Milk & Honey is a cafe set up in the lobby of the Ina Levine Jewish Community Center on Scottsdale rd. The cafe is open to the public, but upon entering, you are greeted by Scottsdale police at the security desk and asked for a driver's license to enter. The menu was surprisingly quite extensive for being a small cafe that offers both counter takeaway service and seated service. The menu includes breakfast, sushi, pastas, pizza, salads, burgers, wraps, and dessert. I went at breakfast time, but the reviews I've read for lunch are amazing. I ordered their signature lavender latte and a potato boureka. I had asked what it was, and the barista explained it was filled with mashed potato. Mashed potatoes in a golden puff pastry? Of course, I had to try it. It was warm and perfect for a light bite on a rainy morning. They also had a mushroom option and a spinach with feta. Then I Googled to find out what a boureka is. Bourekas or burekas are a popular baked pastry in Sephardic Jewish cuisine and Israeli cuisine. I then went down the rabbit hole to find what Sephardic means. Per Wikipedia, "Sephardi Jews encompass Jews descended from those Jews who left the Iberian Peninsula as Jews by the expiration of the respective decreed deadlines. This group is further divided between those who fled south to North Africa, as opposed to those who fled eastwards to the Balkans, West Asia, and beyond." I love a chance to learn something new!

I didn't realize this place was in a community center, but that wasn't a problem! I was able to find it pretty easily. I ordered online to pick up. It was ready shortly after I arrived and the girl working there was nice! I got an iced lavender latte, which was very pretty, but tasted like pure water with a splash of latte flavor. I didn't drink it and just threw it away. I also got the avocado toast which was bland, avocado on 2 slices of stale untoasted rye with a couple slices of tomato. Also threw that out. The side salad takes the cake as the worst though as the mixed greens were completely rotting. I'm sad I wasted money on a meal here, but now I know! Nice people in here though!

Loved everything we got here. Freshly made food for breakfast lunch and dinner, everything we got to eat there in the restaurant and from the bakery for later was just lovely and the man who waited our table was amazing. Best bakery and restaurant in general but in addition, has the best vegetarian options too, friendly to dietary restrictions.

We have been wanting to get out and try this place. Finally doing a pick up order. All 3 kids had the Mac and cheese kids meal they all said it needed a bit more flavor, so I tried it. I totally get it is aimed towards kids so totally understand what they are talking about. Over all they liked it. It was nice to have so many healthy side options for them. They chose the seasonal fruit cup. Many kids drink options also. Hubby had an impossible burger whish he was pleased with.I enjoyed a veggie hummus wrap. It was fresh and yummy. The fires are super YUM! We are excited to return and try other menu items!!

I ate here for brunch with a friend. The place was clean and the service was great. We shared a delicious iced coffee, quesadilla and pesto pasta. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. It was summer time so camp in the JCC was in full swing with many campers walking around. The surroundings are noisy but I thought it just added to the JCC ambience. There are petals hanging from the ceiling to try to square in the restaurant which I liked. Would definitely recommend this place for a delicious light brunch or lunch.

Honestly I'd give this place 4.5 stars since the food was super fresh and delicious! But the ambiance leaves a littleeee to be desired. Not that that can be helped much given the location in a community center.So. My friends and I were famished and hungover, about to depart our Airbnb on a Sunday the (very) late morning after going out and dancing hard for my bestie's bachelorette party when we realized the brunch spot we had reservations at was going to be $$$ and I make minimum wage people. Anyway. We quickly googled brunch foooood and stumbled upon this place which a) has good reviews b) is affordable and c) nearby. Heck to the yes. Dressed up in our summery brunch apparel we arrived and well, were a little surprised concerning the whereabouts of the eatery but hey! Go with the flow is the motto. The atmosphere is very casual but they do have table service and offer a full lunch menu. No booze aka mimosas though, tear. The Hummus Veggie Wrap (kale, tomato, avocado, cucumber, hummus and sunflower seeds, $9) served with Israeli salad (tomatoes and cuke with parsley?) was super fresh, healthy and tasty. Yum! I had a couple bites of the fruit side which was top of the line too. Most everyone seemed to enjoy their food despite the lack of citrusy bubbles. I did try a homemade sweet potato fry (the light flesh variety) which wasn't the best considering flavor and texture but everything else was yummy in the tummy.Service was decent and I did enjoy the experience overall. Bonus points for delicious vegan options!!

Definitely our family's favorite restaurant in AZ. Food is always excellent and not overly priced. The only drawback is that it can be extremely loud sometimes due to it being inside the JCC (especially when there is camp) but just as long as you time your visit right, you are in good hands!
