marshmallows pop up out of the shell. It is the perfect chocolately hot chocolate. They also have so many other fun treats to get. We also got chocolate covered cherries. The store associate took so much care in packaging our items, I was humorously reminded of the scene in Love Actually when Alan Rickman's character is buying the necklace for his assistant and not his wife. Haha. Anyways definitely check this place out!"
"While visiting the Dells with some fellow Navy veterans, I stopped by here. Good stuff if you have a sweet tooth but I asked the employee, if there was any sugar free items and she showed me the Sugar-Free section that was in the corner of the store. I bought some sugar free twirlers and chocolates. Nice selection. Very clean place and very helpful staff."
"LOVE this place. What a cute idea for the cutest downtown area. I wish more towns had these. So many different candies to try, chocolates, fudge, bon bons, the list is endless. It is a little pricy to fill your own bag but honestly it's totally worth it. The look is so charming and inviting! The also sell ice cream from Dairy Haus down the street which is always a must have. My nephews LOVES this place. Great place !!"
"Lovely candy shoppe! If you are looking for great home made chocolates, and variety of ice cream, popcorn, coffee, lots of bakery items, and gift shop then you have found the right place! Had a little bit of an issue in exchanging a gift my husband bought me; wanted to exchange it the day after purchase, with receipt, and the girl behind the counter gave me a hard time, said items in the gift shop were final sale. No signs anywhere indicating this policy. The owner was called and I waited for awhile at the store for her arrival, I was finally allowed to exchange what my husband had purchased. If this is in fact the store policy, which is fine, then let the patrons know this before purchase. Put a sign up indicating same. I can only imagine how difficult it would have been to do an actual return not an exchange. The chocolates are worth returning for!"
"Some of the best hand made chocolate! Joel has received many a write up for his chocolates and his business. He makes his own candy as well and having wines and salsa and other items from local companies. You can sit and have lunch there as well although we stopped in just for one of his chocolate goodies. We walked out with some chocolate, wine, and salsa. It came recommended via word of mouth so do try to stop by for a visit if you're in the Theresa area."
"Such a neat little shop, stopped by after brunch for some sweet goodness... the caramel owls were delicious!!!!! The wife got the chocolate covered raisins... amazingly good!!! very large and delicious... prices were really good for the items we bought, which was all chocolate of some type.. they have a ton of mixed nuts and chocolate goodies.. but the best part of the store was the woman behind the counter, such a sweet and welcoming person. Her personality made you feel like you have been coming here for years.... all in all a great place to grab some cool snacks from a local business operated by caring folks..This is another one of those hidden gems, and until today has not been on yelp.... every time you find a place that's not on yelp, add it.... and help your community!!"
"I cannot tell you how lucky I am to have these chocolatier/candy makers part of our community. They have one of my favorite types of chocolate treats. It is a piece of marshmallow covered with caramel and then dipped in chocolate. I think mine was a kind of semi dark. Absolute Heaven. Their caramel and cheese popcorn mix is also a fan favorite."
"What a cool chocolate shop. It's in an area I used to frequent back in the day. There is easy access from the freeway and ample parking. The bon bons are amazing in look and taste. They are gorgeous. The gelato was excellent as well. I had the stracciatella gelato. I got a selection of bon bons, and the passion fruit and raspberry macaroons are divine."
"Popcorn galore. Comparable to garrett's in chicago. The ladies were very nice and offered samples. I ended up getting cheddar bacon (wow!) and chicago mix. Only downside is their popcorn is small, so you are eating bit and pieces of an actual kernel. I would be back when I come back to Lake Geneva."
"Lovely little chocolate shop built into the neighborhood. I love to find things for my girls when I travel, and found this spot while coming out of a nearby coffeeshop. It has that local charm that can't be beat, with friendly service and loads of fun sweets. I perused all they had to offer, and when I saw an Anna / Elsa Frozen chocolate set, the decision was the easiest one I made all week. My girls play Frozen all the time, and my youngest is going as Elsa for Halloween this year. I enjoyed chatting with the owner who has a granddaughter the same age as my daughter. Oh, and while I didn't get anything for myself, I've taken a few discreet bites off of Olaf and can say this chocolate is the real deal. Great quality. If you're in need for holiday gifts this is a spot to add to your list!"
