9 East Coffee

Great cold brew and quick service! Conveniently located downtown. There are two side rooms, which allows space for groups or simply solitude if you come by to work on a project. I will be back!

I really liked this spot! I was in Freeport for work and I went to 9 East for lunch with my co-workers. I love the fact that they serve breakfast all day -- but I opted for one of their quiche of the days (crab and artichoke) as well as a cup of their Italian sausage soup. I also ordered a strawberry smoothie per my co-worker's suggestion.It was honestly one of my favorite meals in Freeport. The quiche had imitation crab -- but I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, given the price. The quiche was wonderful, though. And the soup! What a surprise. It was more a hybrid of a soup and a stew, as it was on the thick side and SO DELICIOUS. I loved that they served lunch with a single little pretzel (look up the Freeport Pretzels and you will understand). Speaking of the Pretzels, they share or co-own a souvenir shop that sells Pretzels gear. Love it. Strawberry smoothie was a winner, too. Just your local, delicious coffee shop.

Once a month, 9 East opens on Sunday for brunch. We were fortunate enough to be in town to enjoy it. It was TASTY. Eggs Benedict, pulled pork nachos, and a delicious fresh pastry bar, multiple types of coffee, and more, made for a great brunch.

I actually drive there to get ice tea. They have a lemongrass I enjoy. Their pastries and quiche look amazing too. But I have only enjoyed the tea. The service is pleasant and not hurried.

This is a coffee shop that does not open until 7 AM, and, even though the staff were standing around on their phones, would refuse to open their doors for people waiting outside until three minutes after 7. Just not nice for travelers.

welcoming staff. great place to bring a small group of friends. homemade baked goods are delicious! plenty of seating!

Coffee is as bitter at the experience. Highly judgmental staff. Some narcissistic customers are snarky and think they're perfect.

Skip this place and go to Higher Grounds instead. We stopped to try as we like intelligentsia coffee and took one sip of our drink and threw the rest out. To add to our disappointment, the man that waited on us was quite rude! We won't return~

Very nice place to meet up with friends and have breakfast. The owner and employees are always very pleasant. Nice variety of coffees and teas. Their iced mocha is a real treat in the summer!I've sampled a few of their sweets, and enjoyed them. Their quiche is good also.

Love this place! The atmosphere, the coffee, the homemade specials... can't beat it!! It's definitely worth a visit.
