Love this place! Of course it has an awesome selection of local (state and regional breweries) beers but it's in a quiet downtown right on the river. The bartenders are always fantastic and happy to talk beer with you. Definitely recommend a flight so you can try lots of fun brews you may not have seen before. They also have trivia, games, and a cool "cousin's trendy downtown apartment" vibe.

Living in the Twin Cities, I don't usually come to my hometown of Hartford with high expectations of good spots. In what seems like a myriad of townie bars, Brewed Omen is a diamond in the rough! I'm so glad that downtown Hartford is upgrading with places like this! As you descend the entry stairs, you are greeted with a glowing red sign that marks the spot and sets the classy, yet devilish theme of the brewpub. The space itself was cozy, yet cool with exposed brick and ambiant finishes. Plenty of different style seating...couches, high tops, a patio, and bartop. Service was great during our entire stay! The beer menu was very diverse, and after chatting with the bartender, is constantly changing! In a smalltown world of Bud Light and Miller Lite, I was excited to find some unique craft beers! Priced appropriately as well! We didn't get any food but the pretzel looked yummy and massive! We can't wait to make this a regular spot on our few trips home to see family each year!

Brewed Omen is our go to spot for a night out. There is a huge variety on tap that rotates so half the fun is selecting new brews and seltzers to try. It's a chill atmosphere where you can sit at the bar, on the patio or at a table with friends to chat or play a game. If you are lucky, they have live music. Staff is great! The menu is limited but great for a late night snack or small plates dinner. We absolutely recommend you check it out!

We've tried it three times. Not a relaxing afternoon bar. Too Kid friendly. Like drinking a beer at a daycare full of screaming kids.

Beautiful and unique bar in downtown Hartford. Lovely interior design and outdoor space overlooking the dam. Come for the unique beer selection (including sours which I love) and stay for the delicious food (think upscale bar food). Highly recommend to anyone in the area- this place is where it's at.

So I tried this place out last night. Got to say I was disappointed. Had high hopes but they let me down. Had a few diff beers, the Cream Ale was really good. Had a big pretzel which was also good but could have used a bigger sized dip cups. They have a nice small selection of bourbons as well, prices not too bad. Spent $80 or so. Here's the problem with this place...the atmosphere is a zero point zero. It's a cool space, down below street level with stone walls and a patio on the edge of the river. But other than that it has no character. Wayyyy too bright lighting, tables that look like they are from a bowling alley (poor attempt at epoxy "rivers"), no music playing and really bland decor. The patio was not lighted up (Edison lights, Firepit??). But I was most disappointed with the service. They were all less than friendly and seemed too engaged with talking to the people already drinking than to serve us. Stood at the bar for too long imo waiting for their attention. Nothing that can't be fixed but when competing in the Tasting Room field these days you need to be at a higher level. Probably won't return unless I hear changes were made.

This place has some great things and not so great. Not Great: The Employees. I have been here MANY times, always the same. My expectation=Hi, how are you, what can i get you? would you like to try any of the brews? Are you interested in food?Actual experience= employees looked very disinterested. feels like you are bothering them with your requests. NOT FRIENDLY, unless they know someone, then i see they can actually SMILE and converse. It's really the bartenders that are the problem. My Standard is Bilda's Friess Lake Pub, this is the gold standard of customer service. Above and Beyond kind and looking to help with your beer selection, extremely friendly and all have a great sense of humor. On a positive note, I do enjoy the food. Trivial nights & music bingo are very fun, but not because of the bartenders...just sayinCould use fire tables outside also.*i would love to come back and update this review if they made some much needed changes

Great food, service, beer selection, and an awesome bourbon selection. We stopped in after a football game with our whole family, we ordered a few flatbreads, nachos, and a large pretzel. Food was great, and everything was fresh. We were with a few people who had not been to Brewed Omen before and they raved about how great it was and that they couldn't believe a place like this existed in Hartford. Kids are welcome, we have older kids so they went up to Bridges 120 for a while before coming back down to join us for food. Space is beautiful and inviting.

Loved the potato skins and flatbread pizzas. We sat on a couch and played musical trivia. I had a berry type mixed drink that was very good. A fun place with great food and atmosphere!