"A large selection of speciality handmade chocolates. It is difficult to believe you cannot find something for everyone"

This is the ultimate stop for my chocolate cravings. Stop in for a puppy truffle (I know it's odd and my husband gets kind of offended when I bike off the cute little puppy truffle's head) or little ice cream cone or pie! They have all these intricate pretty little chocolate shapes filled with a yummy truffle/mousse type filling. They are amazing but almost too pretty to eat. By far the best thing here are those big apples... my favorite is the dream (white, dark, and milk chocolate over caramel) but the apple of the month is sometimes fun. Prices are a bit high, but get the punch card and someday you can enjoy a free apple after buying enough to fill the card. Also parking can be a pain since this is in the hub bub of the Taste of Home strip mall.

Goody Goody Gumdrop is a cute candy/ice cream shop. Kiddos got chocolate dipped waffle cones & 2 scoops of ice cream. It was good. Busy, crowded & very loud inside.

Sugar Britches is a cute little storefront in downtown Rockton that offers an array of old time candies, to popular gummies of every shape and flavor, taffy, fine chocolate truffles that you can purchase. A wall of bulk candies that you can mix and match for $2.49 per 1/4 pound. We had a group in there of 7. The men were literally like "kids in a candy store"! They were running around, reminiscing of old times when they were kids, filling their bags with all sorts of surgery confections. The staff was exceedingly patient with the very excited customers.

Stopped by Guth's for iced beverage with friends after grabbing some goodies at the Farmer's market. Ordered an iced Chai, which was pretty tasty. (I think it was a summer concoction with other flavors, but the name escapes me now.) As I was leaving, I asked my friend to help carry one of my bags because I received a small bouquet of flowers from a vendor at the market and my hands were full. The person who served us asked me if I was taking their flowers from the coffee bar area. I was surprised because I walked in with my goods, including a small Mason jar with fresh picked flowers. I informed her they were mine and not the store's flowers. This is a great store, or at least the handful of times I've been here my experiences were pleasant. It is really unfortunate that someone else felt the need to take their display of flowers, which were probably cute and colorful. I feel it adds character and a personal touch.

What a great store to discover in a small town outside of Milwaukee. It is worth a trip up to Teresa to visit this place, and to visit the city itself. Teresa was also founded by one of the founders of Milwaukee. This store has such a variety of Confections, but it also has great food and ice cream. Service is quick and the staff was really friendly and positive. I look forward to visiting again, and they have a great listing of menu sandwiches and more..

This place rocks. Lots of snacks and chocolates and the prices are great. We tried the chocolate covered raisins. Double dipped so they are really big. The best part is the prices. I got a bag of the raisins for two dollars and they were BOGO free. Woot! The kids got the caramel owls and loved them. We also got mint meltaways. The chocolates here are great and they had lots of good deals. The holiday tins were buy one get two free! It's not a huge place but the quality and the prices make this five stars for me.

Fun selection of old school and current sweets, local made chocolates in milk and dark, and so affordable! Snagged five dark chocolate cherry cordials for $3.95 and hubby will be thrilled. They were running low on truffles, but got some of those too. Couldn't believe the giant sprinkle covered marshmallows were only $2.75. If this were my college town, I know where my sugar-junky fix would get fixed. They had a few fun fudges, and ice cream and popcorn out the wazoo. Friendly, helpful staff. Great spot!

"OMG. This place always smells amazing and the chocolate is so freaking good here. Every time I visit my in-laws in Wisconsin I make it a point to stop here because I cannot find a place in California that has chocolate covered pretzel rods that are nearly as good as this place. I wish this store would sell these pretzel rods online because I would buy at least 10 of them and ship them to my house.Definitely recommend this place, highly. I can't wait to come back here again the next time I'm in town!"
