Boxed and Burlap

The atmosphere brings you in and makes you want to stay a while. The aesthetics of this place is 10/10 from the cute outside to the carefully crafted inside. You can find the cutest little nick nacks here. The staff were friendly and I asked for a surprise drink and the team blew it out of the water! If you're looking for a cute place that also offers a variety of seating whether you'd like to work or enjoy a conversation with a friend this would be the perfect place!

I wish they had some food aside from treats, like pastries. Coffee was great and ambience was great.

Love love love! Went to both of the two locations and they have similar vibes but each with its own charm. The indoor aesthetic was super cute. The Flagship location doesn't have food (just pastry items), but has a nice outdoor patio with string lights. The Downtown Delavan location had tons of indoor space and offers food too. Coffee was good, and the croissant breakfast sandwiches were too. Only bummer is they only serve breakfast until 10:30 am, which is typically what I want when I go to a coffee shop. I tried the lavender and chai lattes, both were yum! Would be a good WFH spot if you lived in the area.

I really liked the unique modern decor, friendly service, coffee and food (see pictures)! The Art Class area was another very unique and quality aspect to the building (see attached video).The coffee was delivered in a timely manner and was great...this is a great place to stop and relax with your morning caffeine fix. The food delivery (slow, at the counter with a confusing tag identifying whose it was and the order wasn't complete) was the reason for the 2* rating in Service. They really need to get this figured out if they want to be successful, as there was a waiting line of clearly frustrated customers trying to figure out which was theirs, when the order might be coming, etc. If you don't want to deal with that frustration, just stick with the coffee and pastries in the display case.For our lunch, my wife ordered the Mediterranean Salad with Chicken (see picture) and I went with the Cilantro Lime Mango Salad (see picture). Both of these tasted fantastic - I really liked the Cilantro Lime Mango Salad and the warm tortilla on the side was a great complement! Our friend ordered the Turkey Club (see picture) and really liked it also. His came out much earlier than the rest of the order without a person's name on the slip...so we believe he picked up someone else's sandwich as another was delivered later and sat on the counter unclaimed for quite some time.This is a top-notch place for coffee and the food options are unique and delicious. Be forewarned though that the counter food delivery is slow, confusing and frustrating. Simply outstanding. Often when I've visited high-concept cafés, they somehow miss a key element, but B&B nails them all: Ambiance, comfort, and coffee. Great job, Boxed and Burlap!

Both locations have great coffee and ambiance.I did have a complaint about their e-gift card policy, but the business owner did apologize and put the shipping fee I had to pay to have my e-gift card changed to a physical gift card on my gift card balance. I do still hope Boxed and Burlap updates their e-gift card policy so that e-gift cards can be redeemed in-store, or at the very least, allow employees to transfer balances to a physical card at no extra charge.(Original review) I love Boxed and Burlap and frequent the coffee shop regularly, but I'm extremely disappointed with their gift card policy. If you purchase an e-gift card, it can only be used for online purchases- not in-store. When I tried to use my e-gift card (which was gifted to me) in person, the store couldn't accept it or transfer it to a physical card.Instead, I had to go online, use my e-gift card to purchase a physical card, and pay an extra $5 for shipping, just to be able to use in-store. This process in unnecessarily complicated and frustrating for customers.I hope Boxed and Burlap updates their e-gift card policy so that e-gift cards can be redeemed in-store, or at the very least, allow employees to transfer balances to a physical card at no extra charge.

I bought coffee beans (Ethiopia) 3 weeks ago. It was good. Then I purchased another batch of beans, the same type-Ethiopia. I made coffee from these beans and it was extremely weak with no flavor. I Increased the amount of beans to make another batch.The coffee was very sharp and acidy.I took the coffee bag back and told the girl who did the roasting the above. I told her the temperature was either to low or the RoR was not calculated correctly. She wouldn't listen to me. She tried to sell me another variety and would not make a trade or refund the money. I left the remaining bag and walked out telling her I would not be buying coffee beans anymore. If you love good coffee then don't buy from this store. The service is unbelievable!
