Up close look at the beef shawarma, the traditional way. You can have it any way you want it but I wanted the traditional way.

Although the exterior of this business isn't much to look at. They have some really good food being prepared on the inside. I ordered the six piece falafel for $2.50 and the regular size chicken shawarma for $7.99 which I think is a doggone good deal. The falafels were crispy and moist and flavorful. The only thing that was missing was the dipping sauce for them. I did not ask for any nor did he put any. The chicken shawarma came with every vegetable under the sun and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was tender and the chicken was tender and flavorful the vegetables all seem to be fresh. I have no complaints about this sandwich whatsoever.

Good Middle Eastern/Central Asian grocery store with good Middle Eastern take out food. Typical generous Arabic hospitality in both departments. Spices are fresh, the meat is halal, and you can see the butcher is clean. Ample selection of frozen prepared foods. I've had a few of their sandwiches and hot dishes, their fresh flat breads, all good. I especially like their falafel and hummus. A good source for Mediterranean style coffee and coffee implements and ingredients.

I wanted to try this shawarma thing so I wanted to try another neighborhood authentic place. I have driven past this place so many times and never knew what was on the inside. It's a middle eastern place with hookahs and food items that are unfamiliar. You wouldn't know it by looking at it but these is a restaurant in it. The guy working the kitchen was joking and friendly who took my order. He starts shaving the beef of the hunk on the spit. The beef shawarma was made where I could see the whole thing. He takes some sort of round pita looking thing that didn't taste like a typical pita and spreads hummus all over it. He takes it to the grill and puts the beef on it and back to the condiment bar. He tells me I can have anything from it on it, I tell him to make it the traditional way it would be. He puts seasoned raw onions, pickles and a white yogurt sauce all over it. It goes into a panini press to bond it together and it's done. He asked if I wanted hot sauce and I said no I want to taste it in its natural way. See my pictures. The beef shawarma was pretty good, it was meaty and the combination of all the ingredients worked well together. The beef was very lean and I couldn't find any fat. This would be the equivalent of a middle eastern burrito. The shawarma was flavorful and works very well.Over all this is a great place for authentic middle eastern food and I would defiantly go back.

This place is great for all your household needs, and locally owned by a member of the neighborhood, Abu Allan. The have a fresh meat market, fresh bread and produce, as well as a kitchen in the back that makes falafel, shawarma, kabobs and much more. They also sell pots, pans, portraits... etc.

I LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! It's a butcher shop, take out restaurant, and a place where you can find middle eastern groceries and some American groceries. Look I know every grocery store sells chicken, lamb , beef and blah blah. But it doesn't get as clean as Amanah. I enjoy cooking, but I hate cutting up my meat. At Amanah you tell the guy how you want your meat or chicken cut and they do it!! How amazing is that? I think it's pretty darn amazing! On the days I don't feel like cooking or pretty much moving I get mouth watering Shawerma and crispy delicious falafel. They deliver so they get extra points for that!! Now onto the grocery section. You can find a bunch of groceries from the middle east and South Asia even some American!! The prices are comparable to most big grocery stores. But the pita bread lord the pita bread. It's so fresh I can eat it plain So if you haven't checked out this place. Check it out! Promise you won't regret it!

Fresh and clean butchered meats. I find this common in Arabic grocers, compared to my local big box stores. We'll often drive in just for the Homemade delivered Arabic Samosa they sell. Haven't had any like it anywhere else; crispy wontons filled with spices and potatoes, served with chili sauce.
