Busy Thursday Prime Rib night. Got there relatively early but had to wait quite a while to get service at the bar. However, good selection of beer and nice pours on the mixed drinks. Our group all had the prime rib and everyone seemed to enjoy them. I had the 15 oz King Cut with a baked potato and slaw, and added a side salad. Prime rib was medium, and was tasty, but just a tad dry, for a prime rib. Potato and slaw were good. Side salad seemed a bit light, but lettuce was crisp and blue cheese dressing was good. Server was very pleasant and attentive. Nice venue with rustic charm and antiques decorating the walls. Prices were good for prime. Next time I think I'll try medium rare.

Excellent Blackened Cod with perfectly cooked baked potato. Local " go to place" for Friday Fish Fry. Server's always attentive, so kind. Prices are good.

Had the baked cod. Cooked just right. Portion size was good too. It didn't have a lot of flavor though. The fish fry looked tasty too. Will try that next if we go back.

Yummy char grilled burgers. Great topping options, big add-on baskets of sour cream and chives fries. Good beer selection. Hometown pricing. Bartender was awesome, pretty sure her name was Billie. Full bar and she always had a smile!!

I've been there before for drinks and the place looks unassuming, Looks can be deceiving. The Farmington Inn features prime rib on Thursday nights. Through our own mixup, we arrived at 4 p.m., and didn't realize they don't start serving until 5. The Inn was nearly empty when we arrived, but by 5 every table was full and it was almost standing room only at the bar. It didn't take long to find out why. Their prime rib was delicious. I ordered mine medium rare and it was served just a little bit more toward the medium side than I normally like, but it was juicy and flavorful. It also came with a very hearty serving of sauteed mushrooms and onions, and potato side. When we arrived we were greeted and seated by the bartender, and another person - someone working in the kitchen - took our drink order. By five there were several people waiting tables. I've been in restaurants where wait staff won't go anywhere near a table not assigned to them, but it was fantastic that this was not the case here. All of the people working tables checked on things, helped each other, and made sure customers were well-tended to, regardless of table assignments. They also seemed to communicate well with each other. The level of service was refreshing. The Farmington Inn prime rib special is a good experience. It's reasonably priced and the service is excellent. It's also nice to have a prime rib special on a Thursday night. We plan to try more there.

The food was delicious, but we waited way too long after ordering our lunch, nearly AN HOUR; that's just not acceptable. Yes, they served a large group in the dining room, but during that same time several people came, ate at the bar, and left before we had our lunch. All four of us ordered the special of the day so not complicated. No explanation or apology. Disappointed.
