The food at Bombay Sweets is incredible! Just the amount of spiciness and intense flavors. So many different things to try, and yet we never have a dish that wasn't great. The samosas are ridiculous and worth a trip, alone. The service can be a bit slow, but it's worth the wait.

A cute Indian restaurant on the south side of Milwaukee. We ordered a large amount of takeout with coworkers and when I went to pick it up the employee was very kind and updated me on where they were at with the order. Nothing was missing from our order, which is impressive with an order that size. They only serve vegetarian food, but even as a meat eater I was definitely not disappointed by the vegetarian option. When you walk into their restaurant you will be bombarded with beautiful looking desserts in their huge display case. Everything went smoothly with this experience.

Bombay Sweets has been a favorite go-to for quick Indian vegetarian food for years. Most recently, we got four orders of chole bhatura, with side orders of saag paneer and dal makhani. The chole bhatura was excellent. We also picked up a pound of gajar ki burfi (carrot burfi) for dessert, which is a nut-free burfi alternative. For years, this also has been our go-to spot for ordering samosas for parties or as a potluck dish. We've been here multiple times over the years to grab a quick meal before shopping for groceries next door. I recommend this as a consistently tasty place for Indian snacks, desserts, and to satisfy that craving for Indian food.

This is my go to place for freshly made Indian delectables. Desserts and snacks hold a special place in every indians heart. This place hits the spot with it's freshly made variety of Indian sweets and snack items. I walked in here on a busy Saturday morning and ordered a Chaat item to try. The Chaat tasted fresh and reminded me of home. One of the better places in the Milwaukee area

NOT GOOD FOR DINE-IN! You will starve to death before getting served at a table here. This is a shop to buy Desi sweets (Indian desserts) for takeout, but it is impossible to get service if you sit in the dining area. I've been here several times over the past few years. Only successfully received food as a dine-in customer once (it took almost an hour, food was only so-so). They are still pretty slow for takeaway, but most of the people who mistake this for a sit-down restaurant leave after 30+ minutes of waiting for a menu. I've only seen two people eating actual hot food here (besides myself, that one time I had hours to kill), and they were probably family of the workers. You may be able to get takeout, but plan on a long wait. Getting assistance with the sweets case takes at least 10-20 minutes, so make sure that you're not too hungry, not in ANY rush, and very patient. The sweets are standard the only good ones in town, but less expensive than driving to Chicago for exceptional desserts.

Bombay Sweets used to be my jam; I ate there quite often and it was fantastic without exception. I loved the food, the owners, and the deli-type atmosphere. It's one of the places I missed most while living out of state. I returned to find the restaurant had expanded, different atmosphere, and the food quality greatly diminished. It seemed under new management--not sure, but I hope they return to what made them great in the first place.

Did uber eats from bombay sweets and ordered pav bhaji. I received burnt pav ( bread) with curry of potato and peas... how disappointing! being an Indian restaurant how can you do that and serve your customers such food... also the curry was so spicy that I had to throw food. Total wastage of money!!

Go there and eat the fabulous food. Mention the substandard, inaccessible women's restroom. The food is very good and priced sensibly. As good as it has always been. However, it has not got an accessible restroom. I refer to the women's restrooms. There is no way to get a wheelchair near the door. Even if you could move built-in furniture, you could not get into the restroom. There are grab bars for those who can get into the room. But the toilet rocks! It is clearly not the quality that the dining room is. Almost forgot the hot water. Be careful! The hot water flows with steam! There is a cold tap and a hot one. Use the cold one first. The hot should be set to 120 F at most so as not to burn people. I think it is state regulation.

One of our favorites in MKE. We love the samosas and really enjoy the vegan options. A real gem.

Infuriatingly, every single item we bought 4/17/2024 (both the sweets and the salty snacks) tasted OVERWHELMINGLY of SOAP (likely dishwashing detergent). Have never experienced this before in any food bought from any business of any type. Most disgusting strong taste (and smell) of soap in the food. Must be horrible for health. I cannot imagine how they could make this dangerous mistake. We are reporting them to the DATCP for public health violation.
