Ally's Powerhouse Café

I ordered the Corn Beef Hash breakfast with over-medium eggs, which was fantastic. The flavouring of the beef and hash was good. The eggs were cooked perfectly and ran all over my hash browns...YUM!! They don't have sour dough toast but Alex offered me an alternative which was fantastic as well. Thanks Alex! My Americano coffee extremely HOT and was very good. My only complaint is my Americano was so hot I couldn't drink it fast (which is ok) so I asked the older lady with short dark hair for a to go cup. She was sorta snippy with me, be we're all humans. My complaint is she walked by me many times after and never brought my to go cup. I hope her day gets better. Still gets 5 stars for the food. I just wish they had Tabasco or Cholula hot sauce.

Had brunch with a group this morning. It's sort of hidden away from everything among the hotels and apartments but they have plenty of parking and a very atmosphere inside, a long with outside when it's nice enough.Staff was very attentive and friendly.Food and smoothie were delicious.My only note is mostly on me, but I totally missed the mimosas because they were up on the wall and not listed on the physical menu I was looking at.

Cute little order-at-the-counter cafe in a restored historic building (we did research on this while we were there and it used to be a sanatorium primarily for Tuberculosis patients- don't worry, it closed down in 1978 and has been office buildings since then. Interesting history though!) love the industrial style ceilings and cool old metal door with what I'm hoping/assuming is cream city brick inside. Absolutely stunning. The service was very friendly and helpful. I loved my coffee drink (churro latte!) and everything came very quickly. The food is where we weren't overly impressed. It was just good; nothing to write home about. My French toast was good. We both said it reminded us of those French toast sticks that were around when we were kids. I love that they had fresh berries with it and whipped cream! My husband got the corned beef hash and again, he liked it, but wished that it had more meat and it didn't come with any toast, which he was a little disappointed about. Great atmosphere, I would absolutely come back for coffee and a snack with a friend and definitely recommend checking it out.

Was very impressed with this place. And the service was amazing. When we come back to Milwaukee, this will be a regular stop. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch. The interiors were also very nice. I was quite impressed.

Ally's in our neighborhood is a big bonus for work catering too! Everything was fresh and fabulous and unique. I couldn't wait to try everything and go back to try other things. Staff is helping and professional and the location is prime

I was looking for a new spot to take my mom to lunch since she's in town, and after some surfing Ally's powerhouse Café showed up on my radar. After living in Arizona for 10 years I love healthy options for lunch. sometimes that's hard to find here in Milwaukee as far as variety goes. I was excited to give this place a shot. When we entered the building right away is a warm, welcoming vibe. It's super cute. Brick walls and a lower level dining room with a really cool bar.Right when we got in, we met with a super friendly, very nice woman. I let her know it was our first time in there, and she explained how it works and what's on the menu and just made it super easy for us. I ordered the Cobb salad and I believe my mom ordered a brainpower salad. It had blueberries I know that and then I got a flatbread for my son. The Cobb salad was so good. I can't wait to come back and have it again and I did try my sons flatbread pizza, and the first thing that I loved about. It was the thin buttery crust, it was perfect and light a pizza you're not gonna feel terrible after eating. Everyone that came to our table to service it take away empty plates what not super friendly and outgoing. I will definitely be coming back with my husband. Love it!

Took a minute to figure out how to order but staff was very helpful. The food was excellent, tasty& fresh.Will definitely return!

When I recently looked on Yelp for breakfast places I have yet to try that are open at 7am or earlier so I can stop before work, Ally's Powerhouse popped up in my search results. They're pretty close to the highway and generally on my way to work, so I made my way over one morning. I ordered the classic breakfast sandwich to go, getting bacon for the meat and a bagel for the bread, and chose hash browns over fruit as my side.The hash browns were good. Sitting in the to go container underneath the sandwich they became a little soft, but the edges were still crispy, so I have a good feeling that the whole thing would be crispy if I ate it at Ally's instead of taking it to go. The first bite or two were bland, but they were seasoned more towards the middle.The sandwich impressed me on first glance. It looked like it was a good size with plenty of thick, crispy bacon and the egg patty was large enough that it was overflowing on the sides of the bagel. Unfortunately, the egg desperately needed salt and pepper and I couldn't taste the cheddar cheese at all. Occasionally the bacon would shine through, but for the most part the wheat bagel was the predominant flavor.Ally's looks like a cool little place to dine at. It's possible I would go back and try something else, but I wouldn't get the classic breakfast sandwich again.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Unique location and We'll be back soon for sure. Love the fresh menu items.