"I have purchased chocolate from Jim Fetzer (AKA "The Chocolate Nazi") on many occasions. While he's a curmudgeon, his chocolates are delicious and unique. Sadly, between being fed up with the world and finding God, Jim is closing Northern Chocolate Company (per today's Journal Sentinel). It's the end of an era in Milwaukee."
"Cute little chocolate shop. When I went, I was picking up gifts for my daughter's teachers. I ended up getting the truffle boxes. These are seriously a great price - only $11 for I think 8 truffles? This is like, half the price of a certain place right down the road.I personally wasn't able to eat these, since they were a gift. However, I did get myself some chocolate covered gummy bears for less than $5, and those were super tasty! They also have an assortment of other bagged bulk sweets, as well as name brand candies, and other house made treats (think chocolate covered oreos and turtles). The space is maybe a little awkward (there is a still an old booth from the pizza place that used to be here), but that doesn't detract from the candies themselves. Recommend!"
"Holy guacamole, Batman. I have lived in Milwaukee for over 30 years, and never knew about this place until I was browsing Yelp one day. After reading the reviews and being a self proclaimed chocolate expert, I had to check it out.First off, diamond in the rough is almost a literal description of this place. While it is obviously not a literal diamond, it is an amazing place. It is down a random side road in a commercial district. You would NEVER know there is an amazing candy store on this street without the address. You park and get to the door, still wondering what you are about to experience.Once you go in, the shop area is tiny. Probably less than 10x10 of shopping area, check out, and standing room. AWESOME. For the locals, you know when you walk through Old Milwaukee section in the museum? This is a modern form of one of those shops. A tiny place hand making delicious candy daily, and selling them with a smile and a friendly word. It feels like you are walking into a late 18th century shop where the owners make the candy, sell it, and have a relationship with the customers. Incredible. After sampling some toffee, I went for a mix of toffee and caramel. I would say they were both some of the best candies I have had. The prices were high enough to know you are buying quality, but not outrageous. The shocker of the experience for me was when the lady got out her iPad and square to take my payment. I love seeing technology working for small business. When she asked me how I came across her store, and I told her yelp, a smile came across her face. We are doing some good for our community! Now go try some incredible treats and leave with a happy sweet tooth. Don't forget to check in and notice the yelp sticker on the door on your way into paradise."
"Nice ice cream store, great ice cream deserts and....gift store with many unique wood items.Plenty of parking right in their own parking lot. Conveniently located right on state highway 21 as you come into Wautoma from the west.Nice folks that are eager to help.Stop in and give them a try."
"Nice candy store. We stopped in just passing through town. There is a great selection of candy and chocolates. They also serve ice cream ad coffee. There is a nice little gift shop toward the back. The pecan melt away chocolate squares were my favorite candy. The saltwater taffy was soft and chewy, obviously fresh. I have had some at other places that was hard as a rock. The staff was friendly and accommodating. This place is worth a stopping in next time we pass through."
"I stopped in just to grab a couple of cupcake boxes. I was happy to see the wide assortment of items for baking. I have been ordering from Amazon up until now. Now I dont have to wait that extra day or so and pay the shipping fee. I can go right to West Allis and pick up the supplies. The prices were fair. They have icing flowers, royal icing, sprinkles, you name it and they have it. I do have an issue. This place would have gotten 5 stars had it not been for the worst customer service ever with the one exception of one young lady. Im not one to draw the race card on every hand but the blatant disregard of my presence was astounding. A couple of other people who didnt look like me came and were greeted and helped... me? Not so much. I roamed around until I was helped but the young lady. Thank you young lady if you are reading this.I would only stop back if need be, otherwise that left a bad taste in my mouth."
"There is A LOT of candy, chocolate, and fudge shops in the WI Dells area, but Swiss Maid Fudge is THE shop to visit! My hubby and I make a point to stop at Swiss Maid Fudge whenever we are in the WI Dells area.Swiss Maid Fudge has an excellent selection of chocolates and fudges. Our favorites are the dark chocolate and milk chocolate turtles, as well as the dark chocolate and milk chocolate caramels with sea salt.Swiss Maid Fudge is in an excellent location right on the downtown "strip" of WI Dells, has an excellent selection of chocolates and fudges, competitive pricing, and those chocolates are DELICIOUS!I highly recommend Swiss Maid Fudge!!"
