Awakening

The aptly named Awakening rocked my espresso loving socks.Came here on an holiday adventure to Kohler for some pre-wandering coffee and bites. Awakening has an array of espresso beverages and coffee as well as smoothies and a few baked items. My dining companion and I both opted for one of their seasonal specialty lattes. They have milk alternatives, so we were both able to get our desired almond milk for our lattes. Their espresso is pitch perfect. I can not overstate this. Seriously, one of the best lattes I have had the pleasure of consuming in the entire state of Wisconsin right here in little ol' Kohler. That alone made the drive from Milwaukee worth it.Their bites are limited to bakery sweet treats. I'm not much for sweet in the morning but was pleased to find that the grocery store where Awakening is situated has lovely savory breakfast options.As I mentioned, they are situated inside a grocery store but don't let that deter you. The grocery store itself is charming and they have a lovely dining area in the middle of the store where you can enjoy your coffee and bites.Our barista was absolutely lovely. They were the one who clued us in on the delicious breakfast bites that we could get at the adjacent deli in addition to serving up such a delicious latte.Get to it!

Loved the Lemon Caper Tuna Melt. It was so good that I went back and got one another To Go so my wife could try one! The sandwich came with a pickle for $9. Well worth it! When you order from the coffee shop area you are given a buzzer that will alert you when to pick up your food at the deli counter (in the grocery part of store). There is a coffee shop or maybe break room type dinning area located near the deli. I would also highly recommend the Smoothy Bowls. They are a bit pricey at $11, but pretty good. The best part is all the fresh fruit on top. It was refreshing to see staff that was so friendly to work with. The girl who took my order was really nice and reflected well on the business. I do have an issue however. Maybe they don't want a lot of call in business for some reason, but it is almost impossible to find a menu anywhere online. Maybe I just couldn't find it, but if it's out there, I'm not sure where! The coffee shop is part of the woodland market which is all owned by The Kohler Company.Calling in takes you to the Kohler phone answering service and the online presence for this business is buried in the Kohler website. I guess that if you want to try one of those amazing Lemon Caper Tuna Melts you may have to go in to get one!

Emery made me her favorite latte this time. Think it was brown sugar, lavender and vanilla??? Was perfect and she was very fun to have as a barista

A cute little coffee shop located right in front of the Woodlake Market. The coffee is piping hot which gives me time to write this review. Wow...talk about fresh!!!There is a daily special coffee on the board, which was a white mocha today, those are to sweet for me. They have everything from coffee, espresso, mochas and smoothies along with baked goods too. We had a chocolate chip cookie and it was really good. The staff was very nice. The lady making our coffee acknowledged that we were not from here and asked where we were visiting from. I am sure 50% of there customers are tourists from the hotel or business clients visiting Kohler Corp. There are two small couches inside with one facing the counter. It is a little awkward to sit there because you are looking directly at the staff. There is a great outdoor patio that is nicely shaded or you can even drink at one of the tables inside the Woodlake Market!I went back in to get a little more cream and the sweet lady offered me a refill on my coffee. How nice was that?This is a great place for a little caffeine rush or to satisfy your sweet tooth! Plus there is free wifi too!!!

Great great coffee. It's part of a grocery store but they have an outdoors space where you can sit with breakfast etc. I almost had a New York coffee experience here. Made me so so happy. Service is good and relatively quick. The space is small with just one table but the grocery store has tables and seating inside as well.

Basically just a kiosk in a grocery store, un-impressive espresso. But probably the perfect thing if you wanted a to-go coffee while you did your grocery shopping

Cozy little coffee spot inside the front doors of Woodlake Market in Kohler. The baristas are friendly and the coffee is fresh and delicious. Full espresso menu is available and they have all the dairy and non-dairy milks to choose from. My mocha was made exactly as ordered and served with a smile.

Perfect quick stop coffee shop! Friendly staff, quality coffees, great snack items and reasonable pricing. Worth a visit! Opens early 6:00 am is a plus.
