Emily T. "One of my favorite spots in Tosa! Beer: the beer is great - huge menu of brews from Neenah. I tend to stick to pale ales and IPAs but my friends also vouch for their stouts and darker beers. Service: everyone is incredibly friendly and it's a definitely a neighborhood spot! Food: there's always a rotating food truck and it's so fun to try new spots! You can also directly order pizza and pretzels from Sendiks which is awesome. Atmosphere: the place is huge and always lively! Love the patio too! Very dog friendly."

My husband tried the "Joshua tree bourbon spiked sweet tea" and a "Hibiscus Hayes," both of which he enjoyed. The venue featured a great band, enhancing the experience. Additionally, the distillery has a private party area upstairs. A cute store as well!"

Rick R. "Was in the area, which is rare, so I decided to stop and see what the hype was about. This place lived up to the hype for me. I decided to try the housemade sausage platter and scratch made pizza, since I don't know when I'll be back out here. You can order 3 or 5 sausages in the platter, which comes with fries, or order one sausage in a bun. I opted for 3 sausages. There were 7 choices, and I chose the Slovenian, Polish, and French because I like Polish sausage and never had Slovenian and French sausage. Wow! Sausages are grilled over open flame and all were spectacular, and the French was my favorite, as I found it to have the most unique flavor profile, as well as being very bold like "punch you in the face because it's so good"! The sausage platters come with fries, and I love crinkle cut fries, so bonus. There were a LOT of specialty pizza options, but my "control" is always Italian sausage and pepperoni. The pizza dough is made from scratch and baked in wood-fired oven, being carefully tended to. The spicy (but not overly spicy) Italian sausage with visible fennel seeds was excellent, as was the thin sliced pepperoni, which was wide and looked more line sopressata to me. The Grande cheese blend and sauce were also packed with flavor, with the sauce leaning toward spicy and savory versus sweet. I hope my leftovers reheat well. :) Service was friendly, welcoming, and considerate. The atmosphere was "family friendly" with a moderate noise level. They also have a large craft beer selection, which they make next door. I didn't try any beer on this visit, so I can't speak to it, but I'll bet there are at least a few beers I would like.I would 100% come here again, and I highly recommend making the trip here."

The service was excellent- kind wi small town feel. There's great popcorn and pretzels to munch on while you drink. Now to the important part... the beer was excellent. They have a big selection on tap outside of what they brew themselves. The wheat bear they brew and the brown ale were excellent. My dad goes to breweries all over the country(keeps a beer journal to keep track of all the brews he's tried) and knows a great beer. If you're in Elkhart don't miss this new gem."

Chelsea M. "Citrus Mojito is made with rum, clementine, ginger, and mint. I wanted something to calm my nerves and I LOVE mojitos. It looked great with its orange color and mint leaves on top. I am not sure what kind of rum is used with this but it tasted a bit off with a heavy hit in bitter flavor department. This one may need a remix. Papa's Pilar Rum would help even out the flavor for a smoother sip. Rating: 3/5Spotted Cow Curds ($9) is locally-sourced cheddar curds hand-dipped in a New Glarus Brewing Company Spotted Cow (only available in Wisconsin) beer batter, deep-fried, and served with house-made jalapeño ranch dressing. If you have been following me, you know that I love cheese and I love, love, love cheese curds. This is the first time I have had cheese curds with a beer batter. The ale added a yeasty and slight fruity flavor to the batter which paired well with the gooey, salty cheese curd inside. I would leave them in the fryer for a little longer as some of them had a little bit of uncooked batter on the inside. Also, when removing them from the fryer, I would drain the curds a little longer to get more of the excess oil off. Other than that, these were great fried cheese curds. Rating: 4/5The Wedge ($9) is a wedge of iceberg lettuce served with cherry tomato, smoked bacon lardons, Roth Kase Buttermilk Blue Cheese, julienne red onions, and house-made ranch dressing. This salad is more than just a starter, it is a meal! I wanted a salad to contrast the richness of the fried cheese curds, but was not expecting it to be this robust. I was amazed at how fresh everything tasted since it was so cold and snowing outside - crisp iceberg lettuce, sweet sun-ripen cherry tomatoes, and zingy red onion. The Roth Kase Buttermilk Blue Cheese is to die for! It has a nice creamy and silky texture with pungent bleu cheese flavor which works perfectly with the house-made ranch dressing. But what takes the cake is the smoked bacon lardons. They are what turns this salad into a meal with rich, smoky flavor with beautifully crispy edges with tender pork and juicy fat. I LOVE this salad! Rating: 5/5"

FYI I found out that the dragon will breathe a cloud of "smoke" with the press of a button. Nice.Like many restaurants, Viking Pub would probably prefer to hire more wait staff, but it's a worker's market. Luckily, no one was too annoyed that the food was a bit slow to appear after ordering. Once the food arrived, we could taste that the kitchen did not sacrifice quality. My Pesto Chicken sandwich was impressive. The grilled chicken was tender. I wish there were fewer sundried tomatoes and more pesto flavor. My husband ordered the open faced portobello sandwich, which surprised me since he is opposed to all mayo/sauces. He ate it, but probably would not order a second time. Each sandwich comes with your choice of: French fries, coleslaw or chips. The sides upgrade list was impressive, consisting of no less than seven options! The sweet potato fries were an excellent choice.Looking forward to checking out Viking Brew Pub again, just during the week."

If you're a beer lover, or just looking for a weekend activity, I'd say this is worth the drive! I happened to be in Madison for the weekend, and New Glarus is only about 45 minutes away. New Glarus is a quaint town with some beautiful views on the way. The brewery has a self-guided tour, beer room, tap area, and gift shop. Keep in mind the beer sold by the case is more expensive here than any local gas station or grocery store, but they have all flavors available and they are fresh. We decided to do the $8 tasting, which includes 3 tastings in a souvenir cup. They have different options on tap every day. I was happy to see the cherry beer, but wish they had a couple more fruit options. It was may favorite for sure! The gift shop had lots of fun items, and I ended up taking home a cute spotted cow T-shirt. Our tasting also included a token to get a free beer in town. Highly recommend checking out the little downtown area. We ended up getting full raspberry beers at the Dirty Dog Taphaus. Such a fun day!!"

One of the owners! Not to take our order but to welcome us and let us feel appreciated and not ignored. (The complete opposite of our first and only night at Petskull)Next? Their beer , I got a flight which was a great, large selection. I do prefer a fruity type of beer which they really didn't have, but that's ok, not everyone does have fruity beer all the time. Next? We had flights of their burgers, their cheese curd flight, then got all five cheesecakes to go: no explanation needed. After dinner we went to the bar, gorgeous, polished huge brewing tanks in the background. Sorry, don't know the proper term for them at the moment. The bartender was very friendly and offered to provide us with a sample of any of their beers. After a few samples decided to do a flight of four. These folks know how to make beer for certain. I have consumed a fair amount of craft brews in and out of Wisconsin and there wasn't a beer I tried that I didn't like. I know my opinion isn't nationally recognized yet but that is a huge compliment. What did I taste?-Espresso amber is definitely for the coffee lover bold but not overwhelming. -Ach ya der hey-fe Weizen if you don't try it just for the name you need to try it because it is super refreshing. -Radar De stout is the perfect blend of carmel and chocolate. -Lemony Wicket was VERY refreshing, smooth and crisp.
