"I have been here twice now and only for brunch. I don't get to Story Hill often but this is a great spot. The atmosphere is both fun and sophisticated. And the food is both delicious and inventive. The restaurant has been busy both times I've visited but I was able to get a seat at the bar. They have Valentine coffee. Service is always attentive and nice.I have had the shakshuka on my first visit. There are lots of variations on this dish out there. I liked Story Hill BKC's with its sumac mayo and smoked lentils. The naan bread is perfect for capturing the perfect bite. More recently I had the spinach and mushroom waffle. I almost overlooked it on the menu but I'm glad I tried it. It's a savory waffle with poached eggs, feta, shallot marmalade, drizzled with a little truffle oil and accompanied by broccolini and a small salad. The dish had a nice balance of light and heavy elements. There is a nice selection of desserts and bakery items. I had the day's coffee cake--triple chocolate. I tried to take small bites and enjoy it with my coffee. The menu seems to change from time to time and there were a few specials available. The people sitting next to me said that they'd never had anything bad there. This is definitely on the rotation when I'm in the area."
"Great burgers, great apps, great beers, great bartenders.I went here with my toddler and they were very accommodating. When the description says cozy, they ain't kidding, but the charm makes the place feel like home."
"I asked for lunch recommendations from some local folk at a trade show I was at. They suggested Wild Roots as well a cheese shop across the street (will stop there next time). Man, So. Much. Flavor. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting but it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. But: delicious. The fries seemed like they were handmade for me, and the sandwich was a cacophony of flavor, I was a little sad I broke the egg yolk before I picked it up, but plate dipping was just fine.I asked the best spot to sit solo and they reminded me that outside was an option, so I sat outside. Mid day it's a quaint little area with minimal traffic so it was a nice lunch.Definitely stop by if you haven't before you won't regret it!"
"After hot yoga a friend and I wanted to try this new to us restaurant. A Saturday afternoon it wasn't too busy but it did get busier the longer we stayed lol. It's a cute place to have lunch. I ordered the Cheesy Steak Sandwich and a Pomegranate Margarita. My sandwich and margarita were really good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Even when they became busier she still checked on us. The margarita was huge compared to other restaurants and I loved that they used Pom pomegranate juice. As for the Cheesy Steak Sandwich it included hearty slices of ribeye with fresh provolone and mozzarella cheeses, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and garlic aioli, loaded between slices of grilled panini. I will definitely return!"
"Have you stopped in to have some of the best sandwiches in the world? If you haven't, what are you waiting for? All of them are delicious. You may be thinking, you probably haven't tried them all, but I'm pretty sure I have. Koppa's is a neighborhood dream. From the banana tree, to the taxidermy and Jesus tributes scattered around, this place is a true jem. I come here for an occasional sandwich, ice cream fix and alcohol run. They have a great selection of beers and liquors. I feel the prices are fair for a corner store and the staff is always friendly! They are fully stocked with essential produce -- some of it doesn't always look the best, but it gets the job done if you are in a bind. Also make sure to check expiration dates in here as well!"
"The food is fabulous!!From my sons chicken tender and fries, to our crab dip.My chef's special was amazing. Filet over au gratin potatoes with asparagus and hollandaise sauce.Hubby had the draft house burger which looked fabulous.Adult son had Wisconsin Mac and cheese. We spent about 150 and it was well worth it.If you like stout- the "This old girl's sticky bun" was great!!!"
"Got a last minute open table reservation, the place was not crowded on a Friday night. Maybe should have been my first clue. Let me say this --our server, Brittany, was really great! She was attentive, knew the menu, came back to refill drinks, and fast! The food ....well. It was okay. The burgers were overdone, dry and not very tasty. You're better off with build your own because you can add your own flavors. The specialty burgers are blah. Lots of sides to choose from. The appetizer options & alcoholic shakes looked good but we didn't indulge today. Just for reference- 3 burgers, 1 sandwich, 1 side, wings & 2 beers was $115"
"Great service on a Saturday. Wish they had a dark roast on tap not just medium. Ordered my own "Red Eye" and added 4 shots of espresso. Well done! Wine selection is absolutely stellar. I love that they have CBD-infused Kombucha! Pure awesomeness! I look forward to trying more CBD coffee drinks in the future! Overall! A very WELLhandled busy Saturday with an enjoyable time because the business had the proper amount of workers to get the service done very smoothly for patrons! Bravo!"
"The options at Brennans are unparalleled for Madison, and their sandwiches and meat counter are also excellent. Try a pressed sandwich or some steaks to go and you won't be disappointed."

