Big Sky Country Bar & Grill

First time trying lunch and drinks at Big Sky. Bar and Grill on a Thursday afternoon. Met a friend at this convenient midway point. Easy enough to accces from I-41 coming from Milwaukee. A few twists and turns, but GPS was accurate. Our server, Connie, was a true ray of sunshine. Friendly, efficient, vibrant personality and most accommodating to our desire to linger and talk during lunch. Ate in the side room away from bar TVs and noise, which was very nice. A Chicken Breast Sandwich and Patty Melt were both quite good, as were the onion strings and potato salad for sides. Felt welcome and taken care of at the bar afterwards. Will definitely recommend and plan to return here.

Went for dinner because we always see it from the highway. Was our first visit since the new owners bought it and changed the name. Had been a good restaurant prior. But Big Sky Country is primarily a bar now. Menu for food was very small and we weren't impressed. They show pics of nice looking food that isn't even on the menu - very odd. And their online menu had stuff that actually was NOT on the menu in the restaurant - maybe they have occasional specials ?? If you want a bar this place was hopping. We went for good food and unfortunately didn't find it here. We won't be going back. But hey if you want drinks you might like this place. They did play some great 80's music. Big tv's on the wall. Reminds me of a sports bar.

Ok i was hoping for better....had the patty melt and my wife had the burger.....while the service was very friendly and good, the food was non discript. Wont go out of my way to go there.

Best fish fry I've had in months, in a pleasant atmosphere. Our server was quick and efficient too.

So I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I came here, but everything was excellent. We stopped in to grab a beer and use our Pub Pass. The beer was cold and tasted good. We decided to also grab an appetizer and went with the jumbo pretzel. Wow, was it delicious! Hot, soft, and buttery. There were three dipping options and we went with the beer cheese sauce. I can't tell you how good it was, mouth watering! Our server Connie was so nice and made our visit all more enjoyable. Definitely worth a stop.

Food is mediocre to bland. Employees don't know what hours or days they're open. Whatever the outside decor is going for is lost. Early Sanford and Son, junkyard? They are bad neighbors and ruin warm weather with loud and obnoxious patrons, entering and leaving. The business has no business being in a neighborhood environment.

We went here for dinner tonight (Friday night). It was my 1st time here. It was busy, and people who arrived after us needed to wait for a table. Service was a little slow, however, our waitress was taking care of about 10 tables. She was very personable and juggled the tables expertly. I ordered the cod fish fry. It came with 3 good-sized pieces and frys. D had the hot dog with frys. Both meals were tasty. I will be going back to try the burgers and other sandwiches.

Food was great. Try the chili and one of their burgers. Chili is all meat lol. Great service and atmosphere

Good cod fry; best potato pancakes we have found in the area. Fridays are busy, so the service is slow, but everyone there is enjoying themselves, so it has a good atmosphere.

Just got home from our first time at Big Sky Country. We always see the place going by on Hwy 41 and finally got there to try it out. Our waitress was excellent (sorry but didn't get her name). I ordered a crispy chicken bacon ranch wrap with tater tots. My husband had a triple decker BLT with potato pancakes. Both were really good. We will definitely go there again.
