So I thought the food was good (not great). I truly can't complain service was great and food was good. I thought the pricing was a little high for the quality of food you are receiving, but you cannot beat the convenience.

We dined here during our stay at Blue Harbor for lunch and dinners. It was a bitterly cold Wisconsin weekend and we were with a group with 4 kids under 5 so we chose not to venture off the resort, although there are many local dining options that sound excellent. The views are stunning during the daylight, even on a -12 degree winter day. The Beacon was recommended when I made our reservations and when I called back to ask about a local fish fry. Note- they do NOT serve fish fry here, it's in another area of the hotel. My bad since we had already made reservations ahead of time and it would have been a big hassle to move our group of 10. We weren't given the option of the perch dinner either that is listed on the website. That being said, it was a nice place to dine for our group of 10. High chairs and boosters were made available for our little ones and they have comfortable booths and tables. We were one of very few tables so we didn't feel that our kids bothered anyone, but we did also notice it was mostly young kids/young families at Blue Harbor anyway so keep that in mind. As far as the food goes- 2 orders of cheese curds were okay but a bit underwhelming for the price. A number of us really enjoyed the large garden salad (it's huge and made with lovely greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and croutons) with salmon added. The salmon had a wonderful sear and that made for an excellent and healthier meal. So much that we ordered it again on subsequent visits during our stay! The kids meals are very generous and I highly recommend the sweet potato fries (also available with the sandwiches on regular menu). I kept stealing them from my daughter. The burger was okay and chicken sandwich was fine but not served on a pretzel bun as stated on the menu. We did pizza another night and that was good too. The biggest complaint is for the extremely slow service. Being one of only a few tables, we expected quicker service but everything took forever, from drinks to ordering to getting our food to paying the bill. It was disappointing that they didn't make it a priority to get the kids' meals out quicker. We were able to deal with that by taking the kids out to the lobby, into the gift shop, and for ice cream which are all in the same area. Overall the good food and convenience makes it 4 stars for me. Overlook the negative reviews and give it a try if you're staying at Blue Harbor and need something onsite with good food that can handle a big group.

This is my family's first time to Blue Harbor. We went the easy route and just ordered dinner from the Beacon. Even after reading the reviews we gave it a shot. We should have listened to the reviews. For the price you pay to stay here you would think they could find a decent cook knew how to use spices. There was absolutely no flavor to any of the dishes. The cheese curds people said were good....Culvers has better. I am very disappointed and will never spent another dollar at The Beacon or Blue Harbor.

The absolute WORST food and service I have ever experianced or eaten. Honestly my 6 year old can make me better food! We had a hamburger that for some odd reason someone felt that a stale bun would be great. Fries were all burnt for entire party. Every dish was a complete disaster. I was embarrassed for the staff. The service was an absolute train wreck. It took forever to get drinks, our horrible food and it took like almost 30 minutes to get check. Please shut this place down ASAP! Term entire kitchen and staff, no one here belongs in the food industry. Disgusting.

Pretty not good. Breakfast buffet blows. Except the raspberry iced tea wasn't terrible. Overpriced, but the hostess/waitress surprised us with a 50% off coupon so that made our experience slightly more bearable. Otherwise avoid at all costs.

Cheese curds were excellent but the rest of our meal was poor. I had the Beacon Cheesesteak which was very dry with about 2-3 oz of beef, a sprinkle of cheese & a large, hard bun. My husband had the Fish fry which he said was "okay." Our daughter had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken--the grilled chicken was dry & tasted like charcoal. Service was good.

Completely disappointed in our meal. Service was slow and the food tasted horrible. Fish wasn't great, the buffet sucked and the kids Mac n cheese was flavorless and saw many other kids leave it behind. What a waste for a $50 dinner ($15 buffets and 2 drinks) and the kids were free so it was overpriced and awful. Avoid at all costs McDonald's is better.

Breakfast is decent if you can get it. Getting a hold of someone on the phone to place a pickup order is like finding an amish electrician. If you do pull it off be prepared to be greeted by this little girl who would clearly rather be taking selfies.

We were staying at the Blue Harbor Resort and thought we would try out the Beacon Restaurant since it was convenient. That was a bad mistake. We are not picky eaters, but the Ragout was inedible. Food took a long time to come out and was all cold. We ate the rest of the food because we were hungry, but could not eat the ragout, even though we tried. Management handled the situation poorly, tried to give us a free dessert instead of taking the $23 meal off the bill. If the food is so bad you can't eat it, you shouldn't have to pay for it. Would not recommend this restaurant, go outside the resort to eat.