Omg... this place gives me ALL the feels! Ambiance A. Such a cool bistro vibe. Service. A++++. Sam is amazing. Across the board. Food. Such attention to detail. I can't wait to come back for dinner. I had to try the steak sandwich because it was such a glorious combination. #trufflemayo. The French Silk pie was beyond melt in your mouth. Sam suggested the perfect wine to accompany my sandwhich. a+

Last night was our first time here. Our waitress was really nice, the jalapeño cucumber margarita was DELICIOUS, and the burgers were big and juicy and very flavorful! The kind of burger that you need to take off your rings to eat because of all the juices. The decor is nice and inviting and kept clean. 10 out of 10 recommend

Wild Roots exceed my expectations. We were in the area looking to celebrate a birthday and found this gem. Service was top notch, they were super friendly and personable. The cocktail menu was endless with so many unique flavor combinations. Everyone at our table ordered a cocktail and they were all freshly made and had so much flavor. The Friday bluegill fish fry was delicious. It was hot and crispy and came with a coleslaw that was made with ginger that was surprisingly amazing. The dessert list was extensive, we ordered the warm cheesecake pastry w/ice cream, Yum!This place definitely took me by surprise with the quality. I really can't say enough good things about this place, I image I will be back frequently.

This is a hidden find in Fitchburg, I can't believe we had never been. We had great service (shout out to Rebecca) and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The place was busy on Friday night, but it was fun to get out!We both had the peartini which was a little watery tasting and bitter in a strange way. Other than that, everything was delish! I had the chicken piccata and we split sweet potato fries, which were amazing. My partner had a pesto grilled cheese -- holy goodness! The tables are a little bit close together, so things feel cramped and you are very close to those dining beside you. It's a small place but definitely good.

I drove past this several times and assumed it was just a corner store/small grocer, until I noticed the sign for sandwich specials. I went it for the $3.99 lunch special, which was over by the time I got there. However they have an extremely large variety of sandwiches, many with funny names, most of which seem to be variations on common sandwiches with extra toppings. The names and the variety and the minute differences do make it hard to choose a sandwich, I eventually settled on on what appeared to be a variation of an Italian panini. The ingredients were good, and fresh, with plenty of meat. It was about normal sandwich size. It appears they just used regular sliced bread in a panini press. The extra ingredients in this case were sliced raw peppers, which seemed odd, but I wanted to try the sandwich as it came. They didnt make sense to me as an extra ingredient. It did seem like a small sandwich for the $8 price tag.Looking around, it at first appears to be your average small grocery store with a deli counter but there are lots of interesting details. There are recliners and lounge chairs to relax in while waiting for your food. There is a moose head. There is lots of quirky decor mixed in with circa 1960s corner store lights and shelving-- personally I prefer the retro, non-remodeled feel, compared to the rebuilt gentrified stores elsewhere.I didnt look at any of the grocery items, but there were some snacks at the register that caught my eye. The prices seemed a little steep and I didnt need them so I opted against.I dont know if I'd go out of my way for any of their sandwiches, especially at the price point. I'll have to try more and see if there's one that's magic. The one I tried was good, but not magic, and $8 for a normal sized sandwich. But still, this is way better than your average corner store grocer and I bet it's a gem if you live nearby.

I'm came here while looking for a restaurant in Janesville to meet my parents at. I loved their menu! The food was incredible. It was so good I didn't take pictures... oops! I got the Seared Tuna bowl and it was delicious. Super fresh and filling. My dad got the duck breast and he practically licked the plate. My mom got the Chicken tenders which she raved about. She said they were hand breaded, which was rare. Our server was lovely. She listened and laughed when my dad made silly jokes which was appreciated. The building is surprising. I never would have expected a restaurant here. It was posh and nicely decorated. Because it's a shared building, the bathroom is in the hallway across the restaurant. It's pretty average, but suitable.

Nice employees, lots of seating, very large selection of beers and wine. The coffee drinks are good but not amazing and their prices are pretty steep. $6 for a 16oz iced latte...

