Ordered ahead and took the el over after a cubs game. Some of the best Chicago sale pizza I've ever had. The service was amazing but if you plan to eat there its no frills.

Milly's has long been the name I immediately give to folks asking for the best deep dish in Chicago. And while that's up for debate, and of course it isn't classic deep dish, I always felt confident the person I was sending there would get a high quality pie with stunning, caramelized crust. The outer crust remains as good as I've ever had. The ingredients remain fresh. But, after two "just ok" orders, I have to knock them back down to 4 stars. Yes, the ingredients are fresh, but they're less and less than ever. A few pieces of unmelted mozz, some overly drenched spinach, and mushrooms if you look hard enough. Also, the sauce, long an issue for me, is just far too much. Especially as these are not dine-in, by the time you get it home the sauce has seeped into the crust and all over the toppings, making it soggy and a challenging bite. If they cut the sauce in half, which I specifically asked for in my last order, I'd look past the stingy toppings and be thrilled for a great bite. I contend they could use a little more seasoning in their dough, but this is a standard issue across most of my favorite gourmet pies in Chicago. I love that Robert has found success and even opened a second restaurant. I know he cares and always wants to put out the best product he can. I just know there's possible perfection here, and it seems like that's not really what they're going for right now. Especially at these prices, it will certainly make me pause before my next order.

The pizza still tastes great but there seems to be less and less actual pizza and more and more crust. The pizza I just picked up had like 3, maybe 4 inches of crust and 10-11" of actual ingredients and sauce on a 14" pizza. When the the owner used to make the pies, it only had maybe an inch of crust surrounding the pizza. I'm not sure if they are skimping on the ingredients or the customers prefer a lot of crust or the it's just the way the new guys make it since they've been expanding. I just had to say something cause I love the pizza. I just feel like I'm getting mostly the crust these days.

Stopped by before a concert at the Aragon. They were close to sell out so would definitely recommend calling ahead. As it was our first visit, we asked for a pepperoni pie and they suggested adding ricotta. We picked a booth and chilled while waiting for our pizza. The space is small but was empty, seems like most folks order pickup.Oh we also had some Italian sodas that were crisp and refreshing! The pizza was ready in about 20 min and we ate it just as quickly. The crust is light and has a fluffiness to it which I did not expect. The sauce had a nice tangy acidity that played well with the ricotta. Between the three of us, the smaller pie was plenty!

I didn't want to like Milly's. Partly because it's been so hyped up, and partly because I don't need to get addicted to a $40 pizza. Is it worth $40? Sadly, pretty much.We had the Que Suerte: pineapple, jalapeño, bacon, and cherry tomato. What stands out first is the quality of ingredients. The tomato sauce is saucier than one might expect, but it is absolutely luscious. Mozzarella is likewise extraordinary in texture and richness. Pineapple and jalapeños are an inspired combination on that perfect sauce. The bacon is premium quality too, and generous pieces of it.Then there's the crust. If you've had Pequod's, you'll recognize the baked on cheese. You should know this is better than Pequod's. Perfect crunch with absolutely no bitter, burnt taste. That said, the breadiness of the crust is not my favorite. But this pizza has a lot going for it. A LOT.The 14 inch is listed at $30 dollars, but with ordering fee and tip, plan on $40. Order midweek for the weekend, and you're good to go. In the future, I may elect to sit there with the pizza to enjoy it at maximum freshness. There's 3 or 4 booths, and it looks like a very old-school pizza place. Not fancy in any way, but also perfectly comfortable.Service was fast and efficient. Online ordering is the toughest part of the process, and the hardest part of that is getting off the couch to go get your credit card.I won't go to Milly's regularly because-- you know-- $40 for a pizza. But it's craveable stuff, and that will likely keep bringing me back. At least once in a while.

This pizza place has been on our list since it was a ghost kitchen in Logan Square. Forgot about for ahwile and then this pizzeria featured on Dave Portnoy's One Bite Reviews (7.9). They scored well and I knew that I had to make my way North to try this restaurant out. We ordered the Uptown Pizza which has Kumato tomatoes, spinach, red onions, pepperoni, sausage, olives, sweet mini peppers & fresh mozzarella. I ordered on Tock to ensure pickup. They sell out often so this is the best option. Ordering was easy. Pickup was also easy as plenty of metered parking. I parked a block down near the liquor store. Also good because I could grab some cold beer to go with our pizza. Price point and quality was 5 stars for sure. We enjoyed every bite. Crust taste like a grilled cheese sandwich. Yummy. The crust is pan but not so thick like a chicago deep dish. The toppings were fresh and superior quality. We enjoyed every topping on our pizza and would hands down get it again. Worth the drive and now my favorite pizza joint in Chicago for pan pizza.

The best pizza you'll ever have. Not even close to kidding. I wanted like a salad place to open up in Uptown or maybe like a taco place... certainly not a pizza place - I mean I like pizza but I don't love it and it's not exactly healthy. But no instead I got the best pizza ever baking daily a five minute walk away from me. It's both a blessing and a curse.

Best pie I've had in a goddamn long while. Crust? Crispy, fluffy, risen (like Jesus). The toppings have extreme amounts of clarity--the tomato sauce tastes heavily of sweet&sour, ripe tomatoes. The peppadews are sweet, peppery, with a slight twinge of heat. The pepperoni? Ronilicious. The crust is lined with that caramelized cooked-to-the-edge-of-oblivion craunchy cheese. Every component tastes of meticulous selection. The dollops of creamy ricotta bring everything together in each bite. This is a rich, boisterous pie, I daresay the pinnacle of Chicago pizza. Order ahead, you get your pie, and there is no line.

I honestly absolutely cannot recommend Milly's enough. I am typically a thin crust Chicago pizza type of gal but I was blown away after trying Milly's tonight. My boyfriend was able to secure a pie and thank God he did because I'm officially one of their biggest fans. From the perfect crunchy crust to their one of a kind sauce, I can't wait until I can get my hands on my next Milly's pizza for more reasons than one. We got half pepperoni (for my boyfriend) and half cheese (for me) along with crunchy chili flakes and WOW! Just wow. Definitely a top 3 pizza place for me

A delicious pizza that will surely satisfy. I picked up the Clickbait, which is their veggie pizza. All the ingredients were fresh and you could tell that there was a lot of quality control for what actually goes on the pizza. Each veggie had a great crunch to it. The sauce is rich and not too sweet. The crust is perfectly crispy and flavorful while maintaining a soft dough on the inside. The pizza does cool down quickly. I got mine right as they were packing it up and it was relatively cool about 10-15 min later. I would recommend getting the oven hot and throwing it in for a bit. The place itself is simple and takeout is clearly the main way you're meant to consume the pizza. Do yourself a favor and pick up this much-talked-about pizza and enjoy.
