Update: we came here last night for the buffet style during Harvest Fest and it was incredible! Our server, Kelli, was amazing and so sweet and attentive to us. The prime rib was some of the best we have ever eaten, the fish was cooked perfectly. We thought even the vegetables were gourmet. It was great to return for another remarkable and delicious dining experience!

Chicken dry and burnt flavor. Fries good. Burger fair.Bread stick flavorless dryNoodles firm overcooked. My niece ate nothing. My son left the chicken but ate some of the noodles. Ate here 1-2 years ago and liked it.Shocked how bad it was esp for 19-29 dollars a meal

Went for dinner tonight and I will not go back . We had 12 people and only 5 enjoyed their meal. I order the Tenderloin at a cost of $29.00 and it was so tough I couldn't eat it. Never had that happen to a tenderloin. The salad bar had soup that was almost empty and they had just opened up about an hour before we arrived. No bread no salt and pepper. The only good thing I can say is our server Abbey was wonderful and very accommodating. She did take 2 of our meals off the bill. The other dish was broiled fish and chips. Dry and no flavor.

I had the fish fry, my wife had the walleye. We had a reservation. I was impressed that the orders came out quickly, but, after the first bite it was obvious that the entree was pre-made and sat around a while. Fries were cold and inedible. No rolls, just a piece of marbled rye. The cod was ok but if this is the best fish fry in town, I feel sorry for the locals. Wife only ate a part of her walleye. She was dissatisfied as well. The best part was the salad bar. No complaints there.

Absolutely maybe the worst place I've visited.Walked in at around 3:45 and it took 5 minutes to be greeted. After 5 more minutes of the hostess figuring out of it was lunch or dinner she decided to give us both menus.We were seated and asked for drinks. I ordered merlot.They came back with something else and I said "no", I order merlot of the menu you provided. In a disgust she came back with the correct drink.We decided to get an appetizer before our meal which was ok, nothing special at all.After syrups 10 minutes the waitress decided to tell us we would have to wait 45 minutes for our meals, I asked for our check.There was much confusion and unorganized chaos throughout our 20 entire minutes. This is a bar that maybe once was good,but no longer. The hostess was horrible, kitchen staff unorganized, and bar was in chaos. The waitress we had was the only nice person there,and seemed to be emberrassed by all this,I don't blame her.We decided to drive to Schaumburgs and have an excellent meal.

I wanted this place to be so good! The location is wonderful and the clubhouse is beautiful -- but the service and the food left a ton to be desired. When I called the restaurant to see if they were open a grumpy man answered "hello" as if it was his own phone. Our server didn't know much about the menu and wasn't sure what was being offered or what wines were available. This place needs to continue focusing on improving the basics -- but the potential is definitely there!

My wife and I thought we would try a new place and drove to GL and found this restaurant. It was Ok. Hostess was not very welcoming. Seemed confused as to if we could be seated or not. Anyways, the food was average. Entrees werePrime Rib and Duck. Nothing outstanding or noteworthy to mention. Just Ok.

My friend and I chose 680 North for dinner last week. Both of our meals were outstanding. The chef is accomplished and the server was very attentive. We sat by the big stone fireplace and it was a cozy evening of catching up with fine food and good drink. Definitely a place for a great meal! And the scenery outside the big bar window is stunning.

We recently visited 680 there were 14 of us. First of all they did not seat us together with no explanation. Out of 14 of us only 3 meals were satisfactory. Steaks were tough seafood inedible chicken dry a burnt toast and finally my cheeseburger was like a hockey puck. I've been here numerous times and always had a good meal. I don't know what happened but management needs to get a handle. The only bright spot was our server she was great.

It wasn't very good. I'll just be honest. The prices are decent enough, but the service and food is very lacking. I got the ceasar salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was wilty and soggy. I had asked for no cheese, and that had to be corrected when the salad came out. My brother got salmon. It was overcooked and under seasoned. Very disappointing. He still ate it, because we didn't want to complain twice. He got fries with the salmon, along with the soup of the day. The fries were terrible. Like microwaved from frozen is what they tasted like. The soup was actually very good. So it was the star of the meal. Our drinks went unfilled for quite a long time. We kept trying and failing to get the attention of our waiter. He really seemed to have better things to do. I wouldn't come back.
