Archives Bar and Grill

Wow! Everything from here is great. Just tried their fish fry and oh my gosh! Homemade tartar sauce, gluten free beer battered fish! Delicious!!! They also have daily specials, live music, and trivia. I love this place.

Stopped into Archives with the family on our way home from a sporting event in Burlington. The bar and restaurant had a bustling lunch crowd, but we were seated quickly and had our drink orders taken right away. They have a great whiskey selection and very nice beer selection, even by Wisconsin standards! I had the Italian beef which was delicious with a fabulous hot giardinare and hand cut fries. My daughter had the burger of the month and demolished it while my wife and son both had the patty melt with home made chips which they both enjoyed. Service was quick and competent and it was nice to see the bartender helping the lone waitress out with drink orders. We don't get to Burlington very often, but when we do, we'll definitely be stopping back in for another great meal and perhaps a whiskey flight!!!

The best food in the area. Great owner and waitstaff. Very community oriented. Love this place! Highly recommended!

Went here for another fish fry this past Friday. Quality is still here, and the service is impeccable. Still one complaint... No baked fish! Please think about adding this to your menu!

Awesome bar/pub. Service is good and the food is delicious. Special attention to folks suffering from celiac disease. Many delicious, gluten free, menu options that will not disappoint.

A very cool bar and grill restaurant I was very surprised how good the food was and the atmosphere and look of the bar / Eatery is unique. I saw a lot of families and people under 18 who I guess are allowed in and can eat. There's one full table in the back and what a special interesting is the food here it looks and very very tasty and good I was expecting this to be a real bad dive bar with bad food. Pleasantly surprised

As a longtime gluten-free diner, I've never had cheese curds until visiting Archives, and my gluten-eating companion said these were the best she's ever tried. Everything we had was delicious -- including the cocktails -- and the service was warm and friendly. We happened to be there on a trivia night, and that made the atmosphere even more fun. This place is a gem, and I'll be back the next time I'm in the area.

Just adding on, nearly a year later and the review still stands. We love this place and the food was tremendous. We will keep coming back!

Had the Friday night fish fry sitting at the bar, was outstanding. Best I had in a long time from Wisconsin. The fries where perfect, fresh cut, tarter sauce and cold slaw was outstanding. Ask the waitress to omit the bread, and no tomatoes on the salad, and spread out the timing of food delivery so I could enjoy my beer at the bar. Timing was outstanding. And order was perfect. They have it down. Keep up the good work. A shout out to Sam, the bar keeper.

The food was great and love all of the gluten-free options! I live in Lake Geneva, but it is definitely worth the drive as I haven't had fried cheese curds in forever!
