Midtown Cafe

We stopped in for breakfast on a trip to Nashville. The food and service were both fantastic!

This amazing place was within walking distance of our hotel. We did not have reservations, but had no problems getting seated right away. I loved the ambiance of this restaurant and the lighting was just perfect. I noticed that there was a small bar available with a great selection of bourbon.I decided to try the Caesar salad and Chicken Scaloppini. My husband ordered the salmon. His salmon was seasoned to perfection, the texture was great and the risotto was very good. My chicken was very tender and the flavor was just delicious! For dessert, we tried the Jack Daniels Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie. It was served with ice cream which made it even better. The service at this restaurant was excellent. This place was the perfect spot for a date night. There were a few groups of maybe 4-5 people, but it was not too loud. Overall, great dining experience. We will be sure to return for breakfast the next time we are in Nashville. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was fantastic! Reservations recommended since this spot gets busy even first thing in the morning. Came here for a business meeting. It's quaint with Southern charm. Fresh flowers on all tables! Walking distance from midtown hotels and Vanderbilt University. For breakfast, I ordered the fried green tomato Benedict with smoked salmon, white Gouda grits and a homemade biscuit. Talk about a southern breakfast! So fresh, so good. Our server was great too. Very attentive but let us stay there to work too.

**Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** The word "Hot" is in the title for a reason--this sandwich is hotttt! Be prepared with extra ranch and water refills because it packs some serious heat. Very tasty, and perfect for those who love a bit of .**Avocado Toast with Chicken Sausage:** I opted for poached eggs on top, which made for a great brunch order. The additional chicken sausage added just the right touch. While I enjoyed it, I probably wouldn't order it again.**Service and Atmosphere:** We were seated quickly without a reservation on a Wednesday around 11:00 AM. However, consider making a reservation because it fills up fast with a business lunch crowd. Great service overall--I would recommend it!

Ran into Chapel Hart here if that also helps. I came to Midtown Cafe for breakfast during my birthday weekend. I hadn't been here before but the food was delicious! Out server was super nice and willing to remake my aunt's order when it came out incorrectly. It was corrected so fast! I ordered their tostadas and highly recommend.

Nice restaurant downtown. They have valet parking because it is literally impossible to find a park anywhere. The nachos were okay and the French kiss was nice and strong. The meatloaf was okay along with the mashed potato's. Customer service was nice. I hope you enjoy.

This little place is a gem . Staff and service exceptional! You know it's good when there is a line out the door so s reservation is a must ! Had the Bennie and wife had huevos rancheros. Mine was delicious! My wife is a chef and very critical, she said it's was the best she has had and better than she could make . I highly recommend this place !

Still traveling as a herd with three Japanese engineers and an interpreter plus product development and myself and a salesman so reservations are required. Small unassuming place within walking distance of our hotel which was awesome since parking is limited in Nashville. We were seat upon arrival and the place was packed. Local cafe vibe not at all high end in the feel till you get to the menu and the options. Outstanding selection and variety on the menu. I had the shrimp pasta and lobster bisque as well as a crab cake which I missed getting a pix of. The shrimp pasta was good but I would have like more garlic but then I love garlic. The crab cakes were very good. The lobster bisque was delicious and smooth but no chunks of lobster in it. We also had a mussel appetizer that I also mixed a pix of that was delicious and it came with bread to sop up the juice with. Delicious but you guessed it I could have used more garlic. Great experience and food and service was phenomenal.

A gem. Small but it packs a punch. I enjoyed the lemon and artichoke soup. Very refreshing and a wonderful combination. Service was fast and friendly. My entree was the sea bass with lobster risotto. Yummy and beautifully presented. They have good gluten-free options that will appeal to every taste. A cozy place that welcomed me on a Saturday evening.

We are from San Diego , this cafe made us feel like we were VIP.Great food. Service was wonderful.Amazing mini biscuits!Shout out to Tess, you are a great waitress .
