I stopped by on a Saturday noon. The place was almost full. Tables were arranged close, so one has to be careful when moving around. Mexican hot chocolate and White chocolate chai latte were excellent drinks. It was both sweet and creamy. Power burrito and Avocado jack wrap were my main food items. Both were excellent. Yogurt parfet was another excellent item I had. Overall I think the drinks were my favorite part of the meal.

Almond milk chai and rosemary cheddar scone is my HOLY GRAIL. The pesto grilled cheese is also scrumptious! The Middleton cafe has plentiful seating options with lots of natural light coming in so a great place to get work done.

Did a little wfh at Barrique's on a Thursday afternoon. The store inside was large, much bigger than I expected. My friend and I easily found a table to set up work at and we settled in. To drink, I ordered an iced vanilla latte (a classic). It was really good, just what I was looking for. Nothing crazy, just a solid latte. I also ordered an oatmeal raisin cookie, which was soooo good (and absolutely huge). I devoured it easily. The inside is cozy and has lots of natural lighting. I think my main complaint is their music choice, which was instrumental kinda hospital lobby vibe music. This is definitely a personal preference but I like when cafes play soft lowfi, jazz, or indie type music. I wasn't exactly vibing with the lobby vibe, but that's ok. Like I said, personal preference for sure but if I had to make a rec...that would be it.

Love this place. Great breakfast sandwich and kickstart smoothie rocks. Everything was ready on time and the staff is super helpful.

Came in on a Friday late afternoon for my ginger orange scone and they were sold out! I tried the maple scone but still preferred the orange one. Had an earl grey latte and they put the drink in a glass where it got cold sooner as there wasn't anything to keep warm. I prefer my drinks hot, so maybe I should bring my own Yeti cup!

I've ordered twice from here due to the ease and the hours they are open. The food is okay - the natural flavors are there but there is a severe need for seasoning in the food. This is rectified by my own condiments but kind of disappointing. The coffee is decent! The cookie is really good!

This is probably my favorite spot on the West Side to bring a good book and cozy up with some coffee or iced tea. The staff is extremely friendly and the drinks are great. The pastries and cookies and breads are fantastic, too! (Grab one of the espresso chocolate chip scones when they're fresh, they'll turn you into a morning person, guaranteed). They make a REAL macchiato here, and really, you can't go wrong with any of the espresso drinks.I do think the non-baked-goods food across all Barriques locations has gone downhill a bit, but that's really a Barriques problem and not specific to this location, and doesn't reflect on any of the location staff. (e.g. the turkey avocado club sandwich used to be amazing, but Barriques as a whole has switched to this sorta depressing microwave-ready bacon that's pale and floppy and just kinda grim. Also what happened to Zapp's chips?!). As a whole, the hot food suffers in comparison to, say, Indie Coffee, whose sandwiches and waffles are some of the best around. On the other hand, a meal is not what I go to Barriques for.Look, it's a coffee shop, and it does all the coffee-shop-things about as well as they can be done, AND you can get a beer or some wine. It's cozy and nice and the staff is fantastic, so for my tastes, I can't give it anything other than 5/5.

If you're a morning coffee drinker I'd recommend ordering online as if you come in store you have a significantly longer wait. They prioritize the online drinks rather than customers in-store. I waited around 15 minutes for an iced coffee drink hoping it'd be a quick stop before work. The coffee is okay and menu features local ingredients.

The lady at the cash register was rude. Made me not want to come back. Even though she was was rude I still said thank you when I got my coffee and she just raised her eyebrows

The baristas= friendly and helpful The actual coffee= I am not exaggerating- sorry- but their lattes taste like burnt water- a cute place but I have gone 3 times, hoping I am just ordering the wrong thing - I am talking specifically about their lavender vanilla, Mexican and Plain lattes.Just for reference- I frequent Starbucks or Moka and always get coffee at brunch so not like I don't know what coffee or lattes should taste like.
