Brodie's Beef

With so many Illinois license plates around here, it's no surprise I guess that there are several options in the Lake Geneva/Como/Delavan area for Chicago style dogs and beefs. Brodie's does a great job. Great dog, decorated correctly, and they kick it up a notch with what appear to be hand-cut shoestring fries. Nice!A little pricey at $8 for a dog, fries and medium drink, but hey, moneybags, you're on vacation! LOL

This is a very good place to get an Italian beef sandwich, fries are excellent. Service is great. Haven't had anything else but everyone looked happy.

Always great food love their Italian beef and Chicago style hotdogs. Definitely worth stopping and giving a try. Highly recommend.

The food is amazing. As good or better than portillos!! The staff have good hygiene. And the boss is a wonderful man!

This was NOT a good experience$12 for 2 dogs ,fry drink- Never AgainDogs were small, and skin was very tough, I'm guessing under cooked . Fries were greasy and over salted, couldn't eat most, fountain drinkI do not have any plans to return.Update: Business owner responded very quicklyHot dogs were dropped to cook when ordered by the blond haired lady. No way would they be ready in the 5 mins before being prepared.I know what kind of fries you serve, way too salty , maybe staff should clean the fry tray out a couple times a day. The pickle was bigger than the dog. I would have said something, but it was a to go order, and I was back on 43, in 3 mins after walking out the door! I wasn't going to turn around just to tell staff that what they put out, wasn't any good.Just telling it like it is !

I usually go to a place in Elkhorn but sadly it is closing soon. So I tried Brodies. I was very disappointed. First it took a long time to get my food. The fries were burnt. I asked for a cup of juice for my beef. They gave me one of the tiny cups that they use for dipping sauce. The beef couldn't even fit in it to dunk it. The sandwich had half the meat the place in Elkhorn gives. I don't like giving bad reviews but I was very disappointed.

Very solid beef and sausage combo and the fries were very good as well. Unlike many combos I have had at other places, the sausage was very moist and had a lot of flavor. Suggest ordering a side of au jus with the sandwich as it was very flavorful. Service was very good and employees were all very friendly.

I came here to try the beef. I gotta say it was like trying Chewy cold cut. The pictures on yelp look great but it's nothing what you get. It was one of the worst beef's I ever tasted. The meat was very light and looked like they just took it out of a bag of cold cuts. Fries were pretty good. I decided to try a milk shake and that was just your plain milk shake nothing special. Definitely not coming back.

Beef was good and tender.Could have been a little more spicer like in Chicago.Gyro was very good.

We had a wonderful experience at Brodie's beef. Everything we had was delicious, the hot dogs and fries are especially amazing. It was an inviting place and the owner even went as far to walk around to pick up trash and ask us how everything was, he even gave us a free jar of their Chicago style hot Giardiniera because we told him we came from Texas. Will definitely come back here when I'm in town visiting family
