BLAK Coffee Kenosha

I went out of my way to go to BLAK the day I went, but I am glad I did. My first thoughts were how it was larger than I expected it to be. I guess I really didn't know what to expect but it was a pleasant surprise that it wasn't a tiny place. The inside is cute, you have the coffee bar to the left as you walk in and the shop sells some art as well. I had no idea what I wanted so I asked about a few different items and the staff was amazingly helpful in choosing a drink that fit my preferences. There are so many different options and you can customize it with your choice of milks, etc. that you could probably go back fifty times and (with concerted effort) never have the same drink twice. I got the Brown Suga Baby because I like cold strong coffee. I added almond milk and the drink was amazing. The coffee didn't taste burnt (like a lot of big chain coffee does), and it wasn't sitting around premade (see earlier annoying parenthetical comment). I watched as it was made and it tasted fresh and it was definitely strong. I got my daughter a Lil Bit Latte and she kept saying how good it was. That's usually a good sign, so without trying it myself I will concede it was also good. All in, this is a great stop for coffee and I will definitely be back (probably this weekend). Go ahead and stop in, you won't be sorry you did.

I was recommended this spot by a local business owner after attending a fitness group. It's a welcoming place with 90's TV shows playing and clear menu recommendations. I was hungry and tried the sweet potato waffle, which I enjoyed (see picture). They have a huge drink selection with plenty of dairy alternatives for lactose-intolerant folks like myself. The establishment is clean, and they accept Apple Pay for those using smartwatches or smartphones, making it convenient for anyone coming from a workout.

Walking distance in downtown Kenosha, decent options, decent atmosphere. Not sure if the sole person behind the counter was the owner, or just an overworked employee.

So glad we ventured in from Milwaukee. My husband and I ordered a couple drinks: Puppy Love from the Valentine's Day seasonal menu and Brown Suga Baby. They were both delicious! The service was also amazing. We were greeted right when we walked in, and the owner was so friendly and helpful in making recommendations. BLAK Coffee is a refreshing and needed addition to the area coffee scene. The decor and the drink names are creative and an ode to legends--I can tell a lot of love and planning went into making this space organically happen. We will definitely be back.

I wish they had more options on doordash because it looks like they have a lot of good flavors. I didn't love the coffee but I think it's the flavor I chose and not a reflection of the coffee itself. The 2 flavor lightening bolt was amazing, it didn't have any traditional offputting energy drink flavor and it was very refreshing, would be a perfect summer time drink - I did the watermelon and passion fruit. Will be back for the lightening bolt again.

Blak coffee in Kenosha just opened and serves up an outstanding cup of coffee!! Owner Deshaun Foster said Blak Coffee is also the first Black-owned coffee shop in Kenosha. What a treat!! I had a Sugar Free Toasted Marshmallow Oat Milk Latte. Really really excellent!! My partner had a Café au lait - and she loved it! We also shared a cinnamon crunch cake that was so buttery and delicious!! They have a small seating area in the cafe with good vibes all around! You can feel the love!! Looking forward to our next visit!

It was great .. would've love breakfast with my drink. Maybe in the near future . Customer service was very pleasant

They are using a different roaster. Their house blend has good body with deep flavor. Now my favorite in the area!! And I cant forget the friendly staff.

I finally got to visit this coffee shop and I was pleasantly surprised. The owner of the shop was working this day he was very nice and provided me with information for the fall/winter drinks. The coffee shop is nicely decorated with family pictures which was a great touch. I enjoyed the coffee it was blended well and in my opinion it was much better than Starbucks. I will definitely be back. Thanks for having a great spot and I wish the owner the best!!!!

The best coffee I've had in a long time, excellent customer service and I can't wait to come back and try more!
