Fred L. "This place has absolutely the best spotted cow fish fry around town! It does cost 16 about after tax but is well worth it. The steak fries are made perfectly and the ranch dressing there is also amazing. The pizza they have there is also in my top 5 for around Wisconsin. They offer a punch card as well to get a free pizza after so many purchases. The service is extremely fast and the servers are extremely nice. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and also kid friendly. Will be back thank you for the wonderful dinner with my family!"

Stephen V. "This might not be the largest alley in town, it's not, but it's among the best I've visited no question. Browny, the old fellow I assume to be the manager is an outstanding example of providing the best possible experience for anyone and everyone of the customers who need some accommodation. The rest of the staff too always seem to be present and polite when someone has a request. A well cared for facility that is always in presentable condition at any of countless visits spanning nearly 10 years. I don't bowl these days, but I accompany my daughter for her special Olympics activities with her peers on most Sundays. Having also been a regular customer during other regular visits when I did bowl (I had a hand injury resulting in having to give up some activities, as well as playing guitar and altering work needs) with some frequency. Years ago I was what I might call a reasonably accomplished bowler but never joined league like I long ago did for darts. The food and service are always something to be pleased with. Drinks are good and priced accordingly well also."

Helen S. "First time visit to Electric City. It was a bit busy when we arrived. The server greeted us quickly and let us know there was a large order placed before us, so we knew we had a bit of time to chat with our friends. Drinks arrived quickly. The menu included appetizers, pizzas, and sandwiches. I chose the jalapeño bacon ranch burger. This was quite fantastic. Bun was toasted and burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fries were slightly battered and crispy. Overall a very satisfying dinner. The restaurant also has a section which is a bowling alley. The dining area was comfortable and the noise level was low enough for us to chat easily. I had a great time and look forward to my next visit."

Amanda D. "Attended a paint nite here (paint afternoon, really). Drinks were cheap - definitely a plus. Looked like a fun venue, though. Lots of banquet area for receptions and the like. Softball fields too...not exactly what or who plays out there, but I've been on plenty of "softball teams" where all we do it try to out drink each other, so having one connected to a bar is a pretty great fucking idea!"

Jennifer R. "After being closed for a while, this place recently reopened under new ownership. The new owners appear to be doing a great job so far. For their amenities, Root River has a bowling alley, volleyball leagues, and a banquet hall for parties and other special occasions. Also new: the Swagger Sports Bar. They are open every day for lunch and dinner. My husband and I were here recently for a retirement party for two of his colleagues. The banquet hall was very spacious. The hall can accommodate 200+ people and has a full bar. The staff was very nice and made sure everyone was taken care of. If you are looking for a place to hold your wedding or other special event, I would recommend checking this place out."

Thomas O. "Coming in and reading some past reviews, I was expecting a bad review... I have been here a few times before and had no problems or complaints... it's the first time I ate here and i had the Philly Cheese Steak... prices are a little more on the high side but the Phillly is very good and a large sandwich at that ... it was worth the price... the facility is an awesome establishment that has bowling , game room and the bar/ grill... very kool place for sure... I love the setup they have... being a business with so many activities, I'm sure the cost of running it is costly so I understand the higher prices... it is a family fun place but yes, somewhat pricey but in the environment we are in now , everything is getting pricey and they also have to cover the cost of so many activities... I have not bowled here , or played in the game room to make a judgment on them activities, but it is a kool and fun place... the bartender is somewhat dry but the service was great ...plenty of big screen TVs for sports at many angles and enough to watch several different games ... all in all , this is an awesome place for me ... id recommend this establishment for good times and sports entertainment"
