Brazen Head Pub

We went at around 2pm on a Saturday and it was reasonably busy for a place that presents itself primarily as a bar. The location in downtown West Bend is great and it's central to the farmer's market and everything nearby. We were acknowledged quickly after sitting at the bar and the staff checked in on us throughout the visit.This burger has been ranked in the top ten in Wisconsin, and I think the quality of the beef itself was great. It was cooked perfectly to my request (medium rare) and tasted much better than cheap burger meat. I do think Skippy's in Thiensville has them beat on toppings, but I'd eat here again, no question. The specials during the week are very appealing too, including 50 cent wings. I was intrigued by several of the non-burger entrees and may try that next time.

Food was good. Good variety of beer on tap as well as liquor. Food is good. They have some specials such as a "fry of the month " this month was sour cream and chive (delicious). Next month is supposed to be cheese curds. They put their cheese on the bottom of the melts. Anything that says smothered is not as that should be on the top and a lot. Yes, we would come again. I would ask for extra cheese if you want anything smothered. Service was fairly quick and very pleasant.

Visited for lunch on a Friday and it was not crowded at all. The food service was very fast. Since it was Friday, I went for the fish fry. He said that You can never go wrong with their Guinness battered cod, but that the walleye was exceptionally good this time. It was fried with bits of garlic, which made it very flavorful. It was quite moist and flakey. We also got the Reuben rolls, which were very good. They were pretty much a Reuben sandwich in an egg roll, just as advertised. I would get both dishes again.

saw the best burger awards for WI so naturally had to try this. started with a Bloody Mary, which was fantastic. menu focuses mostly on a build your own burger -- which definitely works for me. lots of great sauces & add ons, so I was able to make it perfect for me. the burger was FANTASTICALLY cooked. so juicy & well seasoned ... and huge. definitely didn't need to finish it all but did because it was so good. I'd caution that it's a rather small place and I imagine gets pretty crazy during peak hours!!

Great burgers and a unique atmosphere! Build your own burger is a great option to get creative! Bartender serving us was prompt and answered my questions.

I've been coming to the Brazen Head since the day they opened and love it like it's brand new each visit. There isn't anything on this menu that disappoints.

Recommend the Brazen Beer Cheese Burger. It was so delicious paired with a Spotted Cow. The bartender was great and the place was casual and fun.

While not the famous pub with the same name in Dublin, this West Bend pub doesn't disappoint. While the kitchen maybe small, it cranks out delicious food. I've sampled burgers to fish fry to their brazen melt and have never been disappointed. Simple solid food in a relaxed setting. I am also impressed by their rotating tap list that caters to a wide variety of beer lovers. Bartenders and servers hustle and are quick to refill an empty glass. It's a great fixture to the WB downtown scene.

Located in downtown West Bend is a great location for an Irish pub. We stopped in for lunch and the classic looking bar had a few stools left. Started with a couple of draft beers although the selection did seem somewhat limited. Anyways we ordered a couple of burgers and fries and were totally pleased with the food as well as the service. The 1/2 lb burgers were hot off the grill along with some fantastic fries! The medium rare was a bit more rare than I liked so you may want to keep that in mind when ordering. Left completely satisfied and will certainly return.

They have a great rotating draft list, juicy burgers and absolutely love their Thursday wing night! You need to come early or they sell out.