"A tradition for us every year is getting our maple cream eggs from Buddy Squirrel in St. Francis. It was a bit different this year with the Corona virus, they had curbside pick up. I ordered the day before online. I felt like it went down like one of those drug deals you see on tv. We honked the horn and they went to get our order. There was some confusion though. I did select store pick up but my order said it wss shipped? I didn't pay for shipping but will happily accept more eggs. It did take about 10 mins yo get our order straightened out. But honestly, i would wait all day!"
"Wanted a place where we could eat ice cream inside. My wife found this place so we tried it out. It was a pleasant surprise. The service was fantastic and the lady was super nice. The ice cream was delicious. They had cones dipped in chocolate which was amazing. Very cool little ice cream shop and I highly recommended trying this hidden treasure out!"
"Cool store with a ton of candy, chocolate and other items for sale. Located in downtown Antioch which has a lot of other shopping options. When we stopped in during late March they were still a few weeks out from stocking the ice cream. We will stop in again this summer to try their ice cream."
"Such a cute ice cream shop! The perfect location, just down the street from the lake and right next to the Glacial Drumlin State Trail. The building is newly renovated with a good sized parking lot, bike racks, and outdoor seating. I love the shop decor and their fun colored walls. They have delicious Chocolate Shoppe ice cream. I had "heaps of love" in a homemade waffle cone, it was delicious! They have tons of flavors, sundaes, pints, etc. They also sell candy and shop t-shirts. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. A great first time at Jerzey Junction, can't wait to go back! Lake Mills is lucky to have them."
"I've had several of the confections from this particular place including the butter caramel corn and salted caramel chews and have never been let down. Simply put, what they do they do very well. The popcorn was sweet and crunchy without being clawingly sweet, with a little hint of saltiness. A perfect combination. The salted caramel chews are perfectly chewy and luscious and garnished with the slightest hint of salt to contrast the sweetness. Try eating just one! I've also had the chocolate caramels which are absolutely out of this world delicious. The products are a little pricey, but well worth the few extra dollars for the flavor and quality that sets them apart from the rest. Looking forward to trying more of their confections in the near future!"
"Came here after dinner and was surprised that this place was packed on a cold fall evening (low 30s outside). It took about 15 minutes before I could order. This shows how popular this place really is. I tried a few samples and I loved that they carry Chocolate Shoppe ice cream- which has always been very tasty. It was reminiscent of my favorite neighborhood ice cream shoppe I used to visit in Chicago. Scoops has a large variety of unique flavors including coffee, classics, and my favorite: peppermint! They also had a separate case of vegan ice cream which is a nice option for the dairy-free community. What I found fun is that Scoops carries different types of cones as well. They had the regular waffle cone (dipped) and sugar/cake cones, and speciality cones made of an actual cookie. Plenty of parking and a very cute deck. Just wish it was warmer so I could eat my Scoops outside!"
"Why do I love this place? Because even though I live 250 miles away they treat me like I am a regular customer. I signed up for their mailing list about 5 years ago and every year they send me a catalog. Ok a catalog I am sure you are thinking Big Deal. Most times about 10-30 days after I recieve the catalog they called me to see if there was anything I might want to order! Of course I had to order something! This really impressed me. Oh did I mention that their fudge is out of this world! I think that this may be the best in the Dells! I dare you to prove me wrong"
"We visited the Smiley Barn for its cute look outside. We weren't sure of what to expect, but we looooved it! It's a toy store like I've never seen them in Wisconsin. From modern to retro toys, this store has something for everyone. This shop should definitely have more advertisement. Go check it out!"
