Bandero County Wood Grill & Saloon

Have been coming to this restaurant regularly since 2007 and it has mostly been a good experience. The rewards program was the biggest issue. Until today. They started serving breakfast many months ago and we decided to give it a try. The food order took more than an hour for some very simple food. We were eventually told it would be up in a few minutes and it was another 15 minutes thereafter. We said we wondered if it was ever going to come. No apology. Just "your order got stuck behind a big table".) No manager walking around or checking on tables. Water remained empty for a while with no offer of refill. Had to eventually ask. There were many empty tables when we arrived, so it wasn't jam packed. The waffle had clearly been under a heat lamp and was hard as a rock on top but proper texture underneath. Chicken tenders were hot and placed on lettuce leaves that looked like they had been fished from the trash. See pic. The breakfast sandwich had also been sitting under a heat lamp. Cheese was congealed and croissant was hard as a rock on top and wet and soggy on the bottom. The entire thing had slid across the plate. Server was notified and it was remade fairly quickly. The scrambled eggs which were subbed for the potatoes (even swap, as we confirmed, so no charge) were hot. One order of bacon (which was confirmed with server to be an even exchange substitute for the potatoes with the chicken and waffles) was delivered and one order was missing, which we didn't realize until later. The other order of bacon was charged to our bill. So I let the server know we got charged for one (other was to be free) and he said he'd deduct it. But they also ADDED a charge for a side of bacon that should've been free with the meal as a sub for potatoes (we confirmed it would be an even swap as he said only fruit was extra). So when they deducted it, the effect was nil. It was the same as before. Orange juice was very bitter and mostly ice. Coffee arrived without cream or sugar so we said we didn't need it. But it should come with it automatically and we would've used it had it come. But waiting for it when everything was taking so long would mean cold coffee which no one wants. So we skipped it. The pancakes were very good. The plates at the next table arrived with purple edible flowers on them, as used to be common with this restaurant. None of our plates had them. It was a huge headache to alert the staff to these issues as it upsets the balance and timing of the meal. We were always alert and watching for someone or waiting for something. An hour long wait for a simple breakfast ruined my husband's birthday (though the slice of cake to take home was nice) and was delaying our plans, so I just wrote a note on the receipt about what happened and paid the bill since my credit card had already been run anyhow. The reward program also changed for the third time in 17 years. Server said to write my phone number on the bill. Done. Got a text notifying me that I unlocked a reward. No data on what it was or how to claim it. Or how or where to log in. Recalled the server mentioning the Toast app so I looked there. Signed up there (and also on the restaurant website VIP area) but there's nothing at either of those places. It really should not be this hard to grab breakfast. Nearly two hours of time and so many minor issues. So painful.

A decent spot in this area.I'll say it up front - It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Visiting during a weeknight for dinner, I selected the brisket. It wasn't impressive. I love a good brisket and this was subpar at best. The best way to describe it is that it just didn't taste like a fresh brisket that was smoked that day and sliced to order. Maybe it was, but it did not look or taste like it. It had almost a jerky or bacon type texture and feel to it, if that makes sense. It wasn't tough or chewy but rather drier. Not dry, like how brisket can sometimes be dry, but more so dried out. Like it had been sliced thinly and sitting out for a while.The ambiance and service was good. No complaints there. Overall, we did have a nice time. I simply didn't care for what I ordered.Would I go back? Possibly. This was a dinner during a work related trip. I am certain that I'll be back in the area so stopping in again isn't completely out of the question. However, I may look around to see what else is in the vicinity.

We had wonderful filet mignon steaks here feb 9. 2025 and overall excellent meal. Limited selection of steaks. Normally i would always choose NY Strip but the filet was excellent. Stuffed pepper soup was good. They had a margarita flight which was good but apparently only make it during limited times unless not busy.

The food really good service was really great the ambience it's really nice inside this is my first time here in the food. Ambience was really good.

A better name for this particular joint would be meat, meat, and more meat. That being said, I personally ordered the French onion soup, and the Cajun pasta. Both were absolutely delicious and would definitely get them again. Our waiter, Abram, was very friendly and attentive to all of our needs, so I would definitely give him a big thumbs up for the service. The only thing is that, like I said before, this place only really serves meat centered dishes, and while I know that's what they are going for, I would have wished they had at least a few more vegetarian options as one of my party is vegetarian and she could only order the veggie fajitas, as even the salads contained meat in them

The name of this establishment might have changed recently, but the food remains the same. I have always loved the chicken dumpling soup with a passion, it's truly the reason I continue to go. I stopped while I was back home for the holidays and made sure to get a bowl! The wait staff is always so pleasant and makes sure that as a customer, you are fully taken care of! The restaurant has a western theme that carries over to the menu! If passing through, it's a good place to stop for some soul warming eats.

I will be honest this was my first time coming here after driving past this place for years. The place does smell like a wood grill which for me is a great smell but others may not find that pleasant. Service was great - we originally were at the bar and then moved to a table. They didn't flinch or have any issues with us moving. I heard their rotisserie chicken was amazing so I opted for the quarter white meal with a salad and asparagus. I must say this is probably the most amazing chicken I have had in years. They obviously are brining the chicken because it was so moist - yes I know people hate that word but there is nothing else better to describe it. The asparagus was grilled and was served slightly al-dente which is the way it should be! They make their own salad dressings which is another plus for them. The only downside is that the salad was mostly iceberg lettuce - I am a salad snob lol. Drink prices were higher than some places but understand I am used to dive bar pricing so their prices were in line with others. It's worth a stop - it's right off the highway and the atmosphere is very cozy. I will be back again to try something else but it's going to be difficult after that amazing chicken.

I have dined here several times and have never been disappointed. Seating is usually within minutes of arrival. It's always busy but servers are friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is pleasant with ambiance but can be loud due to crowd. Not annoying though, just a happy buzz.Many choices on the menu. My food orders have been delicious and hot. I have had pasta dishes, sandwiches, and main dinner entrees. Homemade and tasty.Highly recommend.

Very nice staff. My husband and I always split something and they are very accommodating. The food is always good.
