Between the Greens

I was coming home from disc golfing at nearby Tendick Park and wanted to grab lunch to go along the way. Between the Greens was a bookmarked place I hadn't been to yet, so I stopped and placed an order to go. I got cheese curds and The Whaler (a three piece cod sandwich) with waffle fries as a $2 add-on.The cheese curds were good. Not super crunchy like I prefer and they retained a little too much grease, but they seemed to be freshly battered, so that's a plus.On paper, $16 (as of 10/6/2024) for a fish sandwich may not sound like a good deal, but the sandwich was HUGE and tasted amazing. The $2 charge to add waffle fries was also worth it as they give you a ton for your money. I'd gladly order this again.Given their name and the golf greens in their logo, I assumed Between the Greens was a clubhouse restaurant at a golf course. Instead, I was surprised to see a country bar & grill that's simply close to a couple golf courses. For a moment I thought I may have been in the wrong place. Glad it all worked out.

We have gone several of their times, but recently went. Some of our guests got a few cocktails. I have to admit that we're pretty surprised at how high the barbell was. It wasn't the number of drinks but how expensive the drinks were. Given that this isn't a downtown high class bar with boutique drinks, we felt that the prices were completely high. We walked away completely surprised with the bill. Definitely gives us pause to go there again. At least for a while.

This is one of the last bastions of a Soup and Salad bars in. Our area. It is good, but don't expect a lot of variety in the offerings. I prefer shredded lettuce which was provided. They had beets that weren't pickled. The only protein on the bare were chopped hard boiled eggs which is fine with me. The chili was good diner chili with good amounts of meat. The atmosphere was loud and festive with the owners booming voice cutting through the ruckus. If you like a Wisconsin experience this is a great place.

Tried the Tuesday burger special and did not disappoint. Juicy, big burger hit the make for our crew.

Between the Greens is the best kept secret in Ozaukee County. I've been coming here for a long time and the food and service has gotten even better over the years. If you like Reubens, a stop here is a must. Fish fry is on point. The menu is classic Wisconsin bar food and everything I've ever eaten here has been exceptional!

Stopped recently on a trip through the countryside hoping to enjoy their rueben which is tasty. Sad to say we didn't even bother to eat. I am really disappointed that this local eatery is ignoring safety compliance during Covid-19 and frankly, bullying people that call them out and ask them to follow sanitation and safety rules. I want to continue supporting them, but honestly, it's worth a drive to eat somewhere else.

This was the first time I've been to Between the Greens and I will return. I ordered a patty melt, which is the best I've ever eaten before. My wife said the same about her burger. We also had mozzarella sticks and cheese curds, both were great. Don't let the Karens that complain about masks bring this place down. If I could I'd give them 10 stars.

Local sports bar with excellent sandwiches with daily specials. Nice salad bar. One of the best Rueben sandwiches you will come across. Friendly staff. Can get very busy at times.

Service is not very good. Seems like they have trouble with staffing. Food was good, but they prices could be a little more reasonable. Yet, I gotta say I like their daily food & drink specials.
