This is a boutique grocery store with exotic items. There was a variety of alcohols, cheese etc. They have a food counter as well. I ordered Friday special beer battered fish and philly cheese steak sandwich. Both was excellent. Especially the fish fry, I regret taking only 2 pieces. I should have gone for 3 pieces. This is the best fish fry I had. I cannot believe it came from a grocery store. And the prices were quiet reasonable as well. Pear cranberry fangipane tart from bakery was excellent. Almone croissant was good as well. Garlic & herb cheese was a very flavorful sandwich spread. I tried the purple door whiskey flavored ice cream. It was ok.

First time in Wisconsin and this store was conveniently located nearby our hotel. The wide selection of cheeses kept me busy, the market really did have a variety of healthy snacking options, too. It was refreshing to see something local and not visit the typical franchise chains. The market overall was very organized and clean. Bonus - there was a floral shop, too.

Foodie heaven! I used to visit Brennan's when they had a Brookfield location. I sorely missed them so decided to drive to Madison. I was immediately reminded of why I loved it so much. Not only is their produce aesthetically pleasing, it's the best quality. Their cheese selection is vast; I had to restrain myself from buying one of each. Lots of other local goodies to choose from and a beautiful meat case. There's also a deli and hot food section that I would visit weekly if I lived nearby. I'm on my last package of cheese, need to plan my next visit!

Lots of great international items and well priced. Too, their deli has some wonderful sandwiches! They will fill you up and give you tremendous flavors.

This place offers a wonderful selection of cheese, meats, beverages, vegetables and fruits. They have top notch associates around to help in a clean environment. This place's allure gets better with a fantastic sandwich shop in the deli.

This place reminded me of the combination of a Whole Foods and Trader's Joe. Lots of high end fresh fruits and produce. I got some bloody oranges, tangerine and caulilini. They are expensive as I spent almost $16 just for these 3 items. They carry a wide array of cheese, beers and pastries. But I can't justify paying $22 for a loaf of banana bread. Glad I checked it out. I wonder how they compete with its neighbor: Aldi.

You must visit Brennan's. Every time I am in Madison I stop. They specialize in all things WI. WINE, BEER. CHEESE. PRODUCE, MEAT, DELI. BaKery. COFFEE. TEA. I spend so much money in there they give me reusable bags and ice packs. I love it there. I highly recommend you visit. At. Once.

I am a regular shopper at Brennan's. They have such a great selection of produce, beer and wine. Real specialty items that you may have trouble finding elsewhere. However i'm here to review the offerings in their cafe. Brilliant sandwiches - today it was a fantastic grilled cheese using marinated fennel, glazed shitakes, arugula, and espresso bellavitano cheese. Rich flavors and the perfect lunchtime sandwich. Do not miss their BBQ in the hot case on Saturdays. Highly recommend the loaded beans and burnt ends. Folks at Brennan's are so helpful and friendly!
