BWB Shakes

Brian the chef back there makes the absolute best smash burger outside of Chicago. It's tough because once you have a really good smash burger it feels like all other non-smash burgers are just weird loads of meat on a bun. Big portions, great prices ($14 for burger and fries) Pro tip: grab some cheese sauce on the side for dipping the fries. Its heavenly.

Frustrating, with bad food and worse service !!!! Placed $56 order yesterday incl $5 tip since it was a curbside order. They would not, & will not, answer phone so placed order online. After waiting for curbside, nobody came with food. So my 90 yo mother decided to go inside so she could see the place. After calling for assistance and no staff in sight or responding, she retrieved the food from the case. The sweet potato fries were cold, hot dogs lukewarm, the falafel were hard as rocks and dry, and my smashburger was nothing like picture. There was no "smash" or flatness, no crust, meat was thick and gray. No char or grill AT ALL. Plus, we didn't get our drinks. We came from 18 miles away to try this place, and now they won't even answer the phone so I have to leave this review. AWFUL EXPERIENCE, TERRIBLE FOOD.

The burger was a little over-salted but still really good, looking forward to trying the shakes .

This is a small shop with seating available outside. While it's not the fanciest place, the food is phenomenal. We got the BWB Double Smash Burger and when I tell you my first bite was absolute bliss, I'm not exaggerating. It's delicious. The woman who took our order was also very nice and was very patient as we looked through the menu on our phones. Unfortunately, the screens didn't display a menu. She also brought our food out to where we sat. I think what really stood out during my meal is how kindly she was to every patron, from someone picking up their food to the kids who hung around eating their food and ordering shakes and whatnot. Overall enjoyed it.

A solid choice for burgers. BWB prides themselves on their smash burger, which comes tasty and gooey with cheese and grilled onions. They also offer a pub burger, for those who don't care for the smash style. It's good, but the smash burger is better. Their fries tend to be kinda dry and flavorless, so dressing them up with carne asada or truffle oil might be a good choice. Hot dogs are the standard Chicago dog, done right, tasty but not hard to find around here. The shakes are fine, but nothing stood out to me to make them worthy of the top billing they get here. BWB also offers bowls and chicken, haven't tried them.The venue is pretty much takeout only, although there is a table on the sidewalk nearby. Service is quick and friendly. If they had better fries, they'd be rock stars, as it is, I'm happy to come here when I'm looking for a good burger.

Burgers and truffle fries are excellent. Easy parking on week nights. Only 2 stars because they forgot to include fries for the kids meal. It's very disappointing to bring dinner home and your child's meal is missing 1 of 2 items. It wasn't a complicated order, just 3 food items.

Really Enjoy the food and being able to eat it at Ravinia brewery inside or outdoor seating.

So first I was excited to see a burger place next door to Ravinia Brewery because I really wanted a burger with my beer. I walked in to find it's just a fast food to go spot with a couple tables outside. The online menu is way different than the inside menu and the inside menu was out of 50 percent if the menu items. I was one of four customers in my group to order food. i ordered first and 20 minutes later my food was done. I ordered a pub burger medium well and it was dripping with blood - undercooked to say the least and took 20 minutes . The pub burger wasn't even on the inside menu, I only asked for it because I saw it online. i wish the owner well in his endeavors, however I wouldn't recommend this place unless In the area and not many options. Like I said I wanted a Burger to accompany the beer I had a Ravinia brewery.

When BWB reopened late last year with a name change and new menu, we were psyched. We ordered burgers from them in the past and really enjoyed our meals so for New Year's Eve, we returned for takeout with BWB Shakes.This time, we ordered their Wagyu burger, Grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich, 10 piece wings and Oreo shakes to go. Everything we ordered was excellent and our food stayed fresh and hot. To us, the meal was worth the drive to Highland Park.For those familiar with the old menu offerings, you'll notice the recent menu has changed. Some popular items (i.e. The E-I-E-I-O burger which had bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg and house made Bacon Bourbon jam) were eliminated. I asked the owner about it but fear not! You can still order their classic E-I-E-I-O through online ordering and customize your burger.For a delicious fast casual meal, try them out. It's close to Ravinia where you can grab a quick bite to eat prior to the show. There are few places on my list where I go for burgers and after 3 successful visits, they are one of the best burger shops in town.

Placed an order 15 mins before closing, the man who answered the phone was very friendly, the food was EXCELLENT as always!! Malt shake was very delicious. The burgers are just soooo good, we can't get enough
