Stan was a super waiter - so helpful and personable. I had the chicken wrap - it was so flavorful and the sweet potato fries were good. My husband said the perch sandwich was very tasty, he like then fish and the roll but wished the bun was toasted. The loaded potato cup was delish! We will definitely be back.

Unforgettable!! I came up for a family event and received an unforgettable experience! Cheese Curds were an unexpected delight!!I ordered cheese curds a second time in my life when I returned home in Jacksonville Florida. Had a great lazy Saturday morning at the new breakfast buffet! We got there around 9 o'clock and the service was great with plenty of room. The food was hot and delicious and we filled up too quickly. It's close enough to Lake Michigan so we were able to go for a walk afterward and enjoy the fall day. I've always been here for dinner and the brunch was a nice change and we would like to try and come back. I think had we made a custom omelet or Eggs Benedict we could have seen a better idea of the kitchen, but the buffet was great for us!

The views from the outdoor seating are wonderful, the service is stellar, the happy hour deal is great, and the food was very good! Came here with a large party for a late lunch/early dinner. The oysters pictured were all so big and juicy, and almost 0 grit in them. The cocktail sauce with the appetizer was so delicious and spicy. Definitely didn't taste like a jarred cocktail sauce and I really liked the choose your own adventure with all of the different ways to dress the oysters. The Asian seared yellowfin tuna salad was very good. The tuna was seared perfectly and was the correct amount of pink. I liked the blend of lettuces plus a lot of other fresh and crunchy textured items. The sesame dressing was a great compliment to all of the other flavors and textures. Enjoyed ourselves here, and felt really taken care of even though there were 7 of us.

Today was my first time eating at the boathouse restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised. It has lovely nautical decor overlooking the harbor.Sometimes the food at restaurants in prime locations can disappoint. But this was not the case. The broiled cod was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I look forward to coming back, perhaps by Boat.

We had a chance to stop by boat house for dinner on a Friday night. It is located in Kenosha downtown, and it has a very large seating area with outdoor seating and harbor view. If you are looking for a casual date night but with some unique vibe, this can be a good place!Food is just okay, it's a bit pricey as the portion was small. Fish fry was a bit too oily, and a bit too much breading. the chicken burger was okay but not as crispy as expected. The cheese curds (they should probably rename it as cheese cube...) was so small of a size and was not that good. Overall food part was weak.Service was quick, inside dining room had a good vibe. Might be able to come back for a drink but may not for the food.

I've been to the Boat House a few times. Never really a "stand out" kinda place, but it was good enough that we didn't avoid it. It has some nice local flavor and it's usually easy to get a table. One experience has changed all that. My son went into the Boat House looking for a job. He has a few years experience at a couple of other places, plus experience with food service at his university. They took his application, hired him on the spot, and asked to come back later that afternoon for training. He was rather excited. He agreed happily, came home and told me all about it, then went back for his training and orientation. He came home absolutely dejected. He told me that after he filled out all his paperwork and orientation, he took the trainer aside and disclosed to her that he was, essentially, autistic. He wanted to be transparent and honest with his new employer. He said that it never effected his work (again, he's worked in these roles before) but that he felt that he needed to be up front about things just in case they noticed anything about him. The trainer then pumped the brakes on him, told him this could be a difficult and stressful job, and that he should really consider if he wanted the job or not. She told him to go home to think about it and call her later to tell her if he was interested. As we talked about it, I was pretty ticked off. I asked how he felt about everything, and he was upset that he was honest and felt like he was getting punished for it. I said this really showed him the kind of people he'd be working with, and he agreed that was something to mull over. He slept on it, but decided he really wanted the job, as it was work he was both familiar with and liked. He called her that morning to let her know, and she indicated that she would need to talk to the manager to see if they were "comfortable" with it. Five days later he was called and "fired". He was told "they were not comfortable" with him working there. Thus the reason for my 1-star review. I'd give less if I could, but this would be the bottom. They don't seem to have a problem taking money from people on the spectrum, but they "aren't comfortable" with having those people work with them. We will never set foot in the Boat House again. My son has since gotten a better job with much better hours and pay. I felt I needed to share this experience so other people would know who they would potentially be dining with.
