Brother’s Backyard Barbeque

I stopped here for restaurant of the week and I'm a bbq hound so it was only a matter of time. The place doesn't look like much, it's not a date night place but it does have a few tables for dine in. The guy working the counter was doing a great job and gave me a rib tip sample that was delicious. I ordered the rib dinner that comes with two sides for $20, unfortunately they were out of greens so Mac and beans would be my sides. I always say if you smell smoke/grill in the air outside it's most like going to be good and I smelled the grill as I walked up, not a wood smoke smell.My rib dinner looked good that was only 5 bones with a nice bark. The ribs were moist/tender fall odd the bone with a backyard grill flavor, not a wood smoke flavor. The rids were delicious and tasty with the seasoned rub. The beans were good but very sweet. The Mac and cheese was over cooked to mush, not Al dente and slightly creamy with a small cheese flavor topped with cheese. The Mac and cheese could have been seasoned better like the ribs but still good.Overall I had a great lunch and I like the grill flavor because most places use wood smoke so I like this style to break up bbq from time to time. I would definitely stop back for more of the menu.

So two weeks ago on my way to Walmart I noticed one of those inflatable tube men on National Avenue and spotted this joint. Me and a friend of mine was looking to try some soul food or a good barbeque joint that we never been to. When I got home, I text my friend to check out the their Facebook page and within 5 minutes I got a 'hell yeah!' reply so we decided to go Friday that week.We got there around 4:00 and was next in line to order. I was jonesing for some rib tips so I went with the rib tip dinner that, a double order of mac and cheese with a soda and my friend got the same thing but got greens and a side of potato salad. While waiting for our food, a fresh batch of ribs came off the grill to be chopped up and I just filled with happiness because those rib tips were going to be me and my friends order.The amount of tips you got and the size was ridiculous. Nice size pieces and sauced up the way just like I like them, messy! We were both in heaven and my friend really enjoyed their sides. The mac and cheese was alright but I think it was just the time of day when we got there to eat because one of the pics I saw it looked really good. I would not let this deter me from trying this side item again. But overall for the price and the amount of food you get was worth every cent.Side note, my niece ended up finishing off the rest of my rib tips and she said she needs more of that in her life. I will definitely will be back and give the brisket a try.

I've visited three times and the food has been excellent on all visits! Located on the corner of 36th & National, I consider this place a hidden gem. They haven't been open long, so be patient as they work to get into a groove.I've had their brisket, pulled pork, rib tips, baby back ribs, chicken, and sausage and all have been delicious! I still want to try their smoked turkey and turkey leg, but their meats have been among the best BBQ I've had! The chicken, in particular far exceeded my expectations!Their sides are solid. I noticed an improvement in texture with the baked beans feom the first visit to most recent visit, but I liked the mac-n-cheese better on the first visit. It was creamier and better seasoned the first time. Their creamy Cole slaw and greens were other sides I enjoyed. The fries and potato salad were good, but didn't stand out to me. They did not have cornbread on the menu. You can order sandwiches, dinners, or 2 and 3-meat combos. Important things to note: 1. They have a dining room.2. They will put sauce on most, if not all, of their smoked meats, so if you want no sauce or sauce on the side, then tell them when you order. I am a smoked BBQ purist. I want to taste the rub and their smoking method. Their sauce is good, but their meats are great and don't need sauce.3. They don't have a website, and it's not easy to find their menu on their Facebook page. 4. They are open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.5. They accept cash and cards.Definitely check this place out because their BBQ is really good! I will be back!

Was looking for a spot for some good BBQ, I need look no further. Tried the rib tips and my goodness they were so good. Got the dinner which came with two sides, I chose greens and baked beans. I will definitely return for the rib tips, I think I will also try the smoked turkey leg too. Good portions on the dinner, could have spilt into two meals but it was so good I couldn't stop eating. Good service too, talked me through what to order.

This spot is really new and i found it on doordash. Really good bbq. Generous portion size. Very friendly staffs. ordered rib tip dinner and brisket dinner and all the food was tasty. This place is now on top of my list when I want some bbq

Food was good. Green need a little more flavor but everything else was good. We ate in but would suggest take home they were out of soda and had no ketchup for fries

Great bbq and very great service. The people working were very kind and helpful. Get there early to be sure to get what you want they run out fast.

Such good bbq! The chicken and rib tips were delicious. The mac and cheese was out of this world!! Can't wait to come get the greens.
