What a great selection of fresh, beautiful looking produce, farm fresh beans and legumes, packaged items you can't find anywhere and an incredible deli. They also have fresh bread daily.

Stumbled across this store after a UPS return of what else... an online order, maybe? Lol... So I love Amish products, they seem so legit and "farmers market" without the hipster markup, amirite? So this new place was initially very intriguing and unusual... I think this storefront used to be a pre-prepped meal kit place, like the home delivery stuff being sold now over socials... Anyway, the store seems more like a eastern euro (Polish?) Business reselling Amish items. Prices seem well below retail on the few items they carry but produce and such fresh items are only passable and look to have seen better days.Dairy, bread and canned goods are interesting. Due to lack of preservatives the daily baked bread seems to go stale by end of day, so I got the inexpensive French mini loaf tossed in for free. Was planning on Air fryer toasting that into crostini anyway... so score. The drop in a star was due to the iffy customer service. Older lady needs to down some sugar and not shoot dour looks at me, not the best impression on a new customer..., the other lady seemed friendlier but should probably chill on long convos in Polish while a customer is standing at the register to checkout.Might be back, next time I'm in the strip mall for curiosity... but Woodman's has Amish items too.

I love their smoked fish & meat. The cheese, eggs & kefir is terrific! Wonderful honey & other specialty items.

The Amish Farmer is a small grocer in a strip mall near downtown Palatine. We've been waiting, eagerly, for it to open. They had only recently opened when we went for a visit. Their space is small and well laid out. This makes it easy to find what you're looking for. They do have an interesting selection of produce, meats, bread, jams and jellies, spices, and more. Their produce selection was broad and everything looked fresh. Their loaves of bread looked fantastic. They had some samples out for a multigrain bread that was really good. The most impressive section is in the middle of the store. They have dozens and dozens of jams and jellies of all sorts. Many were flavors I'd never really considered for jams. There were so many that looked good I simply couldn't make a choice. They have a meat counter that spans from the front window to the back of the store. They had everything from whole chickens and ducks, to steaks, veal, cheeses, and even whole rabbits. I don't think I saw any seafood. While I'm certain the quality is good, some of the fowl looked as if it had been sitting there for a while and didn't really look appetizing. That colored the way we saw the whole meat counter. From a price standpoint, they are quite high. I know it is difficult for a small store to compete with huge grocers who buy in large volumes. So, I don't think this will be a regular place I'll buy from. But, some of the items mentioned above I have not seen anywhere else. So, for niche items, this will be a great place. And, it was really fun to look around.

Picked up a few things but nothing I can't live without but the reason I won't go back is because they were rude to me--not in anyway friendly or remotely polite. When i walked in, there were no other customers in the store but neither of the 2 women at the counter even said hello. And when i checked, out not a word, she never even looked up & No thank you. No bye. Nothing. Super rude & disrespectful.

The food is amazing! Great polish foods, their homemade perogies are some of the best around. They have great breads without all those preservatives. The Amish butter is fresh and so so good. Highly recommend trying this place out. They also have hot lunch specials daily which are very good!

Horrible service. Very rude employees. They don't care about customers service. I stood by the register for a long time while the cashier was on her phone and didn't care to check me out, when she did see me she rolled her eyes, threw the food around. She didn't bother to say "hello" or greet me. Same for the guy that serves the deli. He was rude to other customers and was rolling his eyes while the customer was trying to figure out what she was getting.

I believe Amish Farmers is the best grocery I have ever been to. Their food is excellent in every way and I trust that they do not poison me with GMOs and chemicals like literally the rest of the grocery stores ? The raw dairy is particularly excellent. Our Microbiome is a very important component of our health ( look it up ). Raw dairy supports our microbiome. Amish farmers have truly excellent dairy like no other. Raw and fresh and delicious and helps heal gut problems so many of us have from GMOs and chemically laden food from other groceries. When are we all gonna say we have had enough of the poisonous food sold to us and fully support a wonderful grocery like Amish Farmers? I am all in on my support for Amish Farmers and have been for years. The staff is the best. I truly feel blessed to have access to real nutrition from Amish Farmers. Highest Praise Indeed. Ambiance is the best as I find I am so happy to be around honest merchants of nutrition the opposite of what you find at the other groceries and their offerings if GMO and chemical additive poison. I Very Highly recommend Amish Grocery particularly if you value your health !

My Husband just spent 21 hours in the hospital due to extreme upper GI pain. After running all kinds of tests including 2 stool samples - He was diagnosed with enlarged intestines due to Campylobacter and E.coli from either the raw goats milk or raw cows milk. He had finished the goats milk last Monday Oct 30 and then started the cows milk Monday night. By Wednesday he wasn't feeling well and thought he had the flu. Saturday into Sunday the pain was so bad he was laying on the floor asking to die. It was good while it lasted BUT we won't be going back!
