Bavaria Sausage

I placed an order of canned fish and when the shipment arrived it was damaged by the carrier. I contacted Bavaria Sausage and submited pictures of the damaged shippment and received a replacement shippment right away. Great customer service A+

I was interested in purchasing their Zwiebelmettwurst but wanted to make sure it was safe to eat since it is literally raw pork.There were many other items that I was interested in purchasing as well. I was going to do a bulk order of at least $700 to $900 on a regular basis if things worked out.I spoke to "Danni" or "Donni" who said she was the office manager at first and then changed her title to Retail Operations Manager after I requested to speak to someone higher up in the chain of command - because she could not and would not answer as to where they source their pork meat from. She told me that they make the Mett fresh there at the place from American pork that is USDA standard.In Germany we have extra strict & special rules/procedures with the pork since it is common to eat it raw as Mett so I wanted to know more about the safety of this comapny's pork since it is sourced from America and not Germany. Makes sense and any half-brained, logical and reasonable person would have clearly understood this.I asked if their pork was at least the quality of what you would get at the local supermarket level.This "Danni" character wanted me to just take her word that their meat is superior quality over regular supermarket level and told me she just works in the office and has no way of knowing where the company sources their pork meat for the Mettwurst. When I asked for someone higher up that can provide that info she refused , suddenly changing her title to Retail Operations & Purchasing Manager and said the owner woud be the only one and that he is not going to talk to me and not going to tell me either. I asked to contact the owner and she outright became rude and refused. So I told her that this company is definitely not very transparent. She became even more rude, started yapping and trying to gaslight & argue, but I just promptly hung up in her face.Looking through all of the reviews I see that this company is routinely rude and degrading to customers. I also see that their online and mail orders reveal spoiled and inferior quality food products with deceptive shipping fees added without consent. Coupled with the clear lack of transparency and deception I have made my decision to steer clear of this company.

For authentic German meats and no perishables-- this is your MUST STOP! They also have a large selection of Wisconsin cheeses and meats. A lot of their items are flown in directly from Germany. The staff is super friendly! And they definitely have that authentic German feel.

I want to give this place 10 stars but can only do 5. I was very impressed with their service and friendliness. I had an old friend bring me some of their pate style spreads and was very impressed with the flavor and quality. I made an on-line order but then was called out of town, I was worried this would be delivered and just sit only to be ruined. I called and got a live, friendly, person who promptly helped me by canceling the order.I will be ordering again from them with no hesitation. This is the type of small business I want to make sure stays in business. I am very impressed with the way I was treated and how quickly I was helped. Wish you all a very prosperous year, and I will order again soon.

Second time here but first time since Covid. They have a good selection of sausage, other meats, cheeses plus lots of other German products such as mustards, chocolates, Rosti, etc. It is a fun place to browse all of the possibilities. Four stars.Now let's talk about their service. Three workers were behind the counter but only one appeared to be paying attention to those of us on the other side. Not sure what the other two were doing but eventually one lady noticed us and began to help us with our sausage selection. We then asked about some of their hams and salamis and if she had a recommendation. She said she doesn't eat them. When we asked specifically about one she said she didn't like it since it had a bad aftertaste! Wow what a great sales person and ambassador for their products. We did buy a few slices of that salami anyways and it was very good.I know that this place along with others are having trouble getting help but this lady should be booted or relegated to working in back since she doesn't understand customer service. Service two stars.

I was on my quest to stop at as many sausage/meat and cheese shops on my travels and I frequently notice that they don't make all the products that they sell. I stopped at a cheese shop in New Glarus wi and found some items from this place, actually I wanted to stop here on Sunday on my way home but they are not open on Sunday so I kinda sorta got to get something from them.I found a venison summer sausage that I took home with to try. The venison summer sausage was good as a snack meat and cheese thing but was it the best, no because I have had better and worse but I appreciate any venison offerings.Well I'm still not satisfied because I haven't been to the store yet and I will get there for an updated review with pictures.

Wonderful food here. I needed gruenkern to make my mom's favorite soup. My bro couldn't find any in Germany, but I found it here. Other cheeses and sausage that I haven't seen since I have returned from Germany or used a Texas German online store. My brother recently returned from Germany and was looking for brotchen, which we found here. Got our mom her favorite German marzipan. Yum! The only problem I have is that I bought pretzels but they didn't make it into my box for home. Bummer. The woman from Germany who was working at the store today was amazing. She helped us find a lot of our wanted goods. When we're out of our food, we will go back or order online at bavariansausage.com.
