Updated review: Good place for a quick corned beef sandwich and matzo ball soup. The soup was served lukewarm and I wish it had been served hot.The Chicago Style hotdog was just okay; the bun tasted old and hard and the hot dog was open face with too much mustard.I'm not a big fan of the breakfast, as a couple of times I've ordered eggs and hash browns, they've had a fishy taste. I usually stick to the lunch menu items here.

Stopped in on my way through for a healthier alternative to fast food. Man at the counter was very nice and gave me his recommendation but I just got a turkey sandwich with coleslaw. The food was ready in 2 minutes even with all of the tables full and the size of the sandwich was almost as impressive as its speed being made.

I have eaten Corned Beef Sandwiches in a lot of places from L.A. to N.Y. Benji's is simply fantastic. I ordered a plain corned beef on rye to be able to judge the cb. Wow, so moist, tender and not fatty. Great flavor, spot on. Rye bread was also simply perfect. Squeeze bottle of brown mustard was very handy. Also enjoyed the potato salad. Not mushy. Bright creamy dressing with a nice crunch of small cut veggies. Cup of beef barley mushroom soup was pricey, but hard to complain given it was so tasty. There are tables and a lunch counter. Not fancy, but comfortable and clean. Only negative is that there is not a lot of parking.

I've been coming to Benji's for over 30yrs maybe longer. It was a childhood/family staple and still is. No visit is complete for me without a Dr. Browns soda, matza ball soup and Hopple Popple. Super Hopple Popple to be exact. Every.Time. Please don't ever change.

2 sandwiches with two iced teas, no refills offered, were $40. My 1/2 lb Reuben had, at most, 1/4 lb of meat, no sauce, and no sauerkraut. I am happy to pay for food but this was burglary of the wallet.

Nice deli / breakfast stop. Quaint, friendly and welcoming. Egg dishes are always enjoyable - we like to come for a morning breakfast. Love their sandwiches too for a quick lunch. Waitstaff has been there a long time- they are always serving with a smile and quick wit. Our "go to" often.
