Badger Burger - Mukwonago

Date of visit: October 21, 2023We were visiting Schuett Farms nearby and took a chance on this place despite the middling reviews. Once again Yelpers know what they are talking about; this is definitely a mixed bag.We had a slightly larger party (8), which seemed to fluster them a bit and there unfortunately is not many places to wait for a table, so we gathered around a high top that didn't have any chairs around it and did our best to glare at the table we were told needed to vacate before we could be seated. The wait wasn't too terrible and we were seated.James, our server, did his best, but started things out a bit rough with a long speech about how he couldn't do separate checks for us because they were so busy. Sure seemed like he could have done the check separation in less time than his speech--and in the end he ended up doing the check split for us into three, so yeah...Foodwise I went with a burger since this was a burger place, and my Wisconsinite burger was quite underwhelming, unfortunately. I asked for it medium and definitely received a medium well burger, needing ketchup to give the beef some much-needed moisture. On the plus side, the curds on the burger were top notch and the sweet potato fries were excellent and improved the meal. For the most part, others in the party enjoyed their food (the bite of mac and cheese I tried was quite good!).

We stopped in between Lacrosse games during a tournament, they were so accommodating for our large group especially with no notice. I wouldn't recommend doing that, for the sanity of their staff but much appreciated. They were great. Nice big room in the back for a large group. We had burgers and wings and lots tots.Food was great no complaints.

Wow this place was worth the drive and the pretzel was one of the best I've ever had! Beer cheese was a little watery but I think it might double as the soup as that was featured. Buttery tender goodness! Wings were "grilled" which is bonus and hearty! The tots were light and not greasy at all. Nachos bountiful and enough to share with others or take home for another meal or two. The bloody wasn't very alcohol like but still tasty and the garnish of the shrimp was very spicy if you like that kind. Took one star off for server's attitude as she kept rolling her eyes at us and making faces which wasn't very awkward

Great food, great service. Great selection of hamburgers. Love the atmosphere I always take my out of town friends there for a meal. And they love it!

Not good for big groups. I rarely give bad reviews, but my experience was so negative, I feel the need to share. We came in there the other night with a large group, around 25 people including half adults, half 8th grade boys. The food was good, came out quickly and correctly. We were also quickly seated. Unfortunately, I have to give this a two star review because the service was absolutely terrible. We called ahead of time to let the restaurant know that we would have a large group coming in. Right off the bat our waitress was extremely irritated with having to serve our group. We asked her if we could split the check and she told us no. We asked if she would be willing to work with us and that we were all from different families and she agreed to 4 checks. So as a group we ordered by table, and she agreed. There was only three tables. After that conversation, we all looked to each other confused why she was being so rude. At the end of our meal she comes to us with one check and says, "Hey, I have another table to greet and it was too hard to split the check so you're going to have to figure this out". Well now I know why she was so rude because of course they added a 20% gratuity to our group. With a smile she would have gotten well beyond that. We spent a good half hour trying to figure out who had to pay what plus taxes and gratuity. Would have been 10 times more bearable had she not have been so rude the entire time.

The burgers here are phenomenal. So are the fries. Service is usually amazing and very nice. The ambiance is okay, it can be loud at times, but that's expected. I would definitely recommend you go here if you want a good burger.

Good food, good service, good ambience. Very good burgers and steak fries. First visit but would highly recommend.

Great food and best wait staff... Elise pampered 3 retired girls so Bloodies and lunch was relaxed. Good Friday fish fry and potato pancakes.

So let me tell you? Like most people during christmas time. I need to smash your money. So I see this bartender gig, it has been advertised for month. To come to wisconsin, which I have no problem with travel. I may go.It's wisconsin several times a month sometimes because as a part time bartender, you can get between the two fifty and a thousand dollars in tips per day sometimes. So i'm talking with my girl about the spot for about three weeks. I begin to call the restaurant/ bar that is advertising for the position. I called them several days. I speak to the manager mark a few of the service workers and the owner. I let them know that i'm interested impossibly taking the slot for a few days. The owner says by all means, we really need some help during the time that i'm calling the place that's packed and busy, I can hear it in the background. I asked one of the bartenders who picks up the phone about the business as other bartenders do.How are the tips? She tells me that they're busy every night, and they are swamped and they need help. So I go ahead and book the shift. I call back. I speak to the owner I ask him. Do they want us to wear the black on black bartender norm. He tells me it doesn't matter to me long as you get in here as soon as possible. So the next day, I left my house, about six thirty in the morning to get there at ten am. I had a little bit of anxiety when I start passing all the farmland. I pushed on.Thinking what the worst thing could happen could be. Knock knock knock here we go. I arrive an hour and a 1/2 before my shift's will start. I am sitting in a section of the town that looks like mayberry would be a chosen vacation spot for the residence. Fifteen minutes before my shift. I get out of my jeep ahead for the door. The lights turn off in the place.I can clearly see people inside. I call mark who I have spoken to. Several times he tells me that this order put in with that app. Does a mistake and I need to cancel it.on my end. I go sit in my car and contact the app to let them know what happened . I look up.A man comes to the door with grocery bags knocks on the door and they let him write in not only does this happen but he waves across the street and several other people come into the bar. I get out of my car and go to the door. The door is locked again and all the lights go back off at this Badger Burger in Mukwonago wisconsin (from the south side of Chicago) i get a sundown feeling from the situation and I hightail it back to chicago. People please tell me. Am I wrong for feeling that? Because I am a black man in this MAGA town that I either dodged a bullet. Or was I treated unfairly???https://mukwonago.badgerburgercompany.com/
