Batter and Mac

This place is such a great addition to the area. Their pastries are extremely well done and they constantly have new items. My favorites are the macarons. I've also tried their croissants, vegan donuts, cinnamon twists, and muffins. The shop itself is on the smaller side but they do have a few tables if you'd like to stay and enjoy your goods. The only thing to far that hasn't hit the mark is their drinks - admittedly I've only had a coffee and a hot cocoa but they're just okay. That said, this is a bakery and the baked goods are amazing so 5 stars.

Date of visit: January 26, 2024Our January version of "Coffee & Kringle" brought us to Batter and Mac in the Falls. A friend had heard that they had gotten some flack from the local Republicans for being pro-LGBT and that was enough for us to go pay them a visit.Staff were wonderful and friendly, even suggesting that I get the Wicked-themed matcha latte with strawberry cold foam, something that I did not think I would necessarily like, but she pushed it hard and you know what? She was right! It was a delicious drink that I may or may not have licked the lid to ensure I got all of the cold foam...My ham and cheese croissant was quite good, though I think it would have been better had it been warmed up. And then I went back for a Scotcheroo and that was fantastic. I had intended to just have a bite that morning and finish it later but there was no way I could do that, I ended up eating the entire thing while we were visiting.Outside of the room temp croissant, the reason for four stars instead of five here is because the bakery gets VERY cold everytime the door opens, I probably should have kept my coat on the whole time we were there. I think one of those ceiling-mounted air units would help mitigate this and get me to stay a bit longer (and order more food!) in the colder months.

Good service, great coffee, tasty baked goods. And great pride / queer support and merch. I'd come here a lot more often if I lived closer.P.S. The "Mac" is for Macaron (cookies), not macaroni and cheese.P.P.S. Stop in for hot ham and hard rolls on Sunday mornings.

I'm really impressed with batter and Mac! I had been waiting for them to move to the falls and have been able to visit a couple of times since then. On my first visit I tried a ham and cheese croissant and cinnamon roll. They both were yummy and good portion sizes for what they were. I returned second time for a sushi making class after hours. It was amazing. I am looking forward with being able to come back for a cake decorating class, or whatever else looks interesting. I love that they support local businesses as well- I was able to try lumpias from their freezer which was nice. The space is also cute and they have Knick knacks around for people to browse and buy. Definitely visit and try a few things if you're in the area!

I had an order with another place fall through and Batter and Mac came through for me at the last minute!! Thanks for the beautiful succulent themed bridal shower cookies! They matched the invites perfectly! Your kindness and your delicious and beautiful cookies saved my day.

I've been here a handful of times over the last year and a half and I LOVE EVERYTHING! All of the bakery items are fantastic. My favorites are the giant cookies and the little cake scrap things lol. They've also got hot ham and rolls on Sunday and the rolls are fluffy and large. They've got a crowd every time I've gone in but the service is quick and everyone that works there seems happy. I love how the place is decorated, too! They do classes but I haven't done that (yet)

Best local bakery! So many delicious treats offered and you can almost always count on something trendy! They also offer a variety of cooking classes which are also fabulous! The owners are pretty cool people too. :)

Batter and Mac makes everything with love and it truly shows in the final product. These macarons are the best on the market. I had some vanilla and chocolate ones made for takeaways at my wedding and everyone loved them. Even those that said they usually don't like those kinds of cookies said they were delicious. They also offer a bunch of different cookies and each one I've tried has been delicious. Soft and they do not skimp on the chocolate chips! I love supporting this duo of sisters trying hard to make a business. I can't wait to see how they grow!

Just wanted to thank you for selling vegan donuts! We used to stop in regularly for your baked treats, but we recently went vegan for health reasons, and we miss our baked goods. I recently stopped in with my nieces and was delighted to see a vegan option. They were delicious! Thank you!!