"We stopped in for an early fish fry and we were hungry! We were seated right away. Alex, our server, was so nice and attentive. Greeted us with a big smile! The beers were excellent. But the fish fry was the star! It was hot and very delicious! River West Stein breading was so tasty!! Thanks for an excellent meal!!"
"Great coffee! Consistent quality and order fulfillment times. Store is always clean. We really enjoy their Avocado Jack Wrap (vegetarian friendly).Only complaint is the cashiers could be consistently more pleasant. About 40% to 50% of the time I would assess the behavior of the cashier as slightly rude, based on my last several Sunday morning experiences. I know, I know... what am I expecting on Sunday mornings. But still, hang overs don't excuse poor customer service."
"First time visiting the Dells and this place was located near the Dells Boat Tour entrance. We were a bit hesitant to eat here because of previous reviews, but we decided to give it a go anyways. Our server, Francisco, was great. He went out of his way to make this a nice visit for our party of 8. There was a kids' menu, which had plenty of choices for our 3 kids. My husband and I shared the Brat Burger with onion rings, house made chips and onion dip. It was delicious. The others in our party had the ribs, the Prime burger and the chicken wings. All were good with generous portions. We ate inside, but the outside patio looked like a good option as well, despite a previous negative post regarding the appearance of the patio furniture. Our food came out quickly, and I would recommend coming here to sit on the patio so you can enjoy the views from there while you dine."
"This is probably my favorite spot on the West Side to bring a good book and cozy up with some coffee or iced tea. The staff is extremely friendly and the drinks are great. The pastries and cookies and breads are fantastic, too! (Grab one of the espresso chocolate chip scones when they're fresh, they'll turn you into a morning person, guaranteed). They make a REAL macchiato here, and really, you can't go wrong with any of the espresso drinks.I do think the non-baked-goods food across all Barriques locations has gone downhill a bit, but that's really a Barriques problem and not specific to this location, and doesn't reflect on any of the location staff. (e.g. the turkey avocado club sandwich used to be amazing, but Barriques as a whole has switched to this sorta depressing microwave-ready bacon that's pale and floppy and just kinda grim. Also what happened to Zapp's chips?!). As a whole, the hot food suffers in comparison to, say, Indie Coffee, whose sandwiches and waffles are some of the best around. On the other hand, a meal is not what I go to Barriques for.Look, it's a coffee shop, and it does all the coffee-shop-things about as well as they can be done, AND you can get a beer or some wine. It's cozy and nice and the staff is fantastic, so for my tastes, I can't give it anything other than 5/5."
"Excellent quality vinegars, oils, and liquors--can seem like a splurge but an excellent selection for either your home or gifts.Oils and vinegars are decanted into the bottle size of your choice. You can either purchase bottles at the store or bring your own bottles. Using up your cooking oils and vinegars at home and then bringing your clean bottles is a great way to save money here. Staff will label your bottles and gift wrap anything you like free of charge. Need to get a gift in a hurry? Buy a packaged gift set or make your own.You can taste anything in the store except bottled wine. The vinegars can be very creative, I enjoyed the honey basalmic vinegar as a slightly sweeter alternative. Huge liquor selection as well, including an excellent whiskey and scotch selection (the only thing really lacking is tequila). Some Wisconsin products are represented.I bought a cream liquor and it was slightly chunky, which doesn't mean it'll make you sick, but aesthetically unattractive, and the staff immediately replaced the bottle. Replace your oils and vinegars here!"
"Excellent sandwiches, wraps and soup at good prices. Caprese sandwich was dLish and I took a huge bite of my man's turkey jalepeno wrap and it was crazy good. Eat here McHenry! Oh...and you can shop for your week meats too. Bonus!"
"Best bar in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Great service. It's always happy hour. Solid patio out back. I would highly recommend spending as much time as you can here"
"Good food: I like the chicken gyro, in the past hamburgers have been good and tonight I had a tackle which was good except the flour tortilla was a little small.Good beer: a selection of craft beers ... cause you're old.Happy hours: featuring some of said good beers, cheap.Live music: because you were sick of that Justin Bieber song. Nice atmosphere! What's not to like? The other Yelp reviews."
"Super friendly service.Convenient.Relatively inexpensiveBus Cards! They accept cash only or you get a $1 charge - I wasn't aware of this, so the gentleman waived the fee. Nice!I was pleasantly surprised - reminding me once again to never judge a book by it's cover!"
"We seem to end up here when we're up at the lake for girls' weekends. Last weekend we were here for the bags tournament. The weather cooperated so it was held outside. They had a DJ that was the announcer and quite funny. It's mostly locals that frequent this place. The bags tourny gets a little cut throat the drunker the locals get so be aware. Also I heard sometimes bag teams come through so now they draw names for teams which I think is only fair. Fun crowd on a Saturday afternoon. Cheese curds were top notch and service was quick even during the busy games."
"If you want sassy service with a smile, great food and a friendly atmosphere: This is the place for you! Hands down, the best Bacon Double Cheeseburger in the area. Nice char on the meat, crisp bacon, fresh bread and two cheeses make for an incredible end to the day. My fiancee ordered the all-you-can-eat cod fish fry and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and preparation. Choice of fried or baked (if I remember right). He ordered the fried. Nice plump pieces, crispy and clearly made to order.A nice little find! We'll definitely come back for more food and fun!"
"The food here is absolutely delicious! The wings are fried to perfection. The Legacy sauce, which I'm pretty sure is mayo based, is tangy, unique and downright addictive. The tacos, whether beef or chicken are on point and the portions of everything are plentiful. If I was simply rating Legacy on the food, I'd give them a 7 on a 5 star scale! It really is THAT good. However, everything else is terrible. I have been here on multiple occasions, and to say the place is run poorly is being polite. The waitstaff/servers are not knowledgeable when it comes to prices or specials and the bartenders are unfamiliar with cocktails outside of spirit mixers. It takes forever (no exaggeration) to get your food. 35 minutes for tacos on Taco Tuesday when only 2 other couples are in the restaurant is pretty bad. Today my friends and I waited 40 minutes for a second wing/taco order and ended up canceling and going to another establishment up the street. The piece that bothers me the absolute most about this place is the fact that they clearly don't have an inventory manager. Every time I have come in to support this small business, they are out of something essential. Ice, vodka, beef on Taco Night. Today they were out of soda. Seriously?! Each and every time I have been told they are out of something, I am also assured that "it's coming in 45 minutes". Oh and we were also told that if we wanted to order something other than burgers or wings, that we needed to wait until more staff came in. Mind you we were placing our order at 6pm, dinner time. I feel like Legacy has been open long enough to have worked out the new business kinks. As much as I love supporting small businesses and love the food when I finally get it, I don't anticipate this place becoming a favorite!"