"When I lived in Wisconsin- I was introduced to a candy I had never had before . . . .angel food. Not angel food cake, but angel food candy, sort of a caramel crunchy inside covered in dark chocolate in large chunks. Delicious!Since moving to Chicago, it has been a long time since I had this Christmastime delight . . .until I wandered into the Candyman in downtown West Bend. And there in front of me was an entire tray of these delicious nuggets! And there were plenty of other treats that were all beckoning to me.The staff was helpful in boxing up my indulgence and I was on my way in no time at all. . . .with just a little bit of Wisconsin Christmas memories in my bag."
"My daughter absolutely love the Superman ice cream and this is the only place I know where it is the fudge is absolutely great"
"Awesome experience! Love their hand made chocolates and old school candy shop vibe. My wife and I had a big dinner beforehand and wanted to try out a new place locally so we settled on this. We weren't disappointed at all. Though they don't have the largest selection of ice cream flavors, everything there is awesome. You can't choose wrong."
"When I drove by this place I did one of those cop highway U turns and speed back to it like I was chasing a speeder. I'm still not doing well at adding more sweet tooth places in my reviews and what better than a good old fashioned candy company. The place has cow seats in front so how could you not stop. The place make about 80% of the candy I'm told so I looked around to see what I could take with me. There is some samples to taste some of the goodies like the Cow Pie, I have not had a real Cow Pie to my knowledge so I grabbed one with some real peanut butter cups amount other things. This is not outlet prices because the few things that I got was over $14 and more than I imagined for a small bag of candy. They do mail order from the web site if you find some that you like and there is a lot of candy on it."
"How has this place not been reviewed yet?! Truly a gem and fantastic chocolates :)Walked in around 5:45 (when they close at 6, we really didn't want to be those people, sorry!) but we were welcomed with open arms and a couple of tastings.Just about all of us girls bought chocolates and some kind of treat (latte... ice cream... adult milkshake) and everything was splendid. While walking out of the establishment, what I assume was the manager, he thanked us for coming in and letting them really enjoy their last 15 minutes of the day. Super nice guy and staff - can't wait to come back!!!"
"If you look at the store front photo I added you'll notice that the windows display what kind of tasty treats are hidden inside. I happened to glace across the street and see the magic word "truffles". That's really all it took!Allo is located on main street and is limited to downtown Waukesha street parking. If you have never been here it's entirely hit or miss. Since it's not as dense as Milwaukee you may find yourself in luck. Though it does get rather busy around here on the weekends. The best bet is park anywhere on Main St and check out all the little shops they have. On to the chocolate shop!Inside you will find a wide variety of treats. Candy bars, chocolate espresso beans.. pretty much everything chocolate you can think of. While i was interested in all the little treats I was there for one main reason. So upon entering go straight and veer slightly to the left to the glass display case filled with a wide variety of chocolate truffles. I checked the website but it didn't have a comprehensive list. that's unfortunate. There must be 1-2 dozen varieties. Irish cream, Cocoa Dusted, something that was Brewers Colors and touted some sort of beer filling? There were too many really. There is seriously something for everyone. I am not just saying that either. They cover all the bases. They have minis that run $.99 and larger size chunks of goodness that run $2.50. There are variety boxes that come in 4 packs a dozen and 2 dozen. Honestly though the prices are getting up there for some chocolates. Just me? But hey for $2.50 I'll stuff chocolate in my mouth. The other part of this review is the customer service. While the girl at the register was quite friendly to all the customers there wasn't entirely a good system of ordering in place. I didn't go straight to the register to order as other people who skipped us did. This is really only 3 or 4 feet to the left but we went unassisted while people off the street walked in to be helped before us. That will cost a star. Luckily I am good with non verbal communication and the young lady asked for assistance from the back (Not that it was busy). Oh well. A minor hiccup in an otherwise good experiencePeople with a sweet tooth should love this place. They have a wide variety of your standard chocolates that you may find in your local candy shop but they really shine with the truffles. Pop on in!"
"Amazing tacos! Tried the steak taco and one of the best in town, delicious flavor, shell cooked perfectly, mild and hot sauces were delicious too. Hidden gem for tacos that I'll be back for regularly, definitely trying out the rest of the menu too."
