Nice little butcher shop in a cool, upcoming West Allis area. I just happened to wander in after grabbing lunch nearby. To my surprise, this place was pretty cool. It's not a huge place, there are cooler/freezer cases lining two short walls and then a large display case with displayed meats. On the shelves in the middle there were various sauces and seasonings.Since I was already full from lunch, I didn't want much, but root beer beef jerky grabbed my attention. I grabbed a 1/2 lb. and it was really good! Reasonably priced for a small butcher shop, also.Bonus points to this place for the creative name. I didn't realize it until after I left, but definitely funny. I only got the jerky on my first visit, but this place earned my interest and I definitely plan on going back soon.

This little intersection in west Allis is just a foodie shop heaven. Becher Meats has so many amazing products and very friendly and helpful staff. In addition to fresh and frozen meats, they have lots of meal kits too as well as products to complete/round out your dinner like asparagus, potatoes, etc.

I noticed this place last Sunday when I was having lunch but by the time I was done with my lunch they had closed so I stopped by today because I love meat shops and I like to try all the meat sticks that I can find. The place is small but it's stocked smart because the variety is very good. They have a very good fresh meat selection with beautiful meats and homemade sausages. They have elk chops, venison chops and lamb chops among the regular cuts of beef, pork and chicken.I took a variety of items with me like the beef habanero bacon tomato snack sticks which are good and breakfast sausage links, smoked chop and mushroom elk bratwurst as today's sampling's. They also have prepackaged items like Nueskes products and others. This is a really good neighborhood butcher shop that is nice to see again because they mostly disappeared for a long time.

Picked up an A5 Wagyu ribeye steak from here. Pricing on par with the likes of Wild Fork in Chicago, but the steaks are sold fresh here as opposed to frozen at Wild Fork. Did the reverse sear method. The most tender unbelievably rich steak I've had. The person I talked to (maybe the owner) talked me down from getting a full inch thick steak and said a 3/4 inch steak would be much more than my wife and I would need. Grateful for his friendliness and honesty. Will be back to try their brisket on one of their future smokehouse Sundays!

Love this place! Can't go wrong with anything you order. The sausage- all types are awesomely fresh and delish. The meats are all beautiful- from pork to beef to chicken.Don't forget to cross the street to WI cheese for some other great delectables.

Wanted to make prime rib for Mothers Day but was afraid I'd cook it wrong. The guys gave me first quality product and great cooking advice. They nailed it, and I was a hero at home. Thanks Becher Team!

I finally found a butcher that makes great kielbasa that actually tastes good. They use an old 100-year-old recipe. They just need to throw in a handful of mustard seeds and I would give it six stars. When you go in the store just peruse the whole place they have all kinds of goodies.

I had the Coq Au Vin. Absolutely great; very tasy, flavorful & a great price. I paid $5, original price $10. Would definitely get another meal from them. My only comment is there were too many onions.

We love a fresh turkey and the butcher talked us into "the best you've ever had." Small group so decided to splurge on the $9.99/lb. turkey. Opened it up Thanksgiving morning -- no wings, no gizzards. What?! Butcher told us to cook it for 3 hours at 325. Fortunately, I kept checking and basting -- done in an hour and a half! Dry, terrible. Such a disappointment! Owner was supposed to call us back as we USED TO BE regular customers at the cheese store and restaurant but he never bothered. $97.20 wasted. Terrible customer service. Won't be back.
