We decided to settle the Mike's vs Modern Cannoli debate for ourselves. We grabbed a hazelnut and peanut butter cannoli from Mike's and then a vanilla cream filled, chocolate covered cannoli from Modern Pastry. My husband and I both agreed that Mike's Pastry was better. We felt the pastry had perfect layers with the perfect about of flake with each bite. The cannoli had a nice ride to the pastry, whereas Moderns was more flat. Both Mike's and Modern Pastry requires cash only payments- so keep that in mind. The line at Mike's was a lot longer, but it moves pretty quickly. There is no seating in Mikes- like there is in Moderns, but you can walk a few blocks down and eat at a nice park with swings. Try both places and see which is your favorite!

We went here because the other location was overcrowded. Surprisingly, even though the food court was busy, there was no line at Mike's Pastry. Great place to grab these famous cannoli on the go

Chocolate Chip Cannoli (4/5): Rich and creamy filling with a nice crumbly shell. Also not overly sweet. In the Mike's vs Modern Pastry debate, I preferred Mike's because of the thicker, creamier filling and more crumbly shell. RATING SYSTEM5 - Great (Need to get this again)4 - Good (Would get this again)3 - Ok (Might give this another shot)2 - Not Good (Won't get this again)1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

"Cannoli Heaven" The cannolis at mikes pastry have been my favorite since I was a kid . Raised in Boston this place is a staple . They just keep getting better. The parking is meters on the street. The cost is good for the quality and portion size. The service is amazing. The ambience is welcoming and friendly.

I got a chocolate dipped lobster tail. It tasted stale! Wasn't crispy or soft but very chewy. It was like a glorified cream puff. Taste wise was good but I can't see myself ever getting it again. The cream was good, especially the cannoli filling so maybe i should have stuck to what theyre known for.

My husband and I really enjoyed our cannolis from Mikes! Each had a unique taste that was not too overwhelmingly rich. Next time we return to the city, we will be trying new flavors because we only were able to try two!

The cannolis are amazing!! I do not have much to gage this information on but as a tourist from the Midwest and first time visiting Boston I can say I would eat about 10 of these things!!! Are the lines long? Yes,, but they go fast. Was the service exceptional? It's worth the wait. They have such a variety of pastries here and maybe someday I'll be back to try some of the other delicious items they have here. They don't have much of an ambiance here except for the smell of baked goods.

There is usually a line. So, get in line and gut it out because these are the best cannoli in Boston. My lovely bride adores their pistachio cannoli and I always wolf down the chocolate chip version. We also love the chocolate-dipped macaroons and the anise biscotti. But you really can't go wrong with anything here. Even when the ambiance is hectic, the service is always prompt and pleasant. Highly recommended!

Not worth the hype.Bought three huge cannolis. One strawberry, one chocolate chip, and one with a different shell (the Florentine I think). They were immense and worth the money at $6 a pop. Also, this location took card, unlike the original location, which only takes cash and has a line wrapping around the corner. The strawberry was too sweet. The chocolate chip was better but also too much. The Florentine was the best of the three, and even then, I've had better.I don't think this was worth it, but I am not disappointed either. The portions were generous and I escaped the hellish lines they're known for. That said, if that had not been the case, I'd definitely rate lower. The best cannoli I've had surprisingly has been in Atlanta.

Great service yesterday at Mikes! As always the pastries were above and beyond wonderful! This place is excellent! We had even better service this time than we did a couple years ago when in Boston
