Bert's Beer & Liquor

If you are in need of beer, wine, liquor, seltzers, etc. then this is the spot for you. Despite the small size of the building, they have a great selection! It's packed in tight, which is honestly the way to go for them. It's always nice to support a local spot as well! the staff are very nice and they notice the regulars!

This is the best liquor store in town. I have been going there since 1978. Ritchie is the man! Love this place.

This place was in the middle of a residential neighborhood but not your typical hit and run package store. Exceptional craft beer selections and top shelf liquors and mixers. If I find myself trapped and lost in Milwaukee, and I need a quick fix while walking towards Lake Michigan, this will definitely be a top priority stop. Highly recommend. Make sure to ask for Bert. He'll hook you up.

The owners are awesome, the shop while small has a great selection of craft beer, and always getting new things in. While I'm not a hard liquor fan, they deffinetly have a great selection. It's a MUST STOP if your in the Bayview neighborhood.

Bert's is my go to liquor store because it is a few blocks away and Richie and family are always so nice. I also send family and friends there on their way out of town so they can pick up good beer and spotted cow to mule across state lines. Great selection of beer for a small store. Although, I wish they had a wider variety of Sauvignon blanc wines but the stock is heavy on the reds.

Bert's is located very close to Lake Michigan in a very nice little area of a few small businesses including Stag barbershop, Tasha Rae jewelry, Little Cancun Mexican Restaurant, and SmallPie. I live within a couple miles, and it's my favorite locally-owned liquor store. The place is absolutely packed with so many different varieties of beer, from seasonal microbrews to classic go-tos. I've picked up packs of beer from local breweries like Enlightened, Lakefront, City Lights, Mob Craft, and Eagle Park here along with a few wines which they have a substantial selection of as well. I once called ahead to ask about what types of gin they have, and the answer I got was a groan and then "A lot...anything you like: Hendrick's, Tanqueray, Bombay..." and then they hung up. I was a little confused at first, but I ended up stopping in later and there were, indeed, a LOT of gins. Even a special edition barrel reserve gin from Great Lakes Distillery! Additionally, every time I've visited, I've seen slices of sweet breads and cakes for sale from East Side Ovens as well as a selection of frozen pizzas and ice creams and bags of chips. I'm looking forward to buying some more locally-made liquor here in the future.

I have been a customer here for over 16 years. I like to cook with wine and liquor so I am able to run in and get suggestions of what to use. I am always sending my customers here that stop in my Walgreens looking for liquor. They have a great selection of microbrews and local beers. The place is small but they try to carry a good variety of wines. It is run by two brothers. The one I have been calling Bert all these years is actually the brother. Bert has a new restaurant by the lake by the same name. We like to stop by on Trick or Treat night and grab a beer to walk around with while our kids trick or treat. Prices are pretty competitive too!

Wonderful service and great beer, liquor and wine selection! The owner is very friendly and personable. I especially love the min pin that's behind the counter! Much love for Berts in Bayview!

I love Bert's and I am even doing research on it, sadly as a 10 year old I can not have beer but if you want to see my research come to Fernwood on open house night and see my research!
