Food, drinks and service was fabulous and much better than expected. Took my daughter for her 18th bday and chose this place as some of the fox lake area restaurants were closed for end of year cleaning. We had jumbo shrimp special and filet medallions (house special) with risotto type rice and chunks of lobster on top. Absolutely Delicious. We will be back !!!

My best friend Michelle and I always have a good meal here. This is similar to a typical Wisconsin Supper Club experience; however, it's not technically a supper club. They also have a good brunch, but it is temporarily suspended until 8/13. I like the steaks, Alfredo, and French Onion Soup. It's nice that such a nice selection of potato is offered including potato salad and cheesy potato in addition to the usual offerings. The cheesy potato features little bits of cooked potato mixed with cream cheese and cheese. It's different in a really good way.We had an issue on our visit. A large birthday party was being really load and we could not converse. We were quickly and efficiently moved to another portion of the restaurant. This effectively solved the issue and we were very pleased.

Well....we really wanted to leave a better review but I think the chef lost its taste buds. I don't like to leave bad reviews based o one meal but what we ate here tonight made it so we will never come back.Everything was way too salty. We Both ordered the smokey molasses seared Pork chop and it should have been labeled as salted Crusted Pork chop. The pork chop itself was very tender. Mine was a little undercooked so my husband traded with meAs his was medium done. They both tasted the same however, so salty we could not finish them and did not want to take them home. We both had garlic mashed potatoes. My husband and I had a disagreement if the potatoes were real or powdered . I voted for powdered because of an after taste whereas my husband thought the aftertaste was related to the garlic.Delivered to our table was a small loaf of garlic bread which was fresh and soft but not necessarily tasty. Next up was soup which we ordered differently. I had the French onion. This was Not a baked French onion but a salty beef broth with ample cooked onions. There seemed to be bits of melted cheese in the little cup making me think that at some timeThere was some French onion soup prepared with the cheese melted on top and what was left got dumped into the soup pot. My husband took the chowder. He took one bite and pushed it away. He said it wasHorrible. I was reviewing everything so wanted a second opinion. I took a mouthful and agreed that it did not taste like any clam chowder I had ever eaten before. It was flavorless and bland. Between the two of us we may have eaten one of the 2 pork chops. I even tried to scrape the top of the pork chop off to reduce the salt but it did not work.On the plus we got there around 5 on a Friday evening and were able to get a table right away. Our waitress looked sad and like she was just going through the motions but she was adequate in refilling my husbands soda and getting our meal to us right away. The place filled up after we got there and there wasStanding room only. That has to say something about the food or maybe the alcoholic drinks are good.

In town visiting our family and we came on a Friday night ... they were busy so there was a 30min wait but we were able to sit at the bar and enjoy drinks before our meal. I tried my first Wisconsin old fashioned and it was wonderful!!! Our entire table actually ordered the Friday night special fried walleye and baked walleye both were amazing and the garlic mash is to die for!! Our server was super sweet as well.. can't wait to return when we come back home to visit

I've read a variety of reviews about this restaurant. I can't speak for other people's experiences. As for my own experience the evening of Saturday June 17 of this year, I start by saying "Don't judge a book by its cover." The outside of Brittain House may not impress; next door the home has a football goal post in the back yard. The parking lot is gravel. Then you walk inside, and it's like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz opening her door to a technicolor dream in Munchkinland. The bar is decorative; the mixologist is an expert. Our group of five was seated about a half-hour after we arrived. We were okay with this; we enjoyed the relaxing environment of the bar. I ordered what might have been the BEST prime rib I've ever had, and I've had a lot of prime rib over the years. I don't toss compliments around easily, and Waupun doesn't have many dining choices. And even if they did, I think Brittain House is truly a hidden gem.

Came here for brunch with my family on the recommendation of several locals. We were not disappointed. It's kind of part sports bar with big TVs and video gambling machines in the bar area, and there's also a separate dining room. The food was on point and so was the service. There even seemed to be a little humor from the waitress with the mug she gave my dad from their eclectic selection. Maybe it was a coincidence but we got a little kick out of it. Very crispy bacon and perfectly cooked eggs.

Tonight I enjoyed the best prime rib I've ever had! It had a perfect sear on the crust but melted on the tongue. The rub was beautifully herby with just the right amount of kick from the pepper. Divine! Of course, being in Wisconsin, I had to make it a combo and try some of the pan-seared walleye. It was flaky, well seasoned and crispy without being greasy. My daughter had the Brittain House Special which included chunks of lobster in a butter sauce and she was in heaven! Not pictured (because we inhaled them too quickly ) were the naked cheese curds, Grasshopper Pie and salad with a lemon vinaigrette. I love lemons and this dressing was so refreshing and delicious that I could have drank it. Simply a wonderful dinner!!!

The servers were friendly and it has the feel of a supper club which is nice. But the food quality is poor. French onion soup no croutons and the cheese was on the bottom of the bowl. Chicken cordon blu frozen prebreaded chicken and the ham and cheese served on top of the chicken. Weird. Fish was small and dry and tarter sauce was mostly Mayo. I hope the management reads this and makes some changes.
